Thanks, Denise! We named them Brady & Tyler. They were 6.5 weeks early, but weighed 4 lbs 10 oz & 5 lbs 3 oz.
We're sleeping all over the house right now...but looking forward to going into the cribs when I can climb stairs (can't now due to c-sec).
Tyler breastfeeds 1/2 the time....and the other 1/2 he won't latch on. So each feeding ends up being different. If they both latch on, then I'm able to feed them at the same time and it takes about 45 minutes. But if Tyler doesn't, then I have to breastfeed Brady, then get Tyler a bottle, then pump...and that process takes nearly 2 hours. I'm trying to handle the feedings in the night alone so DH can sleep and go to work, but I'm not getting much sleep. Also, the babies are up in the evenings until 2AM. But then sleep during the day. It feels strange for me to have that kind of schedule...but I can't manage to change them, so I just give in and get on their schedule.
It was intersting reading how others managed the night feedings with or without DH. Also, interesting to read how others strugged with the length of time to feed both of them...and that breastfeeding is a challenge for many of you also.
Well, speaking of feedings...it's that time again. Crossing my fingers that this is a double-football-hold successful latch & feeding for both of them.
