Hi girls,

Well we got 13 eggs. There were actually 14 in total but one was immature. The doc was pleased....I would have liked more but thems the brakes.

I had to have the protien drip after as they are concerned with hyperstim. The doc has already warned that he will not do the transfer if there's a hint of it.....does this mean that they think I will get it?

Have quite a bit of cramping but I'm trying to ignore it.....I want a fresh transfer!

Hooray for you Em!

We had a similar number of eggs, and I had an albumin drip afterwards also, and we still progressed to ET, so I will have everything crossed that it goes the same way for you!

My clinic told me to try and add a few sports drinks into the day as well. Apparently this can help too?

I have everything crossed for a BFP for you Em, wishing you every success!

Well done Em - that is a great number. Just try and relax now and drink LOADS of water. I know it will be frustrating if you don't do the transfer this month but if you are feeling really ill it's not worth it. Back in June when I was feeling crook, I really felt like I was put on the spot about the ET and often wondered if I shd have waited for the next month. After explining the pros and cons my doc said it was up to me. I went ahead but my body had been through alot and then I ended up in hospital with hyper stim for 3 days.

Anyway see how you feel, watch out for nausea, and drink loads - I don't think I drank enough. Good luck, good luck - keep us posted.

Hi guys

I called the clinic this morning and we have 11 embryos! I am very excited! Transfer is to go ahead tomorrow if I'm up to it. At the momoent I feel ok, just a little crampy. I am drinking 3 glasses of Sustagen a day and loads of water. I hope its enough.

Wishing you lots of luck with the transfer Em - how many you will you transfer? I think I might go for 2 for my FET. You have a great number and will sure to have some frosties too - but crossing everything that you won't need them! A xx

Hi guys,

ET went ok today....it only took 5 mins! I thought it would be a longer drawn out procedure. My doc was so pleased for us....all of our 11 embryos were perfect! So we have out back 2 and now we have 9 frosties!!!!! Can you believe it? Thats 9!

Afterwards, I was resting in the clinic recovery room and they offered me a brandy! Apparently its tradition at my clinic and we have the second best success rates in Australia.....so who was I to question it. They theory is that it relaxes you...certainly works.

But now I am feeling crampy and I have a bad headache which is making me feel a little nausea. Is this normal? I have already drunk 2 litres of water/gatorade and have been drinking two sustagen drinks a day. Is this OHSS?

So my test date will be 1st Nov.

Hi Em - congrats on yesterday - great result and good luck on 2ww. Can't believe they offered a brandy - what an excellent tradition!
When I was monitored for OHSS they asked for symptons of nausea, weight gain and not peeing. I just felt generally unwell and nearly passed out when I came out the shower - that's when I went to hospital for 3 days and then blew up like a balloon!

Just keep in touch with your clinic and tell them of any strange symptoms. OHSS is usually with 20 or more eggs. Good luck good luck good luck!

Congrats on a great haul and an excellent fertilisation rate!!..SO pleased that embie transfer went well, all seems like quite a minor affair compared to the other stuff doesn't it!!. A headache could mean any number of things, get in contact with your clinic if you're worried I reckon, maybe it's the side effect of the brandy????

Oops! I forgot that there is 31 days in October.

My test date is actually 31st Oct. This is 14 days post ET (as per doc) but plan to do HPT on the 29th Oct which will be 14 days post Egg pick up. What a cheaterer am I!
