Your poor little dog, it always makes me chuckle every time my Dog has gone into theatre I always tell them I cant have kids so she is my baby so they are extra cautious with her! they are always horrified but I don't care there aren't many things I would do a prison sentence for but my baby I would do 10 years!! I hope your precious fur ball has fully recovered, what remedies did you use?.. Oh and stop worrying AF will be here soon wnough, remember EVERYTHING happens for a reason! I have never been so keen to start as I as this month! xx

Ok, I have another medical crisis....POISON IVY! Anyone got any tips on how best to treat it. I got it from my DH who also has it. I called my clinic and they said that I needed to get this cleared up quickly and that steroids, if needed, were ok.

M'BA - it sounds like you and DH are going to be great parents!

cheekymonkey, I hope your back gets to feeling better soon! IVF is enough to deal with without other problems.

Jovigal---When I got poison Ivy, it got infected, so I go antibiotics to get rid of it. They also gave me a topical treatment to use. Have you seen a doctor about it ?

No, I haven't been to the doc yet but DH has, his was much worse. They put him on Predisone, Allegra and a topical treatment. I called our family doc and asked that they call me in the Predison also. I haven't heard back yet. So far, I've been popping benadryl pills and rubbing on the calymine lotion (sp?). It's SO iritating! I just want to scratch like a mad man

M'BA - how long did you have the rash?

It was a while ago since I had it, but it lasted at least a week, but once on meds, it healed quickly. Oatmeal baths really help soothe it too. Just keep the lotion on it, and NO scratching  !!!!

Hey Ladies,

I took one day off of the computer and it feels as though I have missed so much. I will never do that again! LOL

I would like to say welcome to Joanne and Dave, these forums have been a great strength for me and I hope they help you as well.

I have my Re appt in two more days!!!!!! I can hardly wait. I am hoping that I get dates of when I can start. I cant take this waiting anymore! I am sooooooooo anxious

Jovigal and Jackie you have two more days until you start a new venture with this process. I know you both must feel as though this process is finally going to start. I wish you both all of the luck in the world!

Cheeky- I hope you back gets better soon! You really don’t need that on top of everything else!

Jovigal- I feel your vibe, I agree that there will be a lot of BFP for this thread I can feel it!

Bubby101 (Kristin) Haven’t heard from you just want to see how things are going. Not to much longer until you start the meds and your RE appointment in 3 days. Wishing you luck.

I know I am forgetting some people and I apologize. Wishing everyone BFP's soon!

Erin

Hey Erin,

I was going to wait till your appt day and ask you how it went. Please let me know how it goes and good luck. Not too much going on here. Just waiting to go to my Dr appt on Thursday. My parents are coming in for out of town and my DH Larry and I are babysitting their dog. It should be fun. the dog rally acts like a child she craves so much attention and is very busy with everything. I'll let you know how my appt goes on Thursday.

Hello to everyone.

Talk to you all later,

Kristin

Hello - would love to join you

Hi everyone,

I am new here and about to start my first cycle of IVF. I am already on my BCPs, begin Luphron on 15th and all going well hope for a retrieval in early November.

I have wonderful girlfriends but, without exception, they all fell pregnant very easily and I feel a little left behind in the whole baby stakes. It would be nice to share with people going through a similar experience. I really like the positivity of this forum.

I have been trying for 4 years, had 3 unsuccessful IUI's and eaten more Clomid than I can remember! It breaks my heart to think about the stakes involved in this - and financially we only have one shot. Trying to ignore the pressure but find myself thinking of little else.

Sarah.

Welcome Sarah! I wish you the best of luck on your IVF. This is my first one also and I'll start Lupron on the 11th so we're close in our cycles. I'm so anxious to get going!

Tonia, don't they use the Predisone to help your immune system during IVF to fight againt antibiodies? :? This could possibly help my chances then... :) My RE doesn't believe in "antibiodies" so getting the meds from my family doc is a good thing then.

Mia - hope AF comes soon for you...

Thanks M'BA for the info. I might try that. I just found a few more rash spots on my body.... and I'm itching to death!

Thanks Jovigal - we are v. close in cycles. I am super anxious to get going too... but time seems to be moving so slowly, feels like I am counting the seconds.

Take care and I hope you find relief from that poison ivy soon!

hello everyone! AF did not come, just as I thought Image Thanks for your AF wishes. Keep dancing maybe she'll get her butt here soon.

Hi Sarah Image

angellica, my pup is doing great now. :) I made an herbal solution of eyebright and goldenseal, just a couple drops in water and used for a compress and to cleanse her eyes. I rubbed Arnica cream on her swollen cheeks and put Similisan Allergy eye drops in her eyes. I did all that several times a day until she was better. Also I put 1 drop each of goldenseal, arnica, eyebright, echinacea herbal extracts in her food everyday until 2 weeks after she was all cleared up. She does have a small pollup on her neck that I noticed when she was sick. I don't know if that was a bite or sting that caused her to swell. So she has to go to see the Vet again. It doesn't seem to bother her, just a little itchy.

Welcome Sarah... I am so glad you found us.. NO ONE should ever have to go this IVF route alone... IRL friends just don't get it... I have actually lost a few friends because they could not understand the greif of infertility.... (((HUGS)))

Jovi.. Yep... you are right... in fact before IVIG they used Prednisone for NKA... not sure how well it worked.. I can't believ your RE dose not believe in immune issues.. WOW.... I would never get PG with that RE... I am very lucky to have an RE that has done a lot of reasearch on the issue and many many studies... I hope your family Dr give you the script....

OH and Hey Jovi.... ONE more day!!! are you ready for the ride???? it will be FUN and the outcome will be soooooo wonderful!!!!
