Jackie - Shall we swop places for one day as it would be wonderful not to feel sick just for a few hours and to be able to eat a normal meal. Dh keeps saying that at least I know I am still pregnant because of still feeling so bad. I miscarried about 10 years ago and that time I didn't feel anything, in fact I didn't realise I was pregnant until 6 weeks and miscarried at 7. I am also having to run to the toilet alot during the night. Have you got that yet? I was reading on another thread where someone was still feeling sick at 14 weeks. I really really hope that it doesn't last that long.

Good luck for your scan on Thursday. I think that it is the week for scans this week as both nimble and I have got our first scans on Tuesday. Mine is at 8am which DH is not impressed about.

I hope that you all have a good weekend.
Angela

Hi there,

angela you poor thing, I think you must have sickness for both me and jackie! I have had nothing yet although starting to feel nausea at certain times however saying that it feels like I'm hungry but it can't be as it is usually a couple of hours after eating!! Also went into a butchers yesterday and the smell of the meat really turned my stomach, that might not be such a good sympton otherwise we will have to turn veggies !! :D

Jackie - give it a few more weeks and no doubt you will be feeling very pregnant especially in your 2nd tri!! I can't believe how much my bb's have grown, went to the gym for the first time today and just about got my sports bra on  Good luck with your scan on thurs, i think because of everything we have been through I think we will be nervous through out the whole 9mnths!!

love to all

Jackie, hun - there's nothing wrong with you or baby, you are one of the lucky ones to be having such a wonderful pregnancy...I'm sure Angela would swop places like a shot!!

I'm not having any sickness either if that makes you feel better, just a touch of nausea now again but other that and tight fitting trousers, no signes, nothing, nadder....!

2 more days til your scan and you will see that everything is fine and your little nugget is sleeping away and being good for its mommy and not causing her to be ill each day!

angela how are you feeling, I'm a bag of nerves - I've had aches and AF type pains all day, think its the stress of tomorrow.

Ang sweetie, where are you...missing you - are you ok??

Oh jeck - it is so wonderful to see you on this thread, really pleased for you.

Hello Ladies

Hope you are all well.

Angela I'm sorry you're suffering so much. I wouldn't be surprised to see two little heartbeats when you go for your scan!

Jackie please don't worry about lack of sickness, you've been lucky. This is my 7th pregnancy (I have 4 girls already) and I have never once been sick or had nausea so please please please do not worry about that.

I have had cramps and aches and pains since EC and to be honest I still have only now they are different, it's just the uterus expanding to make room for those growing baby/ies of ours. In fact I was in hospital last night with abdo pain but everything is ok. The top of my uterus was higher than it should be at this stage so probably another large baby on the way for me!

Good luck with all those scans this week.

Jeck I've said it already but well done you.

We all need to have our pma still as stress is bad for babies, and us! If we get anxious about things (which we all do) we have to push it to the back of our minds and just think positive.

I've been so lucky I've felt this little one move since 10 weeks, started as little bubbles then it felt like it was tickling me, now it's doing somersaults. In a few months time you are all going to be telling the rest of us about your movements, and I can't wait to hear it!

I'm still weeing every 20 minutes regardless of the time of day so I'm pretty grumpy though lack of sleep. It is supposed to get better in the second trimester but I'm on steriods (and diabetic) and one of the side effects is increased urination - as if I need increased when pregnant!

I went to Mothercare today to pick up my "mum-to-be" pack but they'd run out  will try another one tomorrow.

I hope you are all good and can't wait to hear about all those scans this week.

Take care

Jo

Hi everyone.

Sorry about being MIA for a few days. Have had a really stressfull time. It all started last Friday when I had my 3rd Beta and it hadn't risen as much as they had hoped and I'd dropped off the 50th percentile curve, so they told me not to worry.....yeah right!!! and to come back on Tuesday for another beta and hopefully it will have risen.

In the mean time went away for the weekend to a wedding, which was great. But, on Monday(yesterday) I woke up to no preggy symptoms at all sore boobs had gone no nausea (not that I had much anyway). So i worked myself up into a right state and got sent home from work. DH was great he phoned the clinic and they rushed me in for another beta....and it was good. Had gone up from 3203 to 6627 in 3days. So another BT on friday with possible scan on 26th Oct. Preggy symptoms came back last night...so very happy about that.

Jeck
Congratultions on you BFP.....have a happy and stress free 8mths :)

Nimble
I'm fine :) sorry to have been away for so long. how are you?

Jackoa
Not everyone gets MS....I've had none. Just the odd wave of nausea but can go days without feeling that. You are obviously one of the luck ones.

To anyone else I've missed hope you are all well..

help - I'm losing hope! My scan didn't go well this morning (well so I thought) and I have to go back next week.

They saw 2 sacs, which one appeared to have collapsed so I guess that means that both embies implanted, one obviously didn't survive very long. The other is still doing good and there is a tiny dot which is the fetus measuring 4.5mm. However they could not see any heartbeat. They said that it may be that the fetus is too small or that the worse has happened. She told me that it could go either way and to prepare that next week could be bad news for us. Because of the size, she said that if something has happened, then it has just happened in the last day or so.

I tried to find out whether 4mm is normal for 6wks or not and whether she had seen others that had gone on to be ok, but to be honest she was being vague and said that it was different for every person. Result of the scan : inconclusive!

I asked about a bt so they could see if my beta was changing but they don't do that and having scans is just as conclusive...I thought if I had my bt taken today and again Fri at least I would get an indication rather than waiting a whole painful week.

Now I'm stressing which I know isn't good, my sore bb's seem to have gone (although if I pinch them then they still hurt :) ). I couldn't even face going into work so walling at home with red blotchy eyes and face!

sorry to miserable.....

Ange - so glad to hear from you, glad everything is back to normal, good luck on Fri.

Hi Nimble,

I'm sorry your scan didn't go as well as you had hoped and there's no point in me telling you not to worry just yet as you are going to. I went for a scan at 6 weeks and was told the sac was only measuring 5 weeks, there was no heartbeat and was told to expect the worse. They didn't tell me any measurements so I can't help you with that one.

I went back the following week and before the probe even got to its destination (sorry if tmi) you could see the heart flickering away. The sac was measuring the right size and everything looked ok.

When do you have to go back next week?

I hope everything will be ok.

Take care

Jo

Hi Jo/aunty, ok, I've picked myself up and decided that for mine and my DH sake and that of our little one, I'm going to try and be positive, the alternative is going mad!! :?

Jo, thank you for your words of experience and thats what I need to hear that there is hope! My next scan is next Tuesday, a week today. This is going to be the longest week in history!!

Aunty thank you for your PM and link - I have been searching the net all afternoon to find that sort of info! My friend put it into perspective, she said that if the fetus is only 4mm, think of the size of the heart beat!
