Can I start another IVF next Month alreay?

Hi, All,

As you might have read my message, I have got another BFN (3rd IVF) on the 20th Oct Now I am waiting for my AF.

When I got the bad news, I asked what I should do next because the hospital will be closed for 3 weeks from 18th Dec to the 8. Jan 2007, and that is the time I should go again for a new IFV cycle according to my experience. Then I was told by the secretary (who is very experinced) that I could go there when I got my AF in November for the 4th IVF with the "short protocol". My 3rd IVF was also with the short protocol because my reaction to the medicine has been always very low (only 3 follicles no matter how much I injected with long or short protocol). This time they will try another short protocol but different from the one for 3rd IVF.

My question is: Is that too soon for another new IVF cycle? Because it has been alway 3 months between each IVF in the past for me, and if I go next month, then there will be only 2 months.

Do you have similiar experience? Or the secretary made a mistake asking me to go next month? What should you suggest?

I would love to start a new cycle as soon as possilbe!

im so sorry about your -ive... i have always been told by my Dr i can go again right away ..i know the drugs from IVF stay in your body for a while too and maybe with you(not having good response) it might be better to go sooner
i also wanted to say my friend was a poor responder and would only produce 2-3 follies each time even on max 450 dose of Gonal F and she has twins so even your 3 follies can work

So sorry to read your post & to see that this was not your time. I want to get on with it too and have a clinic that closes down over Xmas period. My clinic do make you wait 3 AFs before you can do either Fresh or Frozen cycle after a Fresh cycle. They told me that it was so all the drugs were out of your system and your body was ready to take it again.

I think that it varies from clinic to clinic as some of the ladies seem to go pretty much straight away again.

Good Luck for your tmt. I go in a weeks time to see whether I can cycle again pre-Xmas or whether it will be the New Year for me.
