I did miss a bit of what had happen because I could not connect for a while , I remember you had some problems with your clinic because they did not perform a test and then they would not let you continue?.... Laura - OMG that is the best news ever, congratulations!!!

Just came back from hospital and we have a new plan for our FET. I'm starting to downreg on or around 21st dec depending on AF and am provisionally booked in for ET around 29th Jan. I have to down reg again and once that is achieved I have to take tablets to get the lining ready for transfer. I could've started with this month's AF but it would have meant taking my drugs to Florida with me and then downregging out there and I remember that I felt so tired and emotional last time I couldn't be doing with that on holiday, I want to relax and enjoy myself and also have a margarita or 2!!!

Carolyn - how did you get on?

Hi haylie thats great that you have your plan you can now go on holiday and have a great time knowing that you have your plans for your baby ready when you come home i have an apptpointment next tuesday to get my plan but the nurse did say that my embryos (if thawed) will be put back on 11th december so i just booked those 2wks of work . Carolyn hope you get to start soon and belco hope your appt goes well and we can all have BFP's for christmas

Rachel - good luck on Tues, it's exciting now cos it's getting close! Fingers crossed you get a bfp in time for christmas, that would be the best news ever! I only have 4 days leave left until April and that doesn't include christmas but never mind I can't complain. Where do you work? I work in a psychiatric hospital doing admin.

Hi haylie this has worked out quite well for me has i dont get christmas of only christmas day and boxing day but this year i will be off and normally not allowed any time off in dec but he said i could i am limiting who i tell this time i have only told my mam and 2 close friends at work has its hard to tell people when things go wrong I work in a bakery and everyone knows everyones business so going to try and keep it quiet .

I am back from the hospital!!!

Aunty - thanks for the fab Haloween pictures - that so made me smile. Hope that everyone has their goodies to hand out this evening to the children

Haylie - glad that you got on well at the hospital and that you now have a plan for your FET that allows you to go on Florida hols first. You'll come back from the holiday and be so relaxed going into the cycle. And hopefully Xmas will prove to be a distraction for you so the time will pass quite quickly.

So I am a happy bunny as I have a pre-Xmas plan of attack. Consultant had said that we had to wait post-surgery until after Xmas when we last saw him back in August. Woke up in the night and could not really sleep as so stressed that he would not allow us to try pre-Xmas or that we did not have enough time for the protocol that we did 1st time around. But explained that I am on sabbatical from my v stressful job but not sure how much longer that this can go on (due to £) and really stressed the fact that I wanted to get on with it whilst I was not working as so much easier to manage appointments etc etc. Dh piled in and backed me up - think that he wants a quiet life & to shut me up!!!

AND GUESS WHAT MY CONSULTANT HAS AGREED!!!! I am so much happier now that I have a plan. Plus he is going to put me on the short antagonist protocol this time due to timings so don;t even have to be on 2ww over Xmas & no down regging which went on for 18 days last time for me. So if AF shows on the right day, I will be starting stimmies on 16th November. If all goes well then EC/ET should be right at the end of November. I simply cannot believe it - after all the waiting and the two operations this summer that it might be so close for me. Know that there are loads of hurdles to clear but somehow feel that I will be able to deal with this as never expected to get an attempt in now and also given that it will be 20 injections less than last time around and over 2 weeks shorter. He sent us straight to the nurse to book a planning appointment. She started saying that they were fully booked (which was one of my panics in the night) but my this stage I had my consultant on side so was not going to give an inch. She went to speak to one of the nurses and they added an extra appointment so will see me next Tuesday. So I am all set. Now all I need to do is change my ticker so can count down to starting again.

It is a challenging process but it is so exciting to know that you are starting it again & that this may just be our time.

Aunty - may be I could ask you to be a sweetheart and update the list and have me starting on November 16th if AF behaves!!!!

Becleo - hope that your appointment went well and that you have a plan. A hat trick of plans would be terrific

so met with the doc.
he is pleased with how I am responding to all meds and nothing he sees that is wrong, I did a genetic test today and will get the results in 2 weeks. After that I will wait for AF and start shots! I am doing a Fresh cycle instead of FET. So Carolyn we might be shot buddies. I should be starting the same time as you too! very excited, and hopefully their will be christmas angels for us all!!!!!

Hi everyone

I am new to all this and have been writing posts on the general forum with some others who are starting their first IVF at some point in the near future. Today, I received a letter to say that we have an appointment with the consultant on the 4th of December after which we can start IVF more or less immediately. I hope you don't mind me joining you on this forum for a bit of support?
