Jo - I hope that you get your scan soon as 4 weeks is way to long for you to have to wait. It must have been lovely to feel the baby kick. I cant wait to get to that stage.

Nimble - Seasickness bands areelasticated bands that you wear on both wrists and they have little lumps that press on the accu pressure points in your wrists. They come from boots or any chemist and I think that they are working a bit.

Jackie - I bet you are asleep now. I can't wait to hear later how the scan went.

I hope that you all have a good weekend.

Hi jackie, i'm so pleased that your scan went well and the pictures are fabulous. It must so absolutely awesome for you and DH to see.

Haylie, your welcome any time hun...been keeping up to date with you on the other thread and its so nice for friends to pop in.

Jo any news on your scan being brought forward yet?

Angela - I did read somewhere that if you press on certain points it reliefs sickness, what a fantastic idea those bands are....how are you feeling today.

My next scan is Tuesday and the weekend just seems to be dragging, it is easier at work as I'm so busy that time rushes by. I not feeling so positive as the few little symptons I had seem to be subsiding, my bb's are hardly sore at all and i think that the little bit I have might be down to the pressaries. Thank fully we got an early appt so don't have to wait all day. I just want to know so I can get on what ever the result will be, at the moment I feel like I'm in limbo.

Nimble - My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am keeping everything crossed for you for Tuesday and I really hope that everything goes well for you.

As for me I am feeling OK ish. I am trying today to keep mentally telling myself that I am not feeling sick and I think it is working. Near to us we have got a midwife who has opened up an aromatherapy and reflexology clinic for pregnant and postnatal women. I went to the open day today and she is lovely. I have got to wait now for her to get the OK from my GP for me to go and see her. I know many people are against aromatherapy in pregnancy but as she is a midwife I trust her judgement.

Jackie - The scan photos are so wonderful. I can't believe how much clearer the image is than mine at 7 weeks. I am really looking forward to my next scan now.

Haylie - It was lovely of you to pop in and say hello

I hope everyone else is having a good weekend

Hi everyone , hope you are all having agood weekend.

Nimble.
Thinking of you and sending prayers your way. I'll have everything crossed for you for Tuesday.

Jackie.
Just had a look at your scan pics...they look amazing. I can't wait to have my scan...just to even see the heartbeat will be mind blowing

Angela
How's the mornign sickness? Mine has just started to kick in. But, I've found that id DH makes me a piece of toast before I get up it really helps. Its the heightend sense of smell that is gettign to me more that anything.!!!

Haylie.
Good to read you...how are you??

Auntie...
How are you??
Thanks for dropping the list over but canyou change mine.....I haven't had my scan yet to see the heart beat....:) thats on Thursday of this week.

Anyone esle I've mssed I appologise....hope you are well.

I had my last beta on Friday and it had gone from 6679.4 to 15,043.7 in 4 days. The clinic seem pretty happy with that so have booked in for my scan on Thursday to hopefully see a nice heartbeat.

My sister called last night to tell me she's pregnant...so we are due within 2 weeks of each other. It has now made me really homesick :( and I want to come home to Scotland, I just need to convince DH that he does too......which will take a lot of work as he is part of the way through a 4 year degree...

Anyways thats all from me...

aunty thanks for the list, its looking really great and I can't wait for you and the others from the other thread to join us.. :D

Ange, I didn't realise you were from scotland, thought you were a native NZ girl...how long have you been over there. it must be tough if your family is over here and your all the way over there....
Your beta numbers look fantastic...i'm still really disappointed that my clinic doesn't do them. i have thought about going to the Drs but it would take weeks for the results to come back which seems a little pointless!

angela - that clinic sounds fantastic, I don't see any problem in going there, especially if a) she is a midwife and b) that the clinic is specifically for pregnant women... go and get pampered, you so deserve it with all yr sickness! You won't have time in 7mths time!! :D :D

Looking at the list, realised that we haven't heard from Souris in a while... anyone else heard from her? Hope she is ok.

