No problem...I hope it helps.

There is so much to know isn't there? It amazes me the details that are involved in this whole process!!!

Oh, did your clinic recommend any kind of pain meds for the practice ET? I think they told me to take tylenol before mine (athough I forgot, and it wasn't that bad) but it's suppose to help with the cramping??? Just wondering if that was a usual thing?

Hey Ladies!!

The 2ww is really hard but I am trying to stay positive!!! Thanks for asking!!

Bubby101-- I was told to try to keep it within 2 hrs of the same time everyday. Is there any way you can go on and draw it up and put it in some ice to keep it good until you use it??? When I would have to get up really early to go to the clinic and it was way too early to do my shot I would draw it up and put the syringe in a cup with a lid and put some ice in it to keep it cool...

Kristin--The full bladder thing worried me more then anything... My first IVF I didn't have a full enought bladder so for my FET, I got up and emptied my bladder around 7:30am, ate breakfast and drank water with it and then sipped on water off and on till my transfer at 1pm. My bladder was full... Sometimes 1 bottle of water is not enough for some bladders, this will give you a chance to know what you need to do for real thing!!!

Mia--thanks for putting me on the list!! You didn't have too, I know several of you ladies and I like to pop in a check on you guys!!

jordan22--Hope all is well and I am so glad you are finally starting!!!! WooHoo!!! I hope the shots don't bruise you too bad since you are taking the baby aspirin!! I started baby aspirin on the day of the transfer and each day I can tell the PIO shots bruise a little more each day!!!

Jovigal--How is the posion ivy?? So glad to see you are starting lupron tomorrow. Good luck!! Let the games begin!!!

Hope you ladies have a great night!!

thank you to everyone who has made me so welcome, I love checking up on everyone's news and comments. I feel like a kid who has just been admitted to a secret club.

I have an appt with the RE tomorrow for a scan. Due to a DH with jobs in different countries ( and states) my healthcare has been a little fractured - my 3rd Doctor in 18mths! Argghhh. I arrived here, (with a bag full of medical notes) booked in to see a new RE and asked to get fast-tracked into IVF. He agreed but wants to do a scan to meet my uterus, check for fibroids etc etc before he gives me the final go ahead. I am nervous because I am so excited I dont want to get derailed by even a tiny problem. If it is pretty and healthy enough, I start my lupron on Monday.

Jeck - my fingers and toes are crossed for you- I think the 2ww must be the most tortuous and difficult part of the whole process because you have to just wait... Lots of positive thoughts your way.

MBA and Cheekymonkey - fingers crossed for you both

Mia thanks for adding me to the list- I am not sure what all the categories are but I am looking forward to moving through them.

Take care ladies. Speak soon

Sorry to post by venting, but i have to get it out of my head! I am surrounded by pregnant people and new moms...I think I am a magnet for them. I have three friends all with babies less than six months old, one due in October, one in November, one in February, my cousin in May, and I just got a message that another friend is 9 weeks along. To top it all off, someone at work today asked me how my baby was doing...I don't think I look pregnant. I have gotten a little chubby over the past few months, but you would think people would have gotten the memo by now that I miscarried 5 months ago!

Sorry, maybe I am being a little bit of a brat. I sometimes have to stop and think that God would not have put me on this journey if he didn't think I could handle it. I just wish his plan for me to be a mom was moving a little bit faster. I'm just a little impatient (ya think)

Okay...now that everyone thinks that I have lost my mind...I think I had better end this post before I become any more negative!

Hi jamieandduane Image Wow you and Jovigal are neighbors. That's cool. Will the 2 of you meet?

AMD, Sorry about your MC. Poor thing, it must be so hard to have so many friends with babies. Go ahead and let it all out, that's what we are here for. I have several neighbors with very young babies and I'd love to get to know them better, but it's mentally really hard to do. I pray that this is the time for us all to get BFP. Image Please God if you give us this Christmas gift this year, I'll never ask for anything else for all the Christmas' in the future.

Kristen, ditto what M'BA said. I drank about 12 to 13 oz of water and it worked fine for my transfer. Some of the other ladies waiting for their transfer drank way too much water and were begging the nurse to let them use the restroom before their transfer. Fortunately they were allowed. It will be good that you can practice. Just take note of how much you drink and if that works for your mock transfer without causing you pain, that would be perfect.

Erin, good luck tomorrow. I'll be looking out for your update! If I miss your post somehow, be sure to 'PM' me.

Sarah, good luck with your scan. I hope you get the go ahead.

Jeck, we all are praying for you to get a BFP! We think of you as an IVF sister even though you are cycling in another month. Image

Tomorrow's a big day. So much going on for many in our group! Good luck to all. I can't wait to hear about it.

