Charity - my DH says exactly the same thing to me, he'll say 'remind me how old youa re again? Time to part ex you!!!! It's even worse at the mo cos he is still in his 20's, he's only just hanging in there til Nov though! he is also crazy about cars and has his head under the bonnet of one as we speak! Boys and their toys eh??

Just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Nicola. Hope your birthday wishes come true.

And Haylie and Charity, I too have a younger DH. Only by 9 months, but boy does he like to point it out. We have a three month window when we are the same age, so we got married in those three months because I didn't want to be an older woman on the marriage certificate!! Toy boys are definitely the way forward!!

Feeling really bloated and a bit sick today. Taking this as a good sign that my follies are getting nice and big. It's actually quite uncomfortable for me to bend down. I really want next week to be over and these eggs outta me! There's only so much stimming a girl can do!!! Back for my 4th (and hopefully last) scan on Monday.....

jen j- just read your post from the other day and thought i'd just let you know that i too had a 2 day transfer. the little pic they gave me showed they had divided into 2 cells but that by the time they put them back they will be 4. my understanding is they would like to get them back where they belong as soon as poss to do their thing. don't know if it's worked yet though! hope this helps

Racheal-I hope you have the best cry of your life. Sometimes it really does make you feel better. I am so sorry that you are dealing with this and going through so much. I am glad you are able to look forward and try to pick up the pieces a bit. It's so hard to be just in limbo all the time. Best wishes to you and your DH. I know you still have a chance but I completely understand the need to stop focusing on this and move on with life. My thoughts are with you and I hope, if anything, you have gained some insight or knowledge or a new perspective from your experience-something positive to take from this difficult situation. We never know where life is taking us and I am willing to bet that you are on a road to somewhere great. I am thinking of you today.

Jeck-thanks for your kind words. I am so sorry that you had to go through so much in your childhood-that must have been difficult when you were so young. My dh has said similar things-he does his best to make me feel ok about the situation. I'm doing my best to keep busy but I think I won't feel totally better until it's done!

One thing that made me feel great this morning was the needle and medication purge that we did! What a relief! I told DH I don't want anymore needles, syringes, sharps containers, etc in my line of sight. We gathered up everything (had tons of extra needles from previous cycles too) and tossed it out in the trash outside. I have officially rid my house and fridge of infertility!! Except for my crinone gel but that's ok . . .

Gina-thanks for your 2 day transfer info. I got the feeling from my clinic that they thought the embryos might develop better if transferred back earlier. It's strange that most people do the 3 or 5 day though. I guess by that point they can see how strong they are better than 2 days? I don't know but glad I'm not the only one. Fingers crossed for you!

Haylie-So glad you have 6 frozen! That's great-enough for a 2nd child!

Nicola-HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Best wishes to you! Hope it has been great and that you did something nice.

Hey Ladies!!

I have my 2 of my little ones on back on board!!!!!!

I am so glad to have them back!!

I talked them into letting me test on day 9, So I will test Oct 16th!

They froze 4 this morning and will check the rest of them tomorrow to see if there is any more that they can freeze... But at least I have 4!

Congratulations Jeck!! I worry about feeling empty for those few days until my embies are back, so I totally understand what you mean about having them back. You take care, and rest up...That BFP is just around the corner...Yeah!!

Haylie,thats brilliant news,6 frosties is good,a sibling for your son or daughter..PLEASE dont do HPT's they are a nightmare,you dont have long to wait hang in there(hard i know!!).....

Heres my experiences of HPT,the 1st time i did ivf,i was impatient,thought this has to work,so i STUPIDLY started testing 2days after transfer,now logically i know this was an idiot thing to do,and obviously was gonna be neg,but everday i did 1 sometime 2,got negs everytime but was too stupid to see what was really happening,i was obssesed,every morning i got a neg but had to do it so i could get on with my day and even after 15 negs,i still kept thinking its too early to test anyway and theres no way ill get a BFN,so when i started bleeding i couldnt believe it and was devestated..my advice to everyone is leave well away from them,they are soul destroying...

Charity.BecP and everyone else..thanks so much for the birthday wishes..had a good day,and my constant thought was this time next year i'll have a baby...PLEASE GOD!!

Miracles do happen. there is a lady named Zirly on the Sept thread and her little embies went thru a mishap with the PGD test and they transfered 1 anyway and she is preggers. Go find her name and read her posts. You will be amazed!! Miracles do happen and she is proof of that!!
