Hey girls! Wow, alot of posts since I was here last. Welcome KF06, Amy and Nicola!!!

Rachel, sorry you've got to wait longer to start your cycle. I wish you the best. You can still chat with us anytime if you like.

Tonia, how did your meeting go? I hate getting stressed out before a meeting. I used to do that everytime I have to meet with the CEO of our hospital.

Kristen, that's great that your insurance is covering your meds. My ins covered the Lupron and Prog oil but that will be it probably. I'll still have to pay about $2,500 out of my pocket for the remaining meds. Oh well, that's better than nothing covered. :)

Looks like alot of us are going to be downregging at the same time. SO EXCITING!!! We'll have to share stories about the experience of our first injection.

Mia, you're doing a wonderful job with the list. We deeply appreciate you!!! :D When will you start Lupron?

Thanks ladies, doing the list is my pleasure. I don't know how fast I'll be able to keep up with everyone's news, especially with the thread moving so fast and growing now! LOL. I'll do my best. It's so great to see that some are already starting. It won't be long before we get to that crazy 2ww and then BFPs!!

Jovigal and Kristen,
I saved a few bucks when I did my last IVF. Every little bit helps, right? My Ins paid for all my Prog. The pills, PIO, suppositories. So I paid $3000 instead of the $4000 to $5000 I thought I would. :D This time for my FET all I need is BCP, Lupron, estrogen patches and PIO, maybe more Prog pills and estradiol later. I think all I will have to pay for is the patches and Lupron. I don't know if my Ins. will pay for Lupron or not. I'm not sure exactly when I start Lupron. The nurse said I would start around 4-6 days after starting BCP. I will start BCP after AF starts, which is due on the 9th. :) One more week, Yay!

Rachel, sorry to see you go. Best of luck on your next cycle! Please let us know when you get your BFP. :)

Hi ladies.

This is my 2nd IVF, last one cancelled in Sept. :( Went to the dr. beginning of this week, and started meds to clean out my ovaries. Hopefully should be starting process in one more week?? It looks like a November er & et !!! Praying this one goes better than the last... Glad to join with people that are all around the same time. I agree, all BFP for everyone!!!!

No medical coverage for anything here...all out of pocket. Running low on funds, hoping this time will be the charm.
Keeping the faith!

Mia, your insurance will probably cover the Lupron since it is a medication used to treat other dx such as endimetriosis (sp?). That's the only reason it covered mine. If the meds are used for infertility only, my ins won't cover. I'm trying to get in extra work to pay for my IVF this time. I really hate to eat into my retirement if I don't have to...

Welcome, M'BA...You've found a great bunch of ladies to offer you support through your IVF process. Sorry you have no ins coverage. My ins won't pay for the procedure but will for the u/s and labs and a few of the meds. I'm still going to be out about $7k. I really hate that ins companies don't see that infertility is a medical problem. Maybe one day they will...

Jovigal, Your probably right since Luprons used to treat other things. That's great. Looks like my bill for meds might be just a few hundered dollars. :)
Your IVF is 7k? Gosh, mine was 12k! Fortunatly my FET is part of the deal since I didn't get PG in the fresh cycle.

I forgot to mention that even though our PPO does not cover IVF or infertility treatment. Our benefits rep told my husband that they have paid for IVF on a case by case basis. They never tell anyone, few people know, but she said that if we can get a letter from our RE that says it's a "medical neccessity" for me to get IVF, they MIGHT pay for our IVF. It couldn't hurt to ask your benefits rep if they would do something like that.

Some days I just feel so anxious! I just want to get started on this next journey. Physically feeling well though, so that is good. Trying to convince myself that this time is good to prepare myself for what is ahead!!

Question about exercise... I have heard so many different reports about exercise and IVF. A week ago on the news they were saying that there was more success with women who did not exercise than those who did with IVF?? I love to jog, and have not been going since I started this whole process in fear of doing something wrong. Everyone just keeps saying take it easy, but there are mental benefits to jogging for me? Just wondering if anyone has heard info. on benefits/drawbacks to exercise. I know that after transfer strenuous exercise is a no no, but how about before injections start, and during injections?

Thanks for adding me to the list, it brought a smile to my face!!! Glad to be apart of such a great groups of ladies!!

M'BA, I've not heard about the "no exercise" prior to transfer. I'm not sure how that can harm you. :?: BTW, I love your subtitle in your signature "Keeping the Faith", sorta like the song "Keep the Faith" by Bon Jovi...

Hi M'BA welcome to the group. Wishing you lots of luck this time.
Not sure i can help you with the exercise question but am wondering about it myself. Personally I would think that until you start your meds anything that keeps you healthy in body and mind would be beneficial for you. A year ago i moved into a 14 acre olive farm and we are getting to a very busy time that is very strenuous, last time i took it easy doing light gardening and once i had EC i stopped, think i am going to take it easy this time too (gets me out of nasty jobs  ). Olives need to be picked start of November but think i can do that because its only light work.

I think the list looks fab Mia thanks for doing it. I am hopeless at computors i have tried to get a ticker but can't figure out how you put what you are waiting for at the bottom of the ticker? Do you do it in the signature box once you have copied the ticker and does it move automatically each day? :?

Picked up my synarel nose spray today and it has reminded me of the horrible taste i have to look forward to YUCK! Has anyone else had this?

Cheekymonkey glad you survived your mother in law staying and you can post again. I find it hard when i haven't been able to check the site for a few days. I live with my mother in law and even though she is great and we get on really well i enjoy the time when she goes out.

Take care all

Hi everyone,
Thanks for including me in the Nov buddies! I'm still down-regging, desperately waiting for AF to arrive so I can start on the estrogen for uterine thickening. Why is it when you don't want Af it comes, then when you do want it, it doesn't!!!! Aarrrghhhh!
Hope you are all doing ok at your stages of tmt.
baby dust to you all!

Hi All,

Welcome to M'BA, glad to have you here with us all, everyone on here is great and there is always someone around when you need cheering up!
Claire - Hope that AF comes soon for you, it is weird that normally we spend our time hoping it wont come and the few times you want it to come it takes it's time!!! Im sure it won't be too long and you will be able to get started!
Ellie - I get on well with my MIL too, but I feel like I have to constantly entertain when she is here, and if there is a time when normally I would leave doing the dishes and come on here instead I won't when she is here cause I don't want her thinking I don't look after her son!! LOL
It is good that you can get out of doing the nasty jobs on the olive farm and just remember that the horrible taste from the nasal spray will be worth it!
Well that is all for now, I have to go cause hubby wants the computer for something, if only I could afford a laptop then I could be on all the time! HaHa