Good morning ladies,
re Lupron: I was told to take it between 6 and 8 am everyday.
re test Transfer: I wasn't told to drink water or take anything for pain. My doctor injected me with water when he was doing the test transfer. I felt bloated but it was for a short period of time and I didn't have to worry how much water to drink. I don't know about the actual transfer. I guess I will have to drink water then. The procedure wasn't painfull at all. Maybe a little uncomfortable. So, don't worry!

AMD, I know how you feel. I have a couple in the neighborhood who got twins through IVF just recently. Both of them are over 40. I'm 30 and still trying....
My husband's 2 brothers both have 3 kids. One of my sisters-in-law got pregnant by accident and wasn't happy about it because she is 40 and didn't want to have more kids. Now, that the baby is born, she is happy but I remember what she was saying while being pregnant...
Plus, some of my friends keep on sending me email pics of their babies. I'm happy for them but part of me becomes very sad when I see them.
I have 2 close friends who are also trying to get pregnant and I know that I will have mixed feelings if they get preg. before me. I know I'm being selfish but i can't help it.

WOW.. You all are soooo chatty.. LOL I can not remember everything I read.. LOL

Welcome Jammieandduane... I know it is scary.. but this is my 2end IVF and it is really not that bad... just go with the flow.. (lol easy sure...)

Kristin... did you ask about the Lupron??? I think so... anyway I am to take it at the same tie every day... (between breakfast and lunch.. so I take it a t 10am... I set the alarm on my cell) If you are going to be somewhere.. take it with you... go to the bathroom and take it... I actually prefill my syrnge and take a alchol swap (the little square ones they give you in the Lupron kit) and I put them in a hard sided glasses case.. then when it is time I germ X my hands and swab my tummy and shoot.. lol I even do it at my DD's soccer games... I eaither go to the car or walk away from the crowd a bit ans turn my back. Because the needle is so small it dose not hurt at all.. (just pinch some skin) I hope this helps and takes some of the stress off....

Jeck... how are you doing???? 5 more days... phew....

Jovi.. how did your shot go??? I forget is this your first IVF???

My shot went fine.. I didn't even need to ice the sopt (I usually have to do that the first few times cause I am chicken.. lol) I also started he dreaded Dexamethasone (steriod) It is just a pill but man it makes me sooooo emotional...

RE Water and ET... I was told to have afull bladder (I guess it makes getting to the uterus easier) but I was told to drink LOTS of water after the ER (EC) to help avoid OHSS....

(((((((AMD))))))))) I feel for you so much... I have lost my best friend (I guess you can't call her that) because she did not understand that I needed time to greeve afater my last IVF failed... She is PG with her second and was all upset because I did not call her... and I never asked about her baby and how she was doing... selfish wanker.. made me so mad.. So I told her to buzz off... some friend HUH.... She knows that I have been doing this infertility thing for 8 years and all she could think about was herself.. I am so sorry you are going through this...

Erin.. Good luck tomorrow!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Jamie&Duane, it is great to have you on board for this journey and I agree that it feels like we are in some top secret club!! I can't wait to check the updates everyday, good luck in your cycle!!

Sarah V - Hope your scan goes well tomorrow!!

Jovigal & Tonia - bet you are both glad to finally be on your way! good luck to you both!!

Erin - I hope that your appointment went well and I hope you got a start date!!

Mia - I deffinatley agree with your prayer! I would never ask for anything else if I could just be a mum! Maybe if we all pray hard enough it might come true for us all!

Amy - I understand completley why you feel that way, since we have been TTC my brother, my sister-in-law, 6 of my cousins and 2 of my friends have had babies, and we were the ones who have been trying the longest, just doesn't seem fair!
I love my nieces and nephews lots but I kind of feel that I cannot be the auntie I wanted because I find it very difficult!!
Also my sister-in-law had a baby that she didn't really want and now she keeps on letting all different people look after her baby because she wants to go out and party!!! It makes me so mad!!
I had better stop now cause now I look like a mad woman!! LOL
I hope that you feel better soon and just remember we are all here and I am wishing you a BFP this time!

KF'06 - You are not being selfish, this is a very difficult thing that we are all going through and the feelings that we get I think we all get at one point or another and I think we are intitled to them!
I think it is only natural to have those feelings when we see someone else have something that we so desperatley want, we just have to remember that it will one day be us showing pictures of our babies!! and that should be soon because we are going to have a record number of BFP's from the Nov Girls!! Try and keep positive!!

To everyone else who I have not mentioned hope you are all doing well and keeping up the PMA for all our November BFP'S!!!

Take Care

jordan22 doesn't the Lupron have to be refrigerated. Or is it just the vial that has to be refrigerated. This is where I am confused. I guess I can make the shot before I leave my home but I'm confused about what needs to stay cool.
