Colleen- What a small world... we're also going to St. Alexius in Hoffman Estates. Who is your OB/GYN? Yeah that new Sherman Hospital looks like it's going to be amazing... Well we went through FCI (Hoffman Estates Office). When you were with FCI which office did you go to? I was blessed to get pregnant right away (our 1st cycle of IVF). However, we did do 5 cycles of IUI (3 w/ clomind & 2 with Follistem).

What a Small World!

hi there tasha, we were really happy with FCI in Hoffman Estates and actually got pregnant th first try IVF there also and had a son he's 5 1/2 now... we got 2 more +ives there also, one ended the other was a son also.. so we tried karande, cuz the drive down town was awefull!! Karande we got no +ives.... o i have to say FCI was better and should of just went there to spend the $ instead of wasting it at Karande... sorry personal dislike of that office and Dr's... not a good experience (so i would not recomend him).. My ob/gyn is Dr Michael (suburban womans health) I really like him a lot, and he's actually the one who was helping us this time.. we stopped IVF because of the cost so we were trying the clomid..

maybe we'll be at the hospital at the same time.... that would just be crazy!!

take care and let me know how you are doing and your appointment on the 31st, right??!!!

Colleen- Yeah I just loved everyone at the FCI clinic in Hoffman Estates.... they seemed so genuine and actually cared about what everyone was going through. I was actually sad to be dismissed from them... However I plan on stopping in for a visit here and there (since I'll have to be going to the hospital for all of my scans anyway). I'm actually going to Dr. Alan Johnson (he has a brother Jeffrey who is in the practice too). My cousin has had 2 of her children with him and so has one of my girlfriends... and there babies are just beautiful.

Yeah wouldn't that be funny if we ended up in the hospital at the same time... well that just means we'll have to keep each informed as to what's going on in each of our pregnancys. I'll also let you know how my visit goes next week... I'm hoping good.

Have a great day-
Tasha

Colleen - I am with you. I am afraid to do too much also. I always worry about everything also. I am trying my best not to but it is hard.

I hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend.

 Hey girls, I went for my second scan of the twins yesterday. We heard the heartbeats, all three of them.    Of course I almost fell off the table when she told me. There is a 1% chance that they can split and one of mine did. We are expecting triplets. Two identicals and one fraternal.
I just wanted to let you all know. Also, I found a cool website: babiesonline.com. I made a webpage and have a password for my friends and family to access it. I scanned in my first ultrasound picture and typed in a journal of everything that has happened with the IVF. Check it out it is sooo cool.

Good luck to you all!!

missy - congrats on the triplets. WOW!!! My DH would probably faint!!!

Nance - yes, it looks like we're about the same time.

I went friday for the 3rd scan and it was only 159. SO, I'm still a little worried but no spotting so I am fine for now. I am really cramping but I think it is a little to do with gas/constipation and then my uterus changing. I go back Thursday for another beta test.

I have had one baby before (through IVF) and it was really rocky in the beginning. Numbers started out low and I spotted until 16 weeks. So all in all this one is starting out a little better because there's no spotting.

Trying to be postive

Good Morning Ladies,

Rachel - I know it is hard but try to have faith. My numbers are also a little on the low side but from what I hear as long as they are going up that is a good thing. I am also cramping pretty badly. It comes and goes but it seems to be worse at night a few hours after I take the PIO shot. I do not know if that has anything to do with it. When is your cramping the worst? My stomach also feels all gassy and I am also having a problem with constipation. I am trying to eat lots of fiber and drinking lots of water. I am even drinking prune juice (Yuck) and that is helping a little bit. No spotting is a great thing and since this is very similar to your first pregnancy I would say that is a fantastic sign. My beta is Monday morning so I guess I will know more than. I will keep you in my prayers that your numbers keep going up and up. Let us know as soon as you hear something.

Missy - Wow!!! Triplets! Congratulations. You are trippily (is that even a word?) blessed. Good luck and make sure you get lots of rest and take care of yourself.

Take care everyone,
Nance

Colleen- Glad to hear that your doing well.... you must have been so excited to see the heartbeat. Do you remember what it was? Just curious....

I actually go in for my first OB/GYN appointment tomorrow night.... I 'm hoping I really like this doctor. And hopefully I can get in for my next scan by the end of this week.

Hope all you girls have a great day...

Hi ladies...I'm new here! I actually came to this message board during my two week wait...it was driving me nutz! It was really comforting to hear that other gals were feeling similar things to me. This whole journey has been mind-boggling for sure. I got my first BETA test today, and my number was really strong, I think? 482? I was so excited to hear I was pregnant that everything else was a blur....I've never heard those words before! Anyway, I hope to be a regular on this sight...I know some of you were reporting cramping, contsipation, etc. I almost feel like my period could come...but I guess it's something else going on down there! :D

Missy--congrats and good luck with the triplets! I'm so curious to hear how many I have brewing inside of me! (We transferred 3 embryos....)

Hope to get to know all of you better!

Welcome Kim... congrats on your BFP. When did you have your first beta test? How far along are you? You'll find that these girls here are so comforting and if you ever have a question please don't hesitate to ask it.

Look forward to hearing all your updates.

hi there kim, congrats on the BFP!! good to have you join us..

hi tasha- hope that your appointment went well, and you like the DR... if not, let me know my DR is great and in elgin.. Did you get a scan appointment?? The first time i saw the heartbeat it was 127, this time was 148... so doing good, and knock on wood, no evil spots!!!

nance- hope that your test went well today. and hope that you are feeling better and get to lay off the prume juice. I found the 100% fruit juice works just as well, with out the NASTY taste

take care everyone
