I'm new, needing support

Post by WhitneyBarnes »

Hey everyone. I'm a 22/f and my hubby is 25..I have PCOS and we are about to begin clomid. The bad thing is...my husband is a captain offshore, and he is away from home for 4 weeks straight, and only home for 2 weeks. If anyone has PCOS, or has tried clomid, please let me know. I'm very anxious!! Thank you.

hi whitney

I am 27 now and I suffer from PCO's. I started infertility treatments when I was 22 like you are. When i was 19 i fell pregnant with a baby girl after 6 months of trying, i was 20 when she was born and started trying to no avail to give her a sibling. I tried clomid but it didnt work for me, after 6 rounds of that i went to a ivf and then a fet cycle both didnt work. This last april i had b/g twins from my second fresh cycle. It was the 5 longest years of my life and I think i will spend the rest of my life getting back to normal. Infertility robs you of a lot of things you have to relearn, like sex for the fun of it.

Being young and infertile is very heartbreaking, you think "if i cant get pregnant in my most fertile years what chance do i have as i get older". With PCO's it is very important to eat a low carb diet, drink lots of water and avoid suger as much as possible while you are ttc.

I am sorry your husband is away so much it is going to be very stressful and you are going to worry so much about missing your ttc windows.

just take a deep breath.

best of luck to you
Jay
