Crikey a lot has happened whilst I've been on bed rest!!

Racheal - I can't believe you got a line with your one super embie. Hang on in there!!!
Cowgirlclass - great numbers!

I had ET on Friday. As you know I was a little disappointed with only 4 embies out of 14 eggs, but we did ok in the end. Two of the embies devleoped to 4 cells on day 2 (my clinic always does day 2 transfers as they believe better out than in ). I had one embie that was average in terms of fragmentation and one that was above average. The doc was pleased with the quality. So we felt extremely lucky. The other two hadn't developed enough and weren't even good enough for the freezer, so we were very, very, VERY lucky.

I figure I've as much chance as anyone. Testing 27th Oct......

Ahh, the two week wait!!!!

P.s. my doc told me a nice story about how he doesn't necessarily think the amount of fragmentation makes a difference, it's more about the number of cells.... he said he was treating a young woman who he only wanted to transfer one embie too as he thought there was a very high chance of success. She argued (and quite rightly!) that she wanted two put back in, so they compromised and he put back in one stunner of an embie and one not very good embie with lots of fragmentation.... lo and behold she got twins...... the moral of the story, you just never can tell!!!

I am so happy with all the welcome ... I am so lucky to found this board with all these wonderful people. All the discussion and support really help to ease off some tensions.

It's very nice to know so many of you on 2ww with me.

Jeck, ampmed1, good luck for your testing today ... wishing BFP for you!! Waiting to hear the good news from you.

Jeck, your update is so wonderful, it's so nice of you to put this together ... it's a big picture for everyone.

Becp, you are right, the grading of the embies don't necessary is the result. My doc told me a similar story today with one of his patient having just 1 embie (not good quality) transferred, turned out positive, and had a baby girl. The nurse me also told me another patient with the transfer of 3 embies with grade 3 and turned out triplet ... wow! I was in the same disappointment as you when I had 14 mature eggs, 12 fertilized, and only 3 embies with just OK quality. Well! We never know!! :)

I am feeling much better today, may be I have gotten used to this bloated tummy. My little girl said to me today that I looked like I have a baby in the tummy ... I wish!! It really looks big, it's almost the size when I was 6 months pregnant with her.

Good luck everyone!

Cheers ... Ophelia

Happy Monday everyone!

Glad to hear everyone had a great weekend with their cycles and we have some new ladies! Welcome!!

Well my transfer Saturday went absolutely perfect!! I got up early that morning and prayed and really believe God answered them even better than I imagined! We got there and met with the Dr. and we had 7 excellent quality embies! They showed us the 2 they picked to transfer, and you could see what part of the embie was going to become the baby and what was going to be the placenta. It was so amazing...they looked so good. The whole procedure was so relaxed and went so well I was blown away really. There are 3 drs. in that office and I got the woman this time which I really like. She came in and said, "You have such beautiful embryos!" That made me feel so good! I didn't even feel the catheter go in and the new camera they had you could see everything so perfectly. And then there they were - two little shining dots! We got to print a picture of them and take it home! Very cool!

I had no pain - was really amazed by how smooth everything went! And I just chilled out all weekend - Mom brought over food and everyone was looking at all the pictures they gave us!

They called yesterday and said they were able to freeze 10 embies - all good and excellent quality. This is just so much better than what we had the 1st time. So to all the ladies who didn't have as good of quality this time around - every cycle is different so don't give up!

So glad to be on the dreaded 2ww! It's hard cuz you don't feel any different but you want to be positive and think like you are pregnant! Course that's alot harder to do when you have already had 2 BFN's but there is always hope.....

Good Morning!!

Image

cmoscar- I'm excited about your hpt!! Are you floating away over there today? Is this rain ever going to stop? I would like to go to the store but I am afraid of what the roads look like!!

BecP and Full of Faith- glad to see your transfers went well.

Jeck- I'm dying to know!! Keeping everything crossed for you!

JenJ- I am not liking the 2ww. I don't feel any symptoms. Yesterday was a bad day. I was convinced I'm not pg. I want to POAS so bad!! I only have one HPT though so I have to plan carefully when I use it because I am NOT going to buy more. I refuse to torture myself!! How's it going for you today??

I went for my appt. today, and found out that I have a cyst. So I am going to have to stay on Lupron another week, apparently the cyst means that I was not sufficiently suppressed. Hopefully another week will do the job and I will be back on track.

We'll see, I'm trying to not let it bother me.

It looks like we are in for rain all day. If you do not have to go out, don't! I drove to work this morning, but I am staying in all day due to the weather. Even being from Florida, I hate driving in the rain and most drivers are not safe enough during the rain. The streets in my area are flooded and I had to take the truck into work. In fact, I felt like I was back home in Florida. Our property there in located inside the Ocala National Forest and we had to drive down 6 miles of clay road to get home. Everytime it rained we were flooded and the mud washed out the road. I had to use my 4X4 Jeep just to get in. Our car got stuck many times and we eventually set it up for me to pick my husband up at a local garage instead of risking the towing fees. Here the road is still there, but if you are not careful you will stall a normal car or van.

