back AMD!!!!

Won't be long until you start!!! How many frosties do you have??? I think the FET cycle is so much easier than the fresh cycle!!! Good luck and keep us updated when you can!!!

Well...I still haven't napped yet...Is there something wrong with me..? Also, I'm not able to stand up straight without a lot of pain...Is that normal for the first day? I just worry about OHSS, and just want to make sure I know what to be watching for...Any feedback if this is normal the day of the EC would be appreciated...

Haylie...I'm so sorry I didn't mention your loss earlier, too...And not having your DH there to comfort you during this rough time has got to be a killer...If I could I would bring over a quart of Häagen-Dazs, a big fuzzy blankie, and a good comedy to pop into the DVD...You take care my Dear, and get yourself ready for the next round and for your DH to get home...That baby is waiting for its Mommy & Daddy...Afterall, they're a couple of fighters that will make awesome parents...

Maybe I can try to get some sleep now!! Maybe!?

Charity!!! Did they not give you some pain pills???? If so take them and go to bed!!! You need to let your body recover for your transfer!!!

Nope...No painkillers...Recommended Tylenol and if I was in a lot of pain to call them back...I figured it was normal and didn't want to be whiner...Is it normal?

Charity, I was sore feeling more so than painful. If you are having a lot of pain then I would call... My clinic gave me good drugs and I took 2 before bed the night of EC and the next so that I would get rest!

Do you think it could be OHSS??

Haylie - Sending you a big hug. I am so sorry for you and DH. I hope he gets home soon to give you a big hug. I am so sad for you. Thanks for all your kind words.

Thanks to everyone for their support. I'm just stunned and trying to sort through what to do next in my head. Not sure if I should switch doctors or at least get a second opinion. Any thoughts? My doctor asked me to come in with DH so we could go over my options.... she still thinks I am a good candidate for IVF and should keep trying. It just kills me to think about doing it again... so much disappointment and pain (not to mention money). Sorry to be such a downer.

I'm not sure...My abdomen is distended and tight, there's sharp pain when I stand straight up, lay flat, and if I laugh or use my abdominal muscles...I've been drinking quite a bit, but not going to the bathroom all that much...I don't think it's anything severe if it is, but I don't really know what to be looking for..? I think I'll be fine, but I guess tomorrow will tell...My DH is now yelling at me to get to bed, so I guess I better go...I'll check in tomorrow morning to let you know if it's as bad...If it's better, then no worries, if not, then I'll give the clinic a call...The RE did say my ovaries were quite enlarged, but I figured he told that to everyone...Not sure if it was meant to be specific to my case..? Again, I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings...Thanks for yelling at me though...I know you're right, and I'll go to bed now...

Oh Lori! You are not a downer!! We have all been in your shoes in some form or another!!! I know Ghost always say that if your cycle is not working they should change it up, did they vary your cycle any?? Do you not trust your re or do you think she is just in it for the $$?? If you self pay for the cycle ask about getting free samples of your fertility drugs from the drug reps...that is what my re did for me, so it is done and can be done!! This will save you at least some... I would do the follow up and ask all the questions you want and if you don't leave there with some answers then maybe you do need a new re...

I almost didn't go to my followup after my failed FET, because in my mind I had given up and was going to figure out a way to adopt. But I am glad that I went because that is when re offered the free drugs and really went over all our options and really gave me the hope to do it again...

God has a plan for you and everything will work out!!!

Charity-I was really sore and in quite a bit of pain on Sunday after my retrieval. I didn't have pain meds either but they did say I could take Tylenol or Advil for that day and the next as no eggs or embryos were in my body. I took the Advil and it did help a little. I am still sore two days later but it has definitely improved. I was ok laying propped up slightly but not ok sitting at all and standing was a little difficult too. It was like too much pressure on my ovaries and it hurt! They were definitely swollen and they hurt. I also felt a lot more bloated/swollen in my abdomen that evening than previously (still do). The 2nd day was better, today is much better but I can definitely still feel them. Still feel it if I cough, sneeze, or laugh hard. Or if I sit straight up or in a hard chair. Are you running a fever? Do you feel nauseous at all? I think those are warning signs.

I am sorry you feel this way-it is not comfortable and it sounds like you are worse off than I was so I can imagine that you are not feeling well at all! Take care, rest, and relax. Let your DH spoil you. If you aren't feeling any better tomorrow, I would definitely call your doc.

Just wanted to let you know that I did experience much of what you talk about. You had lots of follicles, your ovaries have been through a lot. I hope you feel much better tomorrow.

Charity-

I am sorry you are not feeling well. Yesterday I was very sore when I got home and very crampy (I also could not walk correctly). My Dr. said to take Tylenol only. They gave me three at the hospital and I took two more 6 hours later after I got home. Even though I still feel a little sore and crampy it is definately much better then it was yesterday. Did you check your weight? My Dr. told me that if I gained more than a few pounds overnight that is a sign of OHSS and to call them. I say if your pain is no better than you should call your Dr's office as soon as possible. Don't be afraid to call because you don't want to be a whiner. If you are in pain you need to tell them so they can help you. Try to get as much rest as possible. I am sure you are fine but just to be on the safe side I think you should call them.

Lori - you are not a downer. You have been through a horrible loss and you need to grieve. I know it is hard but try not to make any decisions now. You need time.

Brit10 - Welcome! We are happy to have you. I agree that you should try to stay away from the HPT. I think it will just drive you crazy. I know, easy for me to say I am not on my 2ww yet

Jeck - How are you feeling? Thank you for the updates.

I hope everyone else is well. I'll check back in later with mre personals but I just woke up to feed my cat (it is 5:25 a.m here in NY. . my cat waits for no man when it comes to his food) and I am going to go back to sleep now and try to get some rest.

Good Morning Ladies....

Jeck- I'm doing good, except for my allergies right now. They are killing me... and people have told me I can't take anything. However, I'm putting in a call to my doctor because I can't survive another night like this. Otherwise everything is fine on the baby front. I have my first scan Friday Oct. 20th. That's when we'll find out if it's 1 or 2 and hopefully we'll be able to hear a heartbeat.

Brit10- I don't really think there are an early signs of prenancy.... however, I did have some cramping a few days after my ET. But it's hard to tell if your on pregesterone.... that causes a lot of side effects that feel like pregnancy.
