Hi Everyone,

I heard from my Dr's office and out of the 16 they got yesterday 9 ferterlized. I am very excited. I hope they all make it through to tomorrow. They said they did 1/2 ICSI and 1/2 normal. They did not tell me which ones fertilized but I guess that at least one or two had to be the normal way. It looks like my transfer is going to be Friday.

Charity - How are you feeling today? Did you speak to your Dr?

Thook - I am sorry your allergies are bothering you. Ihope you feel better soon. I bet you can't wait for your scan. I can't wait to hear how it goes! I am very excited for you.

Malinka & Gina - Good luck tomorrow. I will be praying for a BFP for both of you.

Jen1d & Nictor - How is your down regging going? Do you know when you start your stims?

Take care everyone!

xoxo

Well...Looks like I'm not meant to be a mother....None of the eggs fertilized. They said that 12 of the 15 were mature, the sperm looked fine, but for some reason the chromosomes did not bind. Thank you all for your support, and I wish everyone the best of luck in your adventures to motherhood. Take care, and baby dust to you all...

Charity, please don't give up! It happens, we all have different stories to tell. I had nothing to be frozen for example.

One of my friends had a natural pregnancy for 4 months just to be interupted because her baby had a down's syndrome... However it doesn't mean she is not going to try again. I will try again if it won't work tomorrow. WE are fighters, remember?

Charity - I am so very sorry! I started to cry when I read your post. I can imagine how devistated you must be. Don't ever give up hope of every being a mother. I know it is hard now but have faith that it will happen. My favorite saying is "faith precedes the miracle" and I firmly believe that. I say that to myself whenever things look their bleakest to remind me to never give up on my dreams. I will say a prayer for you and your DH. If there is anything we can do please let us know.

All my best.

Oh Charity, I am so sorry!
That is such awful news...I don't think I have ever heard of that many not fertilizing. Man, I would be questioning that dr. if it were me. But I know that won't help now.
Do the doctors think this would happen everytime or just a fluke thing?
Man it's just me and I have so many questions - I can only imagine what you are going thru!
Please don't give up...now they might be able to create a new protocol that will work in the future. I don't know why things happen the way the do but it always turns out to be for a reason.
I am praying for you to find peace thru all of this and that you will have a strong knowing of what to do next.

HUGS,
Allison

Charity I am so sorry to hear your news! I am thinking of you and wishing you and DH some peace together. Hopefully you will have a follow up with your doc and they can provide some insight for you. I can't remember but did you do ICSI? If not, perhaps that might be a possible solution for the future. I am so so sorry. I hope you are feeling better physically today.

Nance-so glad you had good fertilization numbers! Good luck with their development over the next couple of days!

Jenn-My test date is 10/23 too! We'll be testing buddies. YAY!

Well I got back from my transfer about an hour ago and am suitably propped up on the couch for the forseeable future! I had 3 8-cell embryos transferred. I have 1 7-cell and 2 6-cells plus a 4-cell left over. They think that they will be freezing the first three. But for now, the 3 8-cells were looking good and they decided to put them all back in. I am glad to be joining the 2ww! Now I keep worrying that they have fallen out or something! Never ending waiting and worrying, I swear!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Charity - I am so sorry. You must be devistated! But just like the others said please don't give up. Try to find out the reason why and fix it. I think that is the whole reason they do the ICSI process because many couples had problems with fertilization.

My thoughts and prayers are with you!
