Good morning! I am soooooooo tired and sooooooooo queesy! I walk around feeling like I could get sick at any given moment. I never felt this way with my boys...so I guess it is a girl thing.
The bachelorette (hen party) was fun but I wasn't so into it. It went til 3 a.m. but I bailed out at 12 a.m.
Don't have time for personals...gonna go lay down and try to rest.

First time IVFer
Hello all
Well we have both managed to have a full day off work today and you know what it has been so long that half way through the day we were both bored. We still haven't got any extra help for work though so it is going to be another busy week.
Jackie - Doesn't IVF and pregnancy seem like one long waiting game. Before I was pregnant I read on here about someone saying that waiting for the scan was worse than the 2ww and I was really sceptical, but you know that person was right. I really can't wait for the scan next week but it does seem to be taking a long time to get here. Then I guess I will be waiting for the 12 weeks mark for the next scan, and hopefully for the morning sickness to wear off abit.
Nimble - I hope that the spotting has calmed down now and that you are well. Stress at work is something you definately don't need at the moment. Just think of that nice long break coming up.
Jemima - Not long now for your test date and hopefully you will be joining us on this thread. It is nice that Jackie has put your name on the waiting list.
Zirly - I hope that you enjoyed your night out.
Well i am going to finish now as DH has gone out to fetch a pizza for us. Strange but it is the only thing I fancy to eat that I don't think will make the sickness any worse.

Its so werid I still feel like it was all yesterday when I posted the news.. Time has dragged at points and I feel like we just keep overcoming these hurdles.. Like the the beta test than the first scan than the second than the heartbeat.. I am really excited to move on to my new doctor and get another scan on nugget..

I can now officially join this thread! I just got the call from my doctor's office. My beta was 157!!!!! I am so, so happy. Last time my beta was 78, so I am thrilled that my level is high this time. I go back on Wednesday to see if the number has doubled.

sorry to just drop in on your thread but I have a little to add to what Aunty said.
I had a boy six years ago and I have never in my life been that sick. I was sick all day for the first six months, hospitalized 2 times for dehydration. So I am going to have to disagree with that statment.
Also, another trick I was told was that if the heartbeat was over 160 it is a boy if it is under than it is a girl.
You will hear a lot of tricks on how to tell what your having, but the truth is you have to wait until the ultrasound or when you have the baby.

Aunty, I am so so sorry I did not mean for it to sound as though you were giving info that was not true. Me myself got very sick which does not happen like that to everyone and I believe is highly unusual. I feel AWFUL!!! I nosed in to a conversation that was not intended for me and I offended you. My gosh its turn cold here again today!!....Brrrrrrrr feels like winter starign all over again when summer should be starting.

LOL re the old wives tales. My mum told be one... you lie onbed/sofa with tummy exposed. Put some threadthough your wedding band and hold it above your tummy. If it swings aound in a circle your having a girl, if it swings back and forth then its a boy!....apparently I'm having a boy, if thats to be belived

Hope you are all doing well. I have four girls already and have never had any sickness (and haven't with this one). Most of the time their heatbeats were over 160 so that's that one out as well. In my experience I find if the dad (who determines the sex) drinks a strong lager then it's a girl, a weaker larger is a boy - DH drinks krongenburg so we've had girls! Will let you know in a couple of weeks if that's still the same with this one! lol