Hubby gone off to watch a big footie match with friends, private box with all the trimings so happy for him as it will take his mind off things..you forget that they need a little tlc every now again too. He has been my rock in the past week and don't know how i would cope without him.
So a bit bored, weather is disgusting so don't want to go out so may make a cake!!

Have a great afternoon

Hello

I hope you have all had a great weekend.

Angela how's the sickness? Those bands sound like they are doing the trick. That clinic sounds great. My mum did a reflexology course and gave me a few foot massages when I was pregnant last time. I think there are certain areas they have to avoid during pregnancy but they are trained for that. Also with aromatherapy there are some scents you should avoid in pregnancy but she will know what. It sounds fab, I could do with some pampering myself. I'm going to my mum's tomorrow for a couple of days so I'm definately going to let her loose on my feet!

Jackie your scan picutres are great. They are so clear. It is amazing to see our little ones, makes it all so real.

Ange I know what's it's like to be away from your family, especially at this time of your life, your emotions are all over the place and it's something we want to share with the people close to us. I used to live in Portugal and found it really hard when I gave birth over there. My mum was ill at the time so couldn't come over to see me, in fact she was pregnant and had an ectopic pregnancy - 18 years after being sterlised! Is anyone coming over to see you after you have the baby? Do you have web cam? My sister lives in NZ and that's how we stay in touch.

I agree with Nimble, your numbers look fantastic.

Nimble did you bake your cake? That did sound very domesticated, I'm not good at cake making at all. I buy the Dora the Explorer mix for the girls to make some little ones but that's my lot!

I'm going to my mum's tomorrow for a couple of days so can't come on but I'm thinking of you for Tuesday. I hope you get to see that little hearbeat flickering away.

I'm feeling a bit down the past couple of days, hence the reason for not coming on. I'm so disappointed that I don't have a date for the scan. I know I will have one soon and it will be a much more detailed scan but that's not the point! With so many of us in the house I have to be organised and now I feel I can't do arrange to do anything as I just don't know when I'm going to be called down there.

My sugar levels are getting me down. They are still so high despite the amount of insulin we are pumping in. I also have ++ of ketones every evening which isn't good but it goes away by morning so that is good. Sorry for going on, just feel a little down in the dumps, will snap out of it soon.

Going to take the girls to my mum's in Hastings tomorrow. A bit of a long drive but I haven't seen her for a few months so will be nice. Will be back Tuesday evening, I can't stand being there too long! lol

Take care and I hope everyone is good.

Jo

Hello lovely ladies
I have missed soooo much.. First I need to thank Aunty for updating our list.. I am such a scatter brain and to be honest all weekend all I did was sleep.. I was a napper before but now its really hit me.. The list is really pretty and I will do my best to keep it so pretty..

Nimble we all will be thinking of you tomorrow and just keep up the PMA and keep us al posted honey..

Jo (pebbles) I am sorry you are so down you have been through so much lately.. Please know that we all rely on you so we hope you will do the same with us.. You have every right to get frustrated I wish they could get you a better more accurate scan date.. Don't be too hard on yourself..and know you can always come here to vent...

Ange
I am like you and my parents are far away.. I have no brothers or sisters but I am very close with my mom and I wish she was here with me or me with her.. That would be great if you could convince DH to move.. Your numbers sound great..

love and hugs

hi jo, i'm sorry you're feeling down, you've been absolutely great to me and hope that the visit to your mums cheers you up. Never be sorry for feeling down in the dumps, look at me in the past week! I really hope that you get a scan date soon. sending you a Image

As for the cake, nope didn't bake it - one very good reason, realised I don't own cake tins...doh!! just a small flaw to the grand plan! A friend popped round and then i surfed the net and got excited about xmas and deccies!! sad i know.

Jackie, sounds like you had a fab weekend resting and sleeping...my idea of the perfecting weekend at the mo!

have a great evening and will update you on how the scan goes tomorrow

love nimble xx
