Spring Babies

Hi Ladies, I hope some of you will join me on this thread from the 'new 1st trimester' thread. I just felt that I had got to know you and then I should be transferring over to the 2nd trimester thread.

I am officially 14 weeks today and my baby is due on 9th April. I would love to share the roller coaster journey to April with those at the same stage. I really don't mean to offend anyone on the 2nd trimester thread and I hope you don't mind me setting up this one.

Are you all going to find out the sex of your baby? Dp and I have decided not to and enjoy the supprise! We are busy choosing names and getting round to telling all our friends and family the good news. We kept it all a secret until our 13 week scan.

I think I will try and start a list. Dione and Lucy, hope you don't mind I added you on already!!

Hey Miss Anna,

I have come to join you . That is cool that you aren't going to find out the sex of the baby. My hubby and I are excited to find out. I am a planner and I want to know as soon as possible. I don't care what we are having though, just glad to be having one. When I think of the baby it is a girl, but when I talk about it, I talk as if it is a boy. Strange huh?

I am due May 2nd, so I look forward to hear how things are with you one month ahead of me. Just hanging tough here until a week and a half passes by so I can break through to the 2nd trimester.

I am due may 25---although i suspect that might change when the RE send me over to OB--. We shall see. I had my US today and posted the results on the 1st trimester thread. One for sure and a mystery second sac.
I too am a bit obsessive and will be finding out the sex of the baby. I think it is great that you are not--probablly really only one of few great surprises we have in life. Bridget

Just wanted to pop in, say hello and congrats on reaching the 2nd tri!
Anna - I still get goose pimples when I think of you over this side! It's so cool!!! Fab so hear the scan went well! Great to hear you're keeping it a suprise (although I understand why people find out). Luckily we don't know either - I say lucky as we went to Birmingham yesterday and if we knew we would have spent a fortune on clothes!!!!!! Baby Dior, John Rocha, Armarni, Miss Sixty - my goodness you could spend a fortune!!!

Enjoy every minute of your pregnancies. I'm sure you've heard this a zillion times, but I just cannot believe how quickly it's gone!!!!

Hi Anna and ladies,

May I join you? My twins are officially due 30 April but I think everyone is expecting an around 36 weeks pregnancy rather than 40. So we'll proabably be very close with our delivery dates. I've been on the August IVF thread and while a lot of the girls are starting their new cycles, I haven't really found a place to hang out with girls who are moving into the 2nd trimester. So I hope you don't mind me joining

We can't wait to find out their sex as its so much pressure not knowing. We need 2 names, decide what colour to paint the nursery etc. We just get a bit overwhelmed with not knowing. As soon as I find out I'll be down the shops My next scan is on 23rd Oct.

Hey everyone....love the thread. It is so exciting for us to be moving to the second trimester.......although it was stressful at times for me....life is great and things are going wonderfully!

My DH and I are going to find out the sexes of the babies. We want to know for nursery, clothes, etc. We already started buying diapers each week. I have taken a survey at my school and Pampers Swaddlers took the lead!

I had a scan one week ago. It was the coolest thing ever! The were actually able to do the scan on my belly! This was a first for me because I had never gotten this far!

The babies were about 2 1/2 inches long and they were moving like crazy! My DH was unable to go because my appt was with a specialist out of town. My mother went instead. She was estatic!

I have great pictures and a full picture showing where both babies are sitting in my uterus! Other than being exhausted....everything is great. My next scan is Oct. 31st.

I am so happy for us all!

I will be having my next US on Oct 23--that will give the RE a better idea of what is going on with that other sac. So when does the morning sickness/all day sickness stop?? Yikes it has been along couple weeks--trying hard not to complain about it but.....

Bridget....sorry to hear about your morning sickness. Luckily, I was blessed without any. I had a couple of times that I was nauseated about 7-8 weeks. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Hi Can I join in. I am a bit behind you all and am due on May 31st. I go for my first scan on Tuesday to find out if it is one of two.


Anna - We have also decided not to find out the sex of the babie(s). I think after all the hard work of child birth you deserve a surprise at the end.

Its better now but still i feel nauseaus all day

me too really dont know when it ll stop or will it stop or not?

My scan was really v good . both babies r growing according to their dates..bless them

sarali--sounds like your scan went great. congrats again.

you are not giving me much hope if you are still sick with ms and such at 14 wks. i keep thinking each day maybe today will be the last day of feeling yuck--no such luck yet.
ps does anyone know what the "normal" times are for morning sickness to start and leave?
