Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I have been exhausted! The only thing I seem to be able to do is work. After work, I come home and sleep! My husband has to wake me up for dinner and then I go right back to sleep! My nausea seems to be over and I am just left with the exhaustion. I am only a week away from the u/s and I am a nervous wreck. I am worried every minute that AF is here and it is all over. In all of my other pregnancies, the bleeding issues showed up between now and 8 weeks. In fact, with my boys, I refused to believe anything until I reached the second trimester. I am trying to stay positive, and I am greatful that everytime I go to the restroom, everything is fine. I hope all of you are doing well. I am just excited about this little one since this is one we have had to fight for.

cmoscar- I was just sitting here feeling nuts because I am so worried because I haven't been sick enough or whatever. :( I have been getting sick but at odd times of the day and sometimes I wonder if I want to be sick so badly that I get sick. Strange ah? I have been very tired also, maybe not as tired as you but tired none the less. Tuesday can not get here quick enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you taking progesterone? I am under the impression rarely will you bleed requardless with that stuff, is that not true? I know I am grasping at straws but when you got sick what was it like. I guess what worries me the most is with my other two children I got really sick, but I have not been very sick this time.

Thanks for letting me freak out with you ladies, I feel like I am at my witts end. :(

I am taking progestrone, but I still worry about it. My periods have always been stubborn and would come at odd times even when I was taking BC pills. To top it off, while on BC pills, I managed to get PG two times, but I lost both of them. It is interesting how the body does whatever it wants.

As far as getting sick, it was awful  ! I rarely get nausea or upset stomach so it ruined the whole day. However, with my two previous full term pregnancies, I did not get sick at all  . In fact, I was energetic and happy. Every pregnancy is different and you need to remember, you are older now. I was 18 when Danny was born and 21 when Christian was born. Seven years may not seem like a long time, but to your body it is. Not to mention, my RE told us I am premenopausal and will likely stop ovulating within the next 5 years if not sooner. So reproductive time is almost over! It is kind of odd that we chose to have a baby now, because the RE said if we had waited another 6 mths to a year longer, we likely would have had to use donor eggs.
Good Luck Cowgirlclass, you will have your u/s before me! I have to wait until Thursday because my DH is out of town  until then!

Racheal- I hear you about being tired all the time... I'm usually passed out on the couch by 8:30pm every night. I just feel so exhausted after a day at work. I'm hoping that I can start gaining some more energy as this goes along. I haven't really been sick per say... just nauseous at weird times of the day. However, I carry crackers in my purse and have them at my desk which helps me a ton. I just can't wait to get into the 2nd trimester so all my worries will go away.

Hope you girls start to feel better abd gain more energy too....

Have a great day!

Cowgirl - I know how scary this all is. From what I hear every pregnancy is different so try not to compare this to your other two. I wish Tuesday was here already for you. Only a few more days to go. Just keep logging on whenevery you get scared we will be here for you.

Cmoscar - I am tired also. Not fall asleep at my desk tired, but I have been going to bed at night directly after dinner.

As for me, I'm not feeling great. Not horrible at all but I feel very gassy and bloated (sorry if this is TMI) and am having some dull cramping off and on. I do not think I have OHSS because my weight has been fine and I only had 16 eggs and I know OHSS is more common with those who produce many eggs. Does anyone else feel like this? I can't tell if it is my stomach that hurts or my girl parts that hurt. Generally I have an awful stomach and I have been trying to eat very health, lots of fruit and veggies and extra fiber so maybe that is causing my belly to hurt. I'm just a little worried. I do not want to be a hypocondriac and call my RE every time I feel a little twinge of something, especially since it is not that bad, but I was just curious if anyone else had any of these symptoms.

Take care everyone,

All my best,
Nance

Nance-YES, I feel just like that! Cramping on and off, sometimes just generally achy (both my lower tummy and back) and gassy. Like you said, not sure if it's my stomach or uterus, but it's definitely down lower. My clinic and acupunturist both said that I shouldn't worry about it too much. Acupuncturist said that almost immediately the muscles in the abdomen start to relax and the uterus starts to expand due to various hormone reactions that happen in the body. She said it's very common. I worry because, though early, I haven't experienced nausea or breast tenderness yet. I just have this gassy and bloated feeling (can't hardly fit into any of my pants that don't have stretchy waistbands!).

