Becky...im so pleased you got talk it through with the Dr...this is just my opinion ok
i completely understand what you are saying for me once my little ones are on there way to me its a little life and i dont much care for clinics who say its doesnt look good so its no good...
did you discuss taking your embies to blast?...they are your embies its your money i dont see why they wont let you do this that way you know before freezing that nature took its course and you dont have to worry about destroying your little ones...even if you do a 3dt take the remaining embies to blast then freeze i have read way to many times of fraggy looking "not good grade" embies making it so i agree with you...fight for your embies i will back you 100%
i would tell them your not asking your telling them what you want done to your remaing embies...my Dr doesnt like to wait for 5dt he says embies are better off in than out but he said if we insisted that they are ours and its our choice...

wishing you luck and some good news....love Aunty

Hi Aunty,

Im sorry, i should have also mentioned the 'Blast'

Its not done over here in Northern Ireland - no clinics here would attempt it by law. Its a religious thing they have here, same as abortions (Spit!!!) they wont do them here either - Altho i did pick them up on their web site - they have all the info about blast (which is really misleading cos it doesnt state weather or not they do this procedure!) so they are alos taking that to the board to have it either removed, or to state they dont do the procedure!

My DH also mentioned that we pay for treatment and so should have the freeze on whichever embies we want. We dont like the fact that they get to choose and make the decisions on our embies - DH says they are 'OURS' - not theirs and we (as parents lol) should decide weather or not to freeze them - it will do the DR's no harm and at no more cost .

Fingers crossed they will agree to this for us, i know our DR is fighting our case and agrees with us that its our choice, but the clinic also have a policy - u never know, we might be the ones to turn it around and change that policy which would make the choices so much easier for couples with issues like ours - wouldnt that be great lol

Becky glad that you talked things through with the DR's hopefully they will be able to talk the board round and let you freeze all the embies .My clinic did not tell us that they only frooze good ones at the end of the day we pay for them to be kept in there so why cant they just put them all in there . I do see where your coming from i always thought of my embies has my children from the time they are taken out to when they are put back .Everyone is different and you have to do whats right for you and DH at the end of the day .

Becky

You must do what is right for you & your dh. Does not matter what anyone else thinks or says.

I think that the embies are legally yours so think that you can say what you want done with them. Nobody tells them what grade they are..........

My first attept I had 7 that were good and 1 average. No excellent. We had 2 good put back. Of the 6 left, the clinic froze the 5 good plus the average for us. They did warn us that the average would probably never survive the thaw but they said that it was worth doing as they were doing the other 5 for us anyway. I felt much better giving the little 'last' one a chance as it could end up being the one at the end of the day.

Push for what you want and feel comfortable with girl. Seen lots of storied on here where super duper grade 1's don't stick and where ladies have success with embies that did not look so great in the jar!!!

We are all rooting for you.

Love

Hi ladies

Becks - I agree with Carolyn - you must do whatever you think is right in your situation. I am sorry I can't help as I only had 2 eggs so didn't have any to freeze and will have to start the whole process over again next time. I am sure we have lots to talk about with the Consultant on Monday about what we'll do differently next time.

Can I ask a Q? I had AF as soon as I stopped the Progesterone after our BFN on 15th Sept. I should be due AF this weekend but as yet don't feel as though she's on her way. Usually I have majorly sore boobs and tummy ache for about a week beforehand. I know my cycle can be messed up for a while after BFN but can anyone shed any light on what I can expect? I just want my normal AF's back so I can blimmin' well get on with this next go! :x

Cheers ladies
Hugs

Ema,

You and I got AF on the same day last month. Im waiting for her too. I should get her this Friday.

I am a little crampy and bloated. I have been pretty regular even after the BFN. Let me know.....

So this wait before I cycle in Dec is killing me!! Im only on day 10 for quitting smoking. It not that hard, time is just dragging on and on and on!!

Because AF is on her way, Im also not losing the weight I want to. It seems like this is all taking forever.

