Wannababy --- I just wanted to let you know my protocol is microflare as well. I am on BCP now, starting Lupron microdose next Thursday and the stimulations shots 2 days later - on the 21st. :D

Suzhan --- It is good to hear you are finally starting!!! Let's hope this Thanksgiving is not going to make it too dificult for you. This is much more important than any holiday in the world!

Yogi --- I am glad your transfer went well, so when are you testing? Good luck with everything!

Lola -ImageThanks for being such a good friend. Just knowing I can count on your strength and friendship means more than anything to me. You truly are an angel Lola.

Suzhan - Thanks for understanding how hopeless I feel. And I do know deep inside that I should be greatful for having a least 2 instead of none. I promise to do my best to keep my spirits up and have faith for my 2 super eggs. Thnaks again.

Rittie and Sam - Thanks soooooo much for your support!

I received a call from my RE and he said that my 2 eggs did ferterlise and are doing good. He said he wants to do the transfer tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed.

I can't thank everyone enough for listening to me cry and complain and still supporting me. Its just really hard when your facing the possibility of never having children. Thanks again to all of you!

Alicia-

I know it is hard to get bad news and everyone saying to stay positive. It is healthy to cry and mourn what you thought the results and expaecations to be. We all just know that the PMA is half of it and we all want you to just stay as positive as you can. To prepare for reality or the worse sometimes does not necessarily make it easier. It is hard even if you are prepared so you mine as well be as positive as you can. It is important to focus on the transfer and the implanting. Who knows, they both can take and you will have yourself some twins and never have to think of IVF again. This is all a reality.

I will be thinking of you tomorrow and wish you the best of luck

Alicia - fantastic news - both fertilized and that they're coming home to you very soon! There are many stories of a lower number of eggs actually being a good thing because all the quality went into those two eggs. I'm continuing to send loads of prayers and wishes your way for those embies to settle in just perfectly!

I started BCPs today - woo hoo....I'm told Lupron's probably at the end of the month. I see the acupuncturist on Saturday, but she said she's not leaving town for Thanksgiving and will do the acupuncture treatments on transfer day. I can't believe I'm starting again - I think I'm more nervous this time than I've ever been!

Good luck to us all!

Alicia, That is so great! I'm very optimistic for you. Good luck tomorrow with ET. Image I'll be sending lot's of sticky baby dust to you. Image

Congrats Suzhan! I am happy for you! See, you thought your cycle might be pushed back to Jan, but you are already ahead of me. My AF is still not here. :( My cycle has always worked like clockwork. Usually 28 to 30 days. Today is day 30. If AF is not here within 2 days I will be very dissapointed.

Today I went for my first acupuncture apointment. It was weird. It's really hard to relax and stay still with all those needles in you. Are you supposed to feel numbness and cramps while you lay there? I know it usually takes several treatments before you feel a differnce. It's not quite infertility treatment. My ins doesn't cover that. I just went in for help with stress and anxiety and some shoulder pain I've had for awhile and I also told her I was going through IVF/FET. The Dr said that my energy was low. She said the treatment would help with my energy and also help a little with infertility. I don't exactly know what it will do for me, but with only a $10 copay, it could be more than worth it. If she helps me with my stress maybe I'll pay for Infertility treatment, if this cycle doesn't work. I forgot to ask her how much acu. for infertility is. What did you ladies (Those of you who get acu, done) pay?

Mia & Lola - Thanks for the notes. I'm happy to get started again. And, yes, this is much more important than Thanksgiving. I just had to be sure everything looked to work out! So far, so good....

Mia - Re: acupuncture, I'm not really sure the difference in what you had vs. infertility acupuncture, other than to say the needle placement points are probably much different. Also, my acupuncturist is doing both herbal treatments, as well as the acupuncture. I also know that the studies that have shown the improvement in IVF outcome w/ acupuncture were all done @ time of transfer - one tx before and one tx after transfer. A good source on the 'chinese medicine' approach to infertility is a book by Randine Lewis called "The Infertility Cure". You can also check out her web page at www.thefertilesoul.com. The book's a bit technical (I knew not one thing about chinese medicine before I read it) but it does give a thorough explanation of how acupuncture and chinese medicine overall is intended to supplement IVF, as well as work on its own.

