New to IVF and Site - Retrieval Oct. 30 or 31st

Post by pcosgirl »

Hey ladies,
I am around the same time range as a couple of you maybe a bit on the early side, but I wish you all the best. I go in next Monday or Tuesday for the retrieval, which is good because my ovaries ache!!

Can I join?? This seems to be the place to rid yourself of cysts...I hope you all bring me some luck. I was cancelled in October (IVF) and moved to November. I start Lupron on 11/8 and hopefully stimming on 11/20. I have been on BCP for 5 weeks, they aspirated 2 cysts (OWWIEEE). You all seem to be supportive and helpful. It is so necessary when you go through this to have people to talk to.

Welcome pcosgirl and noodle!!, I hope you find here a great group as I did, It feels so good to have people you can talk to and that understand what you are going through...

I don't know if this happens to you too or not, but most of my friends don't talk to me about this, and I feel so alone, and when I tell them what I feel they say "I' m sorry I thought you didn't want to talk about this", like it is a taboo or something, they think it makes me more anxious, right , like not talking about it makes me less anxious  ....there, I feel better now.........let me tell you, this hormones are going to drive me crazy!! LOL

I get that also, then friends that make it out to be no big deal! My mom has been the worst though...she thinks this is voodoo and not to be messed with. She's starting to come around though, maybe because I have talked to her in over a month??? You think maybe, DH runs interference...What a guy.

I have been going through the same "isolation" as vicky77 and noodle (welcome!!!) I can just "feel" my friends uncomfortableness around me, like they are walking on glass. They try to avoid the subject and when I do bring it up because I feel like venting, most just immediately change the subject. I think that they cannot relate to me, and do not know what to say. Mostly because all my friends have at least one child and they were all "lucky" in that aspect.
My mother, is very devoted to her Catholic beliefs, and she has not had the courage to tell anyone about what we (my DH and I)are going through. She tells most of her friends that we are "being tested", not that we are actually doing the IVF. I fight with because it seems that she is embarassed about the situation. It is so hard to find support and comfort. But I understand them because up until 6 months ago I was one of them. I have had a couple of friends, who became acquaintances because of infertility. I was not supportive enough when they were going through it, and just seemed to lose touch. It is now that I feel like I want to reach out to those friends, and tell them...sorry, I did not know what and how you felt!!!!
These message Boards are very helpful and supportive,
Ciao, .....baby dreams.... :D

Hey Ladies!

First off I wanted to thank all of you for your wonderful support, I couldn't have made it thru this cycle without you all...

I started spotting on Tuesday and I so happened to be going to the clinic for blood work that day so while I was there they did a scan and saw the sac in the uterus but my hcg had not increased like it should, so they told me to come back today for another scan and beta. I continued to spot off and on and had bleeding yesterday afternoon. When they did the scan today, they could no longer find the sac, so as I suspected I miscarried yesterday... I am a little sad but I am more so frustrated then anything... My doc was out of town so I have a follow up with her on the 13th...

We have not made any decisions as of yet... I know that we have 8 frozen but I am getting emotionally drained from all this... and really ready to move on with my life... We might consider doing the FET cycles if we find the money but we will most likely start the adoption process also... Will not make any major decisions until after the holidays because my clinic shuts down anyway...

Thanks again for everything and I truely wish you all the best.... All of you that have gotten your BFP's I wish you a happy, stress free pregnancy and those of you the did not, I wish you the best in what ever path you decide to take next... I know there is a special plan for each of us and sometimes we have detours and get off track but it will all work out in the end... I have come to the realization that life is like a never ending train ride and sometimes we fall off and sometimes we even get run over but the train of life is going to keep going wither we are on it or not and our part is to jump back on and make to most of it and enjoy what we do have...

Lots of love and prayers
Jessica

PS sorry for the copy and paste, but it was easier... I also DO NOT want to put a damper on the month of NOV... it has been a great month for the Oct girls and it will continue for the NOV girls!!

Ohhh, Jeck, I am so sorry about your m/c, I just could not believe it when I read your post. But please do not be discouraged, there are a lot of women here who had a lot of treatments done before they could finally have a baby, so please keep trying, don't ever put your arms down. Anyway I think adoption is also a very good option, but only if you are ready for it....Please stay in touch, do not get lost, we want to keep hearing about you.
We will all be thinking about you...........
Best of luck!!

Hi guys, I know I just posted but it felt a little insenstive too rant on about mundane stuff while I was writing to Jeck, I am like so many of us gutted for her, this journey sooooo up and down......

Welcome all you newbies, sorry I haven't been in contact for a bit but life has been soooo hectic here, FIL is now home, although we are still awaiting the inevitable.....

How are you all doing then? I have kinda forgotten where we are all at so I will have to have a re-read!!! so you will have to excuse me while I get back in the swing of things...

I hope everyone else is doing OK and you are not too menopausal and coping well with whatever stage you are in on your cycles, I have just done 4 days on 225 Gonal-F, and have to do 150 for the weekend then scan on Monday, I am actually feeling OK the moment a little dry mouthed from the dexamethasone steroids and am very bloated but thats probably due to all the sandwiches and choc I have eaten sitting around the hospital this past fortnight, I feel like a right bloater.. We have been busy packing all night getting ready for the move, I decided to pack all my evening clothes and skinny jeans as I am certain they wont be needed for at least 10 months...thats PMA for ya!! :D

Personals will follow once I have refreshed my brain, take care all you soon to be Mothers.......if this thread expands anymore they will have to open up stork cloning clinics to meet the demand!!!!
