Hi ladies, thanks so much for the messages and the cute sign Auntie!

Just had my polyp/fibroid removed on Wed - 2nd time lucky! - they tried 6 weeks ago but cdn't get thru my cervix - apparently it is very "rigid" -(doesn't bode well for child birth does it?!)

Anyway thankfully it all went well this time - felt horrible with all the drugs and nausea for nearly 24 hours but coming right now.

Now just have to wait for everyting to heal nicely before the FET . Have a f/up appointment in 2 weeks to discuss the next steps.

Can't really add anything about AF - I am one of these very irregular ladies - have had 3 natural ones (plus a few drug induced ones) in 18 months!

So all good today - I am feeling happy and excited - finally we may be making some progress. It's great weather here in Melbourne and we have summer bbq's this w/e - bring it on! Hope not too cold in the Northern Hemissphere!

Hi Rachel
I live in Pontypool so not far from you at all and also had my tmt in caru. We have had 2 tmt's now and are thinking if the fet doesn't work we may well change clinics. I know the success rate is not that high at caru but we have just had our 1 go on the nhs with ivf but luckily we had some frosties which means they will still do that on the nhs so after that we must pay for the tmt. Do you know of any other clinics that do ivf? I know there is a BUPA hospital also in Cardiff that do it but am not sure of the success rates and Swansea hospital. There is also a clinic in Bristol which is supposed to be good. Who knows what to do eh? Hopefully the fet will work and I won't have to decide about future tmt's although the success rate for fet is even lower than ivf!!

I haven't gone to work today cos my af is so bad!! but at least it is the weekend

Have a good one

So sorry to see that it was a BFN for you. It is so hard at the start but the pain does get a little easier as the days pass. It is good that you are making plans already. The limbo is a killer.

You have come to the right place - ladies here are fab

Sending you hugs.

Angie

Glad that op is behind you but sorry that you are feeling under the weather. Hopefully it will pass and you can enjoy your weekend in the sun. So jealous. Although better/warmer in London that you would expect for mid-October.

The good news is that the op is done and you can now focus on recovery.

Take care.

Congrats to Auntie and Becky for the weight loss!!

Jackie - you are doing so well day 12 that's fab and to loose weight as well you must have some willpower!!

Am feeling a bit better today and trying to look to the future. I have lots to look forward to in the next month or so. I'm going to Florida in 3 weeks for a fortnight for my cousins wedding and I'm a bridesmaid. Although I just tried my dress on and I can't do it up so time for some drastic dieting at least I have 3 weeks! it is also my birthday on bonfire night and my DH and DS will be clebrating their 30th birthday when I get back from Florida so have lots to organise.

I'm enjoying a glass of wine, Dh has gone out to a party, I didn't feel like socialising so I've stayed in.

Enjoy your weekend

Rachel - I forgot to ask what your experiences of caru have been like? We were 1 st referred there in Sept 05 and I have found the staff really lovely although when I phoned the other day to say it was a bfn they said they would send me out a followup appointment, well I phoned the following day tosay I was going away and she said I wasn't on the list cos the nurse should've put me through to organise an appt so luckily I had phoned otherwise I would not have received one. When did you have your ivf? I see you are also doing fet have you had this before? I haven't so not sure what to expect? I have a followup appt in Nov and am hoping to do the fet in dec or jan do you think this is realistic or do you think I will have to wait longer? Sorry for all the ?'s you'll regret asking me where i had my tmt!!! It would just be interesting to know your experiences it's nice to know someone else who is going there, I'm glad I've found you.

Morning Ladies,

Haylie: Wow - u have so much to look foward to in the next few weeks - happy birthday for bonfire night, just think on the day that u were born, everyone was celebrating you by having fireworks - awwww :D And a bridesmaid in Florida - wow - that sounds like great fun, mind u, i wouldnt fly - i would have to leave now by boat, to get there for 3 weeks time LOL. I hate flying, i am one of those people who detest it. Have u seen that episode of the simpsons where madge is too afraid to fly, and hommer coaxes her on the plane then all u can see is her hair running up and down the aisles and her shouting - i want to get off i want to get off - well trust me, that would be me - minus the hair LOL. I hope u have a fantastic time, u really deserve it hun. I went home to wales after my BFN, and i know that our Ems went to Cornwall for a week - its such a relief to get away and forget for a wee while (altho i dont think we forget fully) but let ur hair down and have a great time - u deserve it :D

Jackie: Day 12 eh? GOOD GIRL and when u do get to day 16354 - u will be wondering what all the fuss was about lol. I know how hard it can be, but u know we are here 'egging' u on, we are so proud of you - keep it up young lady, you can already say that u are a non smoker (Sounds so much nicer doesnt it) :D xx

Ems: have a great time on the wine tonight :D You deserve a good night out, i will be thinking of u.Im trying to keep off the alcohol at the moment, only cos im on a diet - otherwise id be there with u, well on the wine anyway lol. Have a good un, and i hope ur not too hungover on Sunday lol Xxx.