Alicia - How are you doing? Did they do the transfer today? Are you going to be on bed rest? Sending warm wishes and baby dust your way.

Yogi - How are you feeling in the 2WW? When do you test?

Wannababy - I'm so glad your RE appointment went well. Any news on when you start next?

Talk to everyone soon.....xoxoxoxo

Thanks Suzhan for the info. I actually just got that book but have not read it yet. I was reading Zita West's book and now will start on that book. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and pay my acupunturist for infertility treatment now rather than just wait and do it if I have to do another round of IVF. I was warned about the herbs though, I hear they are very expensive and taste nasty. Do you pay your acupucturist a global fee or do they charge per visit?

Malinka (Philadelphia)- Oct 12 BFNImage

I was reading today on another post that Malinka got a BFN today. That's very sad. I was watching an interesting story on MSN today I though I would share with all of you. It will definitely help especially if you got BFN in the past. Watch it on
http://video.msn.com/v/us/v.htm?g=4ff5c ... 64&fg=copy
It was so powerful I cried like a baby.

Alicia -- I was thinking of you today. I hope your ET went well today.
Mia --- do you already know exactly when you are starting?
Suzhan --- you are already on BCP, right?
Yogi --- you have only one more week to go!!!!

Girls, let me know what you think of that video. I think there is a commercial first, but then it starts. It only takes 10 minutes to watch.
Have a nice day, Lola

Hi there, I got AF today and I've left a phone message at my clinic. I'm now waiting to hear from them to find out when to get my BCP. Transfer dates for FET are 10/30 or 11/9 or 11/10. I'm hoping to do it on 10/30 because DH is off that day and the next. It could be possible since I'm doing FET. But I guess it's when ever my RE thinks it's best.

Mia - Congrat's on getting the green light for the FET! Re: acupuncture, I pay for the visit ($70) and then for the herbs (usually $20 for a 10 day supply). The herbs are in pill form, so you don't taste a thing. I need to check on when I stop taking the herbs, but probably when I start the lupron or at least by the time I start stimming, which won't be until November.....So, for now, I'm continuing with them. Sometimes, I'm seeing the acupuncturist 1x/week and then sometimes I go a couple of weeks without a visit (depending on where she thinks I am in my cycle, although since I was so erratic with this last cycle, it was a bit hard to know.) I like the relaxation effect of it. Strangely, my BP has dropped 10 points since starting acu, so I figure it must be helping my stress level.

Lola - Thanks for passing along the video - I too cried when I saw this (DH and I watched it together.) What a wonderful story and how moving. Do you start stims next week? I'm so excited for you!

Yogi - Try to stay calm (nearly impossible, I know during the 2 WW!) You have less that a week left! I'm sending you loads of baby dust for a BFP on the 19th!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Hello everyone!

Mia --- I am glad you are starting! We are all almost on the same schedule again! How great!Ghost speaks very highly of FET, so I believe this one will be positive for you! ImageMy ER should be around Oct. 30 and my ET 3-5 days after that. So hopefully by Thanksgiving I should know if it is - or +.

Alicia -- how are you doing after yout ET? Do you already know when you are testing? Hope all went well! Happy bedrest! Image

Suzhan --- That was a really nice story, ha? The nurse was so generous! It does not come up on MSN today and the link is showing some rap video now. So I guess nobody else can see it anymore...Image
Yes, I am starting stims next week! I have been on BCP for 4 weeks now. My last pill is on Sunday. Hopefully I won't get cancelled again!

Yogi --- good luck on the 19th! How exciting! I cannot wait to add another BFP to our update!Image
