I had ET this morning, they collected 4 eggs from me and 2 fertilised, when I got to the clinic this morning I was told both my embies ahd only reached the 2 cell stage. This is the worse cycle I've had, on my other cycles my embies have always been above 4 cell stage, which I was told was good and thats what they like to see. So now I'm thinking 2 cell isn't that good...
I would love to hear of any positive stories from anyone who's embies were transfered at the 2 cell stage...
As you can see from my signature this is my 4th go and understandably I want this to be the ONE, but I'm not feeling very positive..
Thank you
Lucy

There was a lady on here quite recently who got a BFP with just one 2 cell embryo put back. I hope she is still around so she can share her story with you. I'm sorry I don't remember her name - pregnancy brain!
Best of luck to you.

Me 35 DH 37 1st IVF ET 27 June - BFP!!!!
Ellie was born on 11 December 2006, 14 weeks early!
when I spoke to the embryoligist once, she told me that the younger they are the better. That's because they are better inside you than outside.
Providing they still look healthy, I think they have every chance.
Try not to worry, it's even more natural to have a 2 cell than a 4 cell.
I've had three FET's just about to have my fourth next week. I know how you feel. I can't believe how much harder its getting.
I wish you all the luck in the world.

Thanks Jo and Claire. Yes I saw that post from the lady who had just 1 embie put back and it was a 2 cell. That is what's keeping me going and trying to stay positive.
My embryologist did say they looked very good quality. I like the idea of them doing better when they're inside you, after all that is where they belong, not in some dish....!!!
I will keep you posted.
Thanks again
Take Care

I found you! I am the girl who had the one 2-cell embyie that took. I am 27 and have two other children (ages 10 years and 6 years). We decided we wanted another one and thought everything would go smoothly. My FSH was elevated and otherwise everything looked good. I stimmed with little reactions. I had 6 follies on my left and 2 on my right. They did EC and only got 5 eggs from the left and none from the right. 24 hours later, I was told that 3 eggs died during cleaning, two had fertilized, and only one split. They told us to rush in so they could tranfser it back in. We did and I started my 4 days of bed rest alone (my husband was camping with my sons with our Cub Scout Pack). I was so very depressed. My chances were next to nothing. On the last day of my bed rest, I had a really good cry and moved on. I was sure the embyie would not take and I was in need of moving on. I kept myself really busy and stayed away from babies! On the Saturday before my PG test, I was sick! I had trouble keeping anything down and by Sunday I did a HPT. It was positive! We beat the odds and managed to get pregnant. To top it off, my HCG numbers have been right on target! We are scheduled for an ultrasound on Nov 2. We are so excited and I do believe that anything can happen.
Good luck and please keep the faith! There is another girl with a one embie story, but hers was a 5 day transfer. Her story helped me! Her name is Zirly and she was on the Sept Hopes and Dreams thread.
I remember my clinic (I was at St James, Leeds) saying for a 2 day transfer they looked for 2 to 4 cells. I only had 2 decent embryos which were both 3 cell.
I know you have probably heard it all before, but I have read so much on this site of so many so called 'perfect' embryos not taking, but others which didnt look great resulting in pregnancies.
Wishing you all the best
Love Kim
