testicular aspiration?

My DH and I did IVF/ICSI nearly a year ago and were successful. We want to try again. DH just had a semen analysis done and it came back with only 2 sperm in the whole sample. Yet, he said the ejaculate looked "very cloudy". I thought cloudiness meant there are sperm in there.

What are the best ways to increase the sperm count? How long should we wait before re-testing his counts to see if this test was a "fluke"? (When we did IVF last time he had about 200,000 per ml.) He had a bad infection and fever but that was 7 months ago. Any chance that could have affected his c ounts?

Last, if they need to get the sperm surgically, what are the success rates for that? Do they do the surgery on him and me on the same day as egg retrieval? How will we know if there are any sperm in there to extract?

Just a couple of obvious questions:
Does he smoke - drink lot's of caffeine/alcohol or is he a cyclist - wear tight briefs/jeans-laptop computer always on lap- go in jacuzzi/sauna's- any powder meal supplements- does he have a poor diet/over weight - work enviornment what is he around most of the day???

If all answers are no/good then I have heard of multivitamins working a little or seeing what he's lacking in like iron or calcium etc. Don't quote me on that though only "heard". Also Robitussin (spelling) is a trick that has cleared up some sperm of the fogginess. I know LOL but it's true!

I found the vitamin info on here!! Go to "message board" at top left - click on Fertlity and go to post that reads "Advice on male vitamins" I think Oct. 6th should be at the top. Talks about Zinc working too to increase sperm count. Hope this helps!!
