M'BA- I have a few questions regarding the cysts that you had. I am getting ready for my dr appt with my new doctor to discuss my cysts and I just wanted to see if our stories are at all alike so that I can ask about the medicine that you were on.

How big were your cysts? I have two, one that is over 4 cm and the other that is about 2.
How long did you take the medicine before they cleared up on there own? Just wondering as I want to move this along as fast as I can as I am sick of the standstill that I am at

Jovigal- Did your doctor prescribe you anything?

I have been on the pill for months and that is obviously not working so I am curious of other methods.

Any info would be helpful but if my questions are to invasive I totally understand!

Everyone is moving so fast with their treatments and I am so happy for you but also a little sad that I am not moving at all. I am wishing you all the best and I am hoping to hear about some BFP's soon!

You know, I don't know the measurements of my cysts...although I know I had few in both ovaries. Sorry about that...

My RE put me on the medication the day he saw my cysts, so that means I was on it for 3 weeks total. At first he put me on it for 2 weeks, and asked that I come back for an ultrasound...when I did, I had two little cysts left, and he put me on the meds for another week, and wa la, they were gone. I know that cysts leave at thier own pace. But I know that he said the meds would help the process, as well as cool my ovaries down.

Hope this helps... I know you are frustrated, but the cysts will go away... just give them time... just think of it this way, you want your body to be in the best condition it can be!!! I know it's hard though...just stay positive, and good luck at the RE appt.

Sorry, I didn't post for a while. I had too many things going on and it wasn't easy emotionaly. First, doctor told us that the test showed that my husband had no live sperm... and we should consider doing several samples and freezing them as a back up or even donor.... Then it turned out that he was wrong. My DH did another test and talked to the lab guy who said that both tests had live sperm. I guess the doctor didn't take time to discuss the test results with the lab. And, as you remember, what the lab wrote, was kind of weird - more discriptive than #s.
It's very strange: I don't really like the doc's attitude and think it's very unprofessional but at the same time It's the second time people in the waiting room praise him, like that he is the best.....

Anyway, no cyst, bw is fine

I'M STARTING STIMS TOMORROW!!!!

I hope everybody is doing fine as I can see the stims list is growing.

Regarding the progesterone shots. The first time I did them, they prescribed it in peanut oil and had to use a 22 guage needel (the lower the number the bigger round the needle is) because the oil is so thick. The shot itself for me wasn't that bad, but I would do them at night and when I woke up the next day, I could barely walk. I would rotat sides each night, and it took about 2 days for each side to feel a little better, but then it was time for that side. It was pretty bad (not to scare you). Because of this, the next time, they prescribed it in an ethyl oil, which is alittle thinner and we could use the 25 guage needle, it wasn't nearly as bad for me at all. So, ask if you have a choice in which oil they prescribe it in. It made a huge difference for me.

I just went in for my second u/s. They are still pretty small (9-10's) but I have maybe 10-15 so far. I stim so long, it seems to take forever for them to grow, but at least they are growing. Good luck to everyone else starting or getting ready to start.

hi all hope its all going well. started first go in oct. now on daily shots, really disappointed that i had to carry on with the nasal spray too. horrid stuff. is anyone else going private, costs of drugs really shocked me.

Thanks for the info. I knew the shots were not pleasant!!! I know my RE prescribed some new oil thats suppose to be thinner...can't remember what it's called. So---that should help. I guess I will suck it up and take it...and hopefully it is all worth it

It's all out of pocket for me too!!! It's amazing what it all costs. I just paid for my meds today...OUCH!! Not as bad as last time though...whew! Spent loads already...this is our last shot. No more $$$ after this. I feel the money pains too!!!

terrifed of a cancellation. high hormones(?) going into get checked on day 6 instead of 8. what can make them cancel it?

ss, i am also going out of pocket, we are doing shared risk though, it is a lot of money but at least we know that if it does not work they reimburse us with 70% of the money. I am also terrified of anything going on that might cancel the cycle, I guess we all are.....lets hope we can all finish our cycles with BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cancellations happen, mine was a misadinistered HCG shot

Sadly, we only had enought $$$ to do 2 trys, and that was one. Cancellations can come from overstimulating... and other mishaps. It is scary. I was devastated...but you pick yourself up and move on. I am scared too, but you just have to relax and go with the flow of things. You're in my thoughts...

Welcome sugarmama!! Trust me...I went through my 1st IVF without this help...what a difference it's made this time!! These ladies are awesome!! I will never be able to thank them enough for all thier help!!! So... we are here for you and will send lots of baby dust your way!!!!
