sorry it took so long to reply.

Nance - The constipation is a little better now. I am taking metamucil so it is helping but still gassy. I can't decide when the cramping is the worse. Towards the end of the day, I guess my body is tired. I also have a 19 month old daughter (1st IVF miracle) that I'm running around with all day. I think this puts a strain on everything. I also eat the prunes but I find eating the dried ones is MUCH better than the juice. I actually like them. Kinda sweet.

buckeyegal - Congrats on the BFP. Your numbers are great!!!


I have my next scan on Friday to see how my numbers are.

It looks like I am one of the slow ones! Many of my fellow thread mates from the other side have already posted here. I hope everyone is doing well. I, personally, am worried I will jinx myself by posting here before my scan, but it is scheduled for Thursday, so I am ready! Everyone seems to be doing well and it sounds like there is lots of excitement here with all the scans and BW. Good luck all!

Colleen- my appointment is actually for tonight at 6:30pm... so I'll have news for you tomorrow. Also I'm hoping when I call the hospital tomorrow to schedule a scan they can get me in right away (but I'm sure that won't happen).

Tasha--According to this website, I'm about 4 1/2 weeks along. My first BETA was Monday and I have a 2nd test tomorrow. I'll be going to see the specialist next week for my first appointment.

I really am clueless as to what lies ahead! I was so focused on the IVF procedure, (and I was afraid of jinxing myself) that I haven't really figured out what happens next!?

I'm trying to eat healthy and rest (as much as I can, considering I'm a 1st grade teacher.) Any advice from you ladies?

Good Morning Girls-

I just wanted to fill you all in on my appointment last night. It was our first appointment w/ our new OB/GYN. What a great guy... we just loved him and his staff. We loved the fact that they took the little extra time to explain everything to us and kind of hand holded us per say. He did an internal exam on me last night and said that everything is fine. I have to call the hospital today to schedule my ultrasound & blood work. My next appointment is schedule for Nov. 29th (my 12 week exam). He also said that he's only going to keep me on the progesterone shots for another 12 days (how exciting). However, he's keeping me on crinone for another month.... which is fine by me! He also gave me clearance to get back into the gym and workout (lightly). I'm hoping this will make me feel better....

tasha- i'm glad your appointment went so well!!! you will have to let us know when your US appointment is.. i have blood on Monday, then Friday i see my OB for my 1st official OB visit... he said he would do a scan that day also... so looking forward to seeing my bean again.. Glad that you can stop the shots, i always felt the crinone was worse then the shots, well i guess cuz shots really do not bother me at all, they are kinda cool (sorry, i know it's weird)

kim- hope that your test went well today and your numbers are going up!!

Colleen- I'm actually going to go in for blood work on Monday too.... and my next scan is scheduled for Wednesday Nov. 8th @ 6:30pm. So now I have a countdown going until then.

However, I'm a little worried right now. I feel asleep on the couch last night and totally forgot to take my PIO Shot & Crinone last night. Does anyone know if missing one dose is going to harm the baby at all? Now I will be on pins and needles until Wednesday.... checking for spotting, worrying about every move I make, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We had our u/s today. The baby is fine and the heartbeat is strong at 118 bpm. He/she measures 4.5 mm and is right on target at 6 weeks and 1 day. My husband and I were so very happy. I have my final u/s and release appointment set for November 14th and the an appointment with my ob/gyn on Nov 16th. I feel so relieved! I just needed to see the little heartbeat and make sure he/she is still there.

Nance- that is great news... I'm so excited for you! What a strong little hearbeat your baby has.

In regards to me... my nurse called me back and said it wasn't a huge thing that I missed one does of my PIO Shots & Crinone. She said for me to just continue and try not to miss another dose... thankfully I only have 12 more shots to take.

hi everyone, just thought i'd let you all know that we had our scan today and are going to have twins!!!!
we are really pleased that we'll get our family in one go!
hope everyone is ok, thook, i think missing one dose is ok. i forgot a cyclogest pessary once and just took them normally the next day. sounds like your all progressing nicely and im so pleased for everyone. take care xx

Gina- that's great news about the twins... an instant family.

I finally heard back from my nurse and she said it's ok that I missed one dose of my meds... however she said just get right back on track. Thank goodness....

tasha- i missed a dose or two on my last pregnancy, and we had a healthy baby.... we'll be have BW on monday.. but you gaet your scan on wednesday, i have to wait till friday.... but hope that all goes well... so you are tired too... i fell asleep on the couch the other day also...

gina- congrats on the twins, that is awesome!!!

nance- good to hear that it is all good, and only 12 days left !! how exciting!!

Colleen- yeah tired isn't the word... I get home from work, cook dinner, do dishes and then once I hit the couch I'm out. My body just gives out.... However, come Monday I'm going to start working out again so hopefully that will give me a little bit more engry.

Well I recognise some names from the October buddies thread. It's quite scary to be posting on the 'pregancy after treatment' thread. Am not sure if I'm tempting fate!

Anyway, I'm awaiting my first scan on 14 Nov, when I'll be 6w6d. They make me wait that long because they only do scans once a week!!
I'm actually quite petrified about it. The natural pregnancy that I had ended in an blighted ovum (sac and yolk but no visible embryo). Am terrified this might have happened.

Am counting down the days until I see that heartbeat then can relax a little. This is almost as tough as the 2WW!

That is harder than the 2ww. I just had mine and it was hard waiting the two weeks until I got to make sure everything was okay. Once you see the little heartbeat (and hear it) you are floored. I almost cried I was just so very happy. I hope your time flies. I am now looking forward to our next scan on Nov 14th. This will be our last appointment with the RE. They will be releasing me to an OB/Gyn. It is kind of scary because it seems so soon! I will only be 7 weeks and 6 days! I am praying for Christmas to make it here quickly this year because that is the threashold that I have to reach if this babe is going to stick around!