Anyway, I hope you don't start the HPT's yet. I am still so very nervous. I caved in again to day and the HPT was still +ive and even a little darker. DH went to the store yesterday after our faint +ive and bought 2 different tests and he made me take one of each. He is grinning from ear to ear! We were in shock yesterday, but today I am cheery and starting to get excited. I can't wait for Wednesday to make it official.

I hope all are doing well! Jeck and Ampmed1 my prayers are with you both!

jsm7502 - Get some rest and let the Lupron do it's thing. Once you start, it will fly by and the ride is an emotional one. The cyst will pass and you will be ready! Good luck!

fulloffaith - I am so glad the transfer went well! Get lots of rest and keep up the faith. I had all but given up and now look at me. I am so happy, I have done nothing byt cry!

Ophee - The 2ww wait is awful, but it is necessary. I am praying for your BFP and I hope this month we can tip the percentages with lots of BFPs

BecP - You are right! I do appear to have a super embie! I hope yours are too. I am very excited and looking forward to Wednesday.

brit10 - I had a mild case of that and my RE told me to drink lots of regular V8 Vegetable Juice. Within a day or two I felt much better. If nothing else it gave lots of important vitamins and minerals.

Jen J - Thank you for the well wishes. You and all the girls have been wonderful! I could never have done this with out this board.

God Bless all of you!

So much going on with everyone. I can't keep up. Sounds like a lot of good vibes and nerves. We will all get through this.

I will be testing the 23rd. One week from today. Can't wait!!! We put 2 in on Saturday. There were 3 really good ones and some other embies that were struggling but you never know. I will get the call this evening to see how they are and then Monday we'll find out how the 2 little ones inside are doing.

I'm already ready to do a HPT but I know I can't wouldn't make much since now.

Be patient. It is way too soon. If you do one now the only thing you can confirm is whether or not the HCG injection they possibly gave you to mature your eggs before retrieval is out of your system. I know I am hipocrate, but it is really too soon and you will just drive yourself crazy, like I am doing. Good luck darling!

Good Morning All! Anxiously waiting for news from Jeck and Ampmed1. I'm rooting for you guys!

rparsons-Jenn and I are both testing on 10/23 also! We will be buddies-join us for the 2ww!

Jenn-I only have one HPT too and DH has forbidden me to use it! He says (rightfully so) that I won't trust whatever result I get anyway and it will just make me crazy. I know it's too early but I want to do it-see if there's any HCG left in my system or not. I'm going to try to hold out though-wait for the blood test. I alternate between thinking I have a chance and thinking that it definitely didn't work. Nothing else we have done in the past 5.5 years has worked so I guess in my heart I am prepared for this to not work either. 2ww is so hard . . . another week left! But at least we are on the final stretch . . .

cmoscar-I am so excited for you but I will wait to congratulate you until it's official! I bet you can hardly stand waiting until Wed. Is there anyway that they will let you take the blood test tomorrow?

BecP and fullof faith-so glad your transfers went well. Welcome to 2ww!

brit-sorry to hear about your OHSS. I hope you are doing ok and that they are able to make you more comfortable.

Have a great day everyone! Can't wait to see some BFPs today!!!

hello everyone! I recieved a call from my RE. She said that I tested positive but it was a low positive. She said it could be one of two things. I am either having a chemical pregnancy or because she transferred 3 morula embryos and not blast, that they implant later than normal and that we will have to test again on wednesday. I am so nervous and worried that this is a chemical. I feel in my heart that I am pregnant but what if it is chemical? my number was 9.5 and they like to see 50. She said to keep positive though. Please include me in your prayers. I really need them right now!!!!!!!!!

congrats jeck! that is an awesome number!!!!!!!!!!!
brit let me know how things go.

JECK - congratulations!!!!!
That is fantastic

Anna - really hope those number of yours sky rocket very very soon.

My clinic has given me a test to do at home on 27 Oct! They say they normally don't do blood tests. I find this very odd as I know how misleading HPTs can be. I think it's a decent test, but still... I worry I'll get a negative, stop the progesterone injections and I was pregnant after all. I got a positive last time, but my numbers were low so it only just showed up on an HPT.

I've decided, especially after reading all of your comments, I'm going to go in and see them tomorrow and ask for a blood test. If I'm paying, I don't think they can say no!!!

Take care all and as my doc said 'think sticky thoughts!'

CONGRATULATIONS JECK! Oh my gosh I am so excited for you and your DH! Best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy! Do you know yet when your first scan will be?

Ampmed1-I am crossing my fingers for you that your HCG numbers rise quickly and you have a stronger positive on Wed! Hang in there, I can imagine how hard this is to wait. I'm thinking about you.