Angie65 - Hiya :D Hows ur PMA today (Sat morning) hope u still have plenty of it, its a good thing u have lots to go around - nice to meet u, keep up that PMA - have a great weekend :D

Rachel: I think us Welshies are taking over this thread lol, doesnt say much about Wales mind u - haha! How is sunny Wales? Hope all is well with you - how is the diet going? I weigh in on Tuesday, so hopefully there will be a wee change on my ticker to report on Tuesday evening, i have been good (appart from last night - i had a chinese - but - was good, cos i only had chicken and beansprouts (no fat) but also a portion of chips) i felt i deserved it cos i have been good all week - time will tell on the scales on Tuesday

Nimble: Helloooooooo hunnie - hows life like on the other side of the fence lol, i hope all is swell (haha!) Its great to hear from u, i do love it when u come back in and check on us, it gives us summit to look fwd to :D

Aunty: Hello, hows u hunnie? Hows the diet going - congratulations on the weight loss, i hope i lose on Tuesday, but im feeling very bloated at the moment, i cant get nothing to fit and have to go shopping later to buy some joggers to keep me going. I know AF is due any day now, thats why im bloated, but usually im only bloted for a day or two - this has been going on now for about a week - i hate this horrible feeling, i wish she would hurry up then at least i can get back into some nice clothes lol.

Well ladies, im signing off now, have to go and do some grocery shopping as well as joggers shopping lol, will catch u all later ...

Becky Xxxx

If y'all don't mind, I like to join your group. For a little while I thought I'd be in the September Dreams/May Babbies group but I've m/c'd again.

I am in that limbo right now. I know from the blood work that I've m/c'd but I am still waiting for the progesterone to wear off and for it to physcially happen. I could really use some PMA, and this seems like a great place to get some!

I was smart this time and called to make my review appointment right after my transfer, just in case. So we go see the doctor in 2 weeks, on 10/30.

After two rounds of IVF/ICSI and two m/c's, we've decided to try donor sperm IUI. IVF is just too expensive to do again. My fear is that even with DIUI, I will keep getting pregnant and miscarrying again and again, but we are going to try.

I had a bunch of tests done this summer to test for clotting disorders, antiphospholipids and other conditions that cause recurrent m/c's and everything came back normal. So I am not sure why this keeps happening.

I've never done IUI, as DH's sperm count was too poor for us to try it. So I am anxious to hear from the doctor how it works and when we can start. It's something positive to focus on.

Hi Ladies

Just dropping in to wish everyone a nice weekend.   Sounds like everyone is making pretty good progress on the dieting - especially Aunty. I have not been very good this week and AF is due on Monday so feel pretty bloated (like you Becky). All clothes feeling a bit tight so must get my arse in gear and start making more of an effort to diet.

Jackie - you are doing so well on the no smoking. Just think that it is giving you a better chance of that bump. Sure that it is real rough but will be worth it. I hate the waiting too. It is so boring. I just want to get on with it all.

Aunty - 5lbs already. That is great. Guess your magic - 6 days good, 1 day bad is really working

Haylie - You have lots to look forward to over the coming months. A bridesmaid in Florida - how lovely. However, totally understand about the not wanting to socialise right now. During tmt and just afterwards, I prefered to stay in and just chill out. Plus come on here of course!!!

Angie - Glad that you are full of PMA post-op that is terrific

Ems - Hope that the wine was fun with dh and you don't have to much of a hangover today

Well got up early as dh went to play golf and woke me up. Meant that I beat the crowds at Sainsburys and was home by 8.30am! Having carpet fitted in our bedroom but they have just announced that it will not reach through the bathroom which is what we wanted. Bugger! Never mind, we will have to get some tiles for there instead.......dh will have a fit about my measuring up when he gets home!!!

Oh well at least I have X Factor to look forward to this evening. Sure one of the groups will get voted off. Plus I have Strictly Come Dancing Too. Dh already understands that there will be no going out on a Saturday evening now. Great excuse to stay in and just watch TV together

Have lovely weekends all.
Love Carolyn xxx
