Congrats Myhb! You and DH must be thrilled. All the best for a healthy nine months.

My old coworker just gave birth to her IVF twins 5 weeks early on Friday night. Her babies are in NICU because of underdeveloped lungs. She sent pictures of her 4 pounders. They looked so tiny with all the tubes and monitors attached. I think she had them vaginally because they were 2 hours apart!

Hi Ladies - Thank you all for all of the well wishes. I definitely could not have gotten through this without you. I hope my BFP is a start of all good things to come for all of us for the rest of the month/year. It still hasn't fully sunk in yet but I am sure it will soon enough. It is so sad because I still haven't erased the message the nurse left me telling me that I am pregnant. I keep having to replay it to make myself believe that is for real  .

Lola - I can honestly say (now that I've gotten the BFP) that not running for all of this time was worth it. I've been going bonkers because I think I have all of this pent up energy within me that I would have normally released during a nice, hard run. My poor DH, having to deal with a wife who can't run. I am sure your DH can sympathize  . How are you handling not running?

Girls, my ER was moved again, I will stay on BCP for 2 more weeks, starting stims on the 19th and the ER will be sometime on the 30th. My estrogen is finally down to 10, but the RE wants me to stay on BCP little longer. I will do whatever it takes, I am a real TURTLE now....

Alicia -- how are those shots going? When is your estimated ER? It is all coming, ha?

Wannababy and Mia - I have posted an answer for you on the General forum regarding the phytoestrogens.Image

Lola - Remember that even turtles make it to the finish line  . I am glad to hear the your estrogen level is down to an acceptable level. You seem to trust your RE so as frustrating as it may be, just hang in there and you'll be stimming soon enough.

I am thinking of you and sending plenty of baby dust your way.

Alicia --- I know you are going to hear this now like hundred times, but it really only takes one! I have heard stories where they had twins out of 6 follies. Please stay positive and hope for the best! It can happen!Image I will be happy if I have 6 follies, after all I have gone through. I told my nurse today that if I get all the way to ER, I will be celebrating. She had to laugh. So please please stay as much positive as you can!!!! Image

Myhb - thanks a lot for your support, you know as a runner it is hard to be a turtle all of the sudden, but I hope I will get there! Take a good care of yourself now and eat a lot of protein! Have a nice big round belly soon!Image

Suzhan, thanks a lot, I was reading your response on the other post. When are you starting again, any news? Hope you'll start soon!Image

Hi Alicia,

I got twins out of 7 eggies so there you go, I won't allow you to be negative. Pray those eggies will be strong and perfect and that they'll want to stick to their mummy's belly instead of crying I want 20 eggies blah blah. Every eggie is a blessing and you keep super positive with your latest blessing and they'll be the ones. All the best and let us know how you get on.

Love
Rittie

Lola - Thanks sweetie! I wish I was half as strong as you. Your right I should be greatful for my little 6 and you inspire me to be more positive. Thanks again.

Rittie - Wow! Your story has really helped my outlook. I always thought most women who got a BFP had lots of follies to work with. Thanks for your words, and I will be positive that God has blessed me.

Now that I am done crying (so emotional) I want to say how much I appreciate this board for their support. I would be insane without you girls.

Love you all,
Alicia

Alicia, I am glad you are feeling little better. It think that if you have less follies, they are probably better quality as opposed to having too many. I think that's why Rittie ended up with twins! You will be a mommy soon!!!! I will pray for you!Image Lola

Alicia - I'm sending every ounce of PMA that I can. In addition to what everyone else has said, remember that it's quality that counts. And, I've read a lot that sometimes when you have loads of eggs, the quality suffers. So, keep your focus on the fact that you're healthy and you're sending every ounce of your positive spirit to those eggs so that they're the best quality possible! You can do it, I know it!

Lola - I'm still lurking here awaiting AF.....or hoping not to get AF, I guess if truth be told. My acupuncturist gave us a treatment last week right after I ovulated and said I should wait 12-14 days and if no AF, she'll order a blood test (didn't know acupuncturists could do that but she said she can)? Now, what I didn't ask was 12-14 days from....when? I guess 12-14 days from O date (any ideas???)

It sounds crazy, but she gave me some hope that perhaps it's possible since we're 'unexplained'. She also put a semi-permanent acupuncture 'dart' in my ear which she said provides ongoing relaxation to the uterus to help implanation. It feels really wierd. So, I guess I'm officially in a 2 ww - lol! Actually, I've been having loads of cramping, so I think AF will be here soon.

I'm soooo excited you've gotten the green light to start stims on the 19th! I'm rooting for you!

Take care everyone! xoxoxoxo

Hi Alicia - Please don't get discouraged by the number of follicles. All you need is one good egg and that is what I am hoping for. I am sending you all the best and I know that it is going to work this time. Don't give up yet. Remember that it is the quality, not quantity that counts.

Do you have an estimated ER date yet?

Lola - I know all too well about slowing down to be a turtle but it will be worth it when you get your BFP. Just think of this time as rest/recovery time and when you can run again, you'll be as good as new.