I'm so jealous of all of you that have new HCG numbers! I won't have any more until Monday-a whole week after the first! I am so worried that they are not increasing!!

Racheal-I too check for AF constantly!! Sometimes I feel crampy and I am sure it's all over! So far it hasn't though! Just wanted you to know that I too am checking for AF everytime I go to the ladies room!

Good luck to all of you guys! The waiting is tough! I can't wait to see more scan results!

Have a great weekend!

JenJ - Thank You! You made me feel so much better. While I am sorry you are feeling a little lousey also, I am so happy that someone else feels the same way I do. I also do not have any nausea yet. I have an appointment with my RE on Monday for another BETA when I go I'll tell them how I feel just to make sure. Good Luck on Monday I'll keep you in my prayers that your numbers skyrocket. When is your first scan do you know yet?

I have what probably is a very silly question for anyone who had their scan already. What kind of scan is it? Is it a transvaginal sonogram or just one of the sonograms they do from ontop of your belly (I don't know what those are called)? I'm just curious.

Thank you.

Nance,

The only way to detect a pregnancy this early is with the transvaginal u/s. The other form of u/s is called a dopler u/s. I believe that the dopler is only used after about 12 weeks of pregnancy. By then the baby is big enough to see without large amounts of magnification.

Good Luck on your next beta!

Thank you Rachael for the information. I was not sure if it was safe to do a transvaginal u/s if you were pregnant. But I guess if that is what they do then it must be safe. Thank you again.

Nance,

If you think about it, if we had not gotten pregnant through IVF, most of us would not know we were pregnant and would still be having regular (oh no, don't say it) sex. I know that with my previous full term pregnancies, I was able to have regular sex throughout (except for when I was on bedrest). There are women who have sex on the day the deliver even 8) . Our bodies are made to protect the fetus/embryo from the outside world, including minor invasions.

Hey Ladies!

First off I wanted to thank all of you for your wonderful support, I couldn't have made it thru this cycle without you all...

I started spotting on Tuesday and I so happened to be going to the clinic for blood work that day so while I was there they did a scan and saw the sac in the uterus but my hcg had not increased like it should, so they told me to come back today for another scan and beta. I continued to spot off and on and had bleeding yesterday afternoon. When they did the scan today, they could no longer find the sac, so as I suspected I miscarried yesterday... I am a little sad but I am more so frustrated then anything... My doc was out of town so I have a follow up with her on the 13th...

We have not made any decisions as of yet... I know that we have 8 frozen but I am getting emotionally drained from all this... and really ready to move on with my life... We might consider doing the FET cycles if we find the money but we will most likely start the adoption process also... Will not make any major decisions until after the holidays because my clinic shuts down anyway...

Thanks again for everything and I truely wish you all the best.... All of you that have gotten your BFP's I wish you a happy, stress free pregnancy and those of you the did not, I wish you the best in what ever path you decide to take next... I know there is a special plan for each of us and sometimes we have detours and get off track but it will all work out in the end... I have come to the realization that life is like a never ending train ride and sometimes we fall off and sometimes we even get run over but the train of life is going to keep going wither we are on it or not and our part is to jump back on and make to most of it and enjoy what we do have...

Lots of love and prayers
Jessica

Hi guys,

I'm jumping the gun a bit as I haven't had my offical blood test yet, but I have had 3 BFP HPT's and AF is due tomorrow. What can I say, I'm excited.

I will cheat with the scan part too as I am a radiographer and although I don't scan regualr patients, I am trained in using the ultrasound machines. I will get some-one to have a peek on tuesday (after I've had the blood test) and see what we can see on a trans-abdominal scan. It'll probably be to early to see much detail but at least we should be able to see how may sacs. Trans-vaginally is a bit to invasive amonst colleagues so I will have to wait like you guys for an offical dating scan.

I wish you all a wonderful 8 months and look forward to following your feelings as we go.