Just wanted to vent a little and let you all know if you are having a hard time you are not alone. :D

Love,
Jackie

Em

Can only tell you what happened to me. My AF came before test date. But then the next month I was like around 4 days late. Then AF has gradually come back to more like 31/32 day cycle which is normal for me. I have been having acupuncture since by 1st failed cycle and understand that can be a good way to get you regular again. Can take around 3 months for the drugs to leave your system so my consultant told me.

Hope that AF does not stay away too long for you. It is so weird wanting her to arrive so that we can all get going when for so long that we have hoped that she will do a no show!! I'll do a jog and hope that she arrives soon for you.

Take care.

Hiya Ladies,

Ems: Im the same as u, my period came day b4 our testing date (14th) so basically on a 28 day cycle, AF is due today for me. I dont feel a thing  I was in so much pain (physically and emotionally) with the last AF, but i havent a clue where this one is. Im usually a 30-32 day cycler, but by now i would have deff had the sore @@ and the usuall endo pains would start about 2 days b4 - but i have nothing!
So i cant help u out on that question either hun im afraid.
When u go back on Monday, are u going to ask loads of questions - i did, i think they thought i was a right pain n the bum - but i didnt care, i walked in with my head up high, and a notebook with 3 pages of questions haha! Some silly - some not - but i asked every one of them on my list, and felt 100% better comming out. Good Luck hun, let us know how it goes.

Kitty: 5 times a week @ the gym - jeez u must be like a lath lol (a thin person for all u non welshies) Keep up the good work, just think, ur losing all that weight, just to put it back on again - but for much more happier reasons :)

Carolyn: I think too that Ben and Raymond will be fighting it out - and also the lady in the wheelchair - i love the X-Factor, when its on u know its the run up to xmas also LOL - i love xmas. Also your message below, is EXACTLY what im talking about - that wee one, might just be the one, and i cant bear the thought of them throwing it away!
We had 2 good put back. Of the 6 left, the clinic froze the 5 good plus the average for us. They did warn us that the average would probably never survive the thaw but they said that it was worth doing as they were doing the other 5 for us anyway. I felt much better giving the little 'last' one a chance as it could end up being the one at the end of the day
So thank you for ur input on that hun :D

Jackie: Way to go girlie :D 10 days off the smelly cigarettes - its not 'only' day 10 hun - its WAYYYYYY HAYYYYYY YOU'E DONE 10 DAYS ALREADY :D :D :D Good girl - i know how hard it is, i gave up the smelly ole things 4 years ago, i went from 20/30 a day to nothing - to waking p one morning and deciding from the top of my head - i dont like this smell no more - i kept an open pkt of lambert & butler with 17 cigs in it, from the morning i gave it up (Thurs) untill the following Tuesday when i gave them to a friend of mine and said - here -smoke urself to death if u want to - i want a life - and i havent looked back since - so u go girl and be proud, every minute counts when u give up -well done :D xxxx
Oh, and another thing - im too struggling with the weight - but hey - Rome wasnt bulit in a day, and we wasnt bulit in Rome (mind u, the size of me u prob wud think i was LOL) it will come off gradually, its the long term that counts not the short :D

Aunty: Hello hunnie - how are you? I was reading all about the line up u have in the next few mths - jeez ur going to be a busy wee bee - it will be nice to be able to take ur mind off things for a wee while and consentrate on u and DH - then u will be all afresh and raring to go in Dec :D

As for me ladies, waiting on AF as u read earlier - Deep down (altho silly girls i know) ive been thinnking that maybe im one of the miracle ones that got her AF while being pregnant and thats why she hasnt shown (mental eh lol) i keep wondering how i would tell people, the look on their faces etc  - i said to DH the other day, if i hadnt have had my AF the other week, i would be feeling pregnant - i feel the sickness, sore throat (on and off - still driving me nuts) im shattered - and i went to put on the deep fat fryer on Monday - and the smell turned my stomach!!arghhhhhh - isnt it horrible knowing ur getting the right symptoms - but for all the wrong reasons - ive prob got some sort of virus thats going around - u know the ones the Dr's cant identifiy so they call it a virus lol

I started my diet food today - after eating all the bad food in the house LOL - its killing me already ......
