Hi ladies,

I am new here. This is my first IVF cycle. I had my retrieval on 10 Oct, and did a 3-day transfer yesterday (13 Oct). Beta test will be on 24 Oct. Really hoping that everything will work out fine.

I had 15 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 12 fertilized, but only 3 are in OK quality. So, the doc did a transfer of all 3 plus another 1. Not sure why quality isn't that good. The clinic will provide me with an update tomorrow to confirm the quality of the remaining. But they have told me the chance of getting any good quality from this batch for freezing is extremely low, it really upset me a lot.

I am mild OHSS, so feeling really bloated and tired. Resting at home for the whole day today.

It's really nice to have someone on the cycle around the same time.

Hey everyone,
Welcome Ophee! I hope all is going well in your cycle.
I was in for a scan today and they counted 13 mature follicles and six that they expect to mature by tomarrow. Whether we have more than the 19 is unsure. I have to do the trigger shot tonight and the EC is scheduled for Monday morning. So tomarrow I will enjoy an entire day with NO SHOTS!! yeah!! I will let you know how the EC goes on Monday!! Jeck & Ampmed1 - Good luck tomorrow!

I was so very bad!!!!!!!! I did an HPT today. You all are so right! I am afraid to get excited because the line was very faint, but it showed the line with 3 minutes. It is definitely pink and now I am wondering if it was real. I am probably going to test again tomorrow, but maybe not. I am in shock. After everything we have been through in this cycle, I am afraid to get excited. I do not have my bw until Wednesday, but now I wish it was still for Monday. We only have a very small chance of this working according to Ghost, so I am trying not to get excited.

I hope everyone else is behaving unlike me. I was very weak and now I am on edge. Like everyone else, I am praying and hoping that Wednesday will bring good news.

Gina S - You are so sweet. I am getting excited, but I am still worried that it will turn out to be false, so I am going to wait until Tuesday to do another test. By then, I should know for sure and then on Wednesday I have the BW. I have had a really tough 2ww, but thanks to a little encouragement from Zirly, I started feeling better on Monday and have worked hard to keep it that way. I feel kind of bad, because when my mother called last weekend to ask how my transfer went, I told her that none of the eggs made it because I was not up for daily phone calls from someone who does not support my decision. If I wind up pregnant, I will have to tell her the truth, but for right now, I feel triumphant in knowing I have made it this far and I might be in for a long ride!

Hi,
This is my first post. Hopefully somebody will know.

I stopped taking bcp (Oct. 7), and have continued Lupron injections (started Oct. 2). I have an appt. tomorrow, and was to start stims, however I have not yet started af, and they had told me I would at last appt. Will I still start stims or will I need to wait for af?

Welcome, I am glad you found us. I don't have an answer to your question, but I am sure someone will. I know when I had my baseline scan I had not started my period yet and they were not concerned about it, that was on a Tuesday and my clinic always starts everyone on stims on a saturday and they didn't make sure I got my period before I started them on that follow Saturday...

jsm7502-Hello and welcome! I don't have a technical answer to your question but can tell you that I started stims and my period on the same day. I had AF for the first several days of stims but my lining was fine and I think they expected that so it probably won't be a problem. I too thought I would start AF sooner than I did after BCP but it took almost a week to arrive! Good luck to you, I'm sure it will be fine.

Jeck - thinking about you this morning....! Lots of baby dust to you!!

I posted a separate message with questions for Ghost....who thinks I might have secondary OHSS. My transfer was 7 days ago, but just yesterday I started swelling up. I literally gained 5lbs of fluid overnight and am in a lot of pain. I called the ART nurse and will go in and see the doctor today. I really do feel pretty terrible!
