Jen1-Good luck with ET tomorrow! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. BTW-I had cramps throughout my whole 2ww-thought AF was going to arrive any minute. I don't know whether it was from EC or ET or the Progesterone gel but it caused me lots of worry! I still get them sometimes now though they have faded a lot. Maybe it is the progesterone . . .

Believebaby and Cowgirl-Congrats on your scans! How exciting!!

Jenn-I hope your appt goes well and that you get the answers you are looking for.

Jeck-Please feel free to ask anything about my adoption! I am happy to share. When we decided to adopt, I was at a really low point with fertility treatment and just didn't feel that I could do it anymore and we hadn't even done IVF yet! But we had been through several years of trying, tons of tests, clomid, injectibles without IUI, injectibles with IUI and I just felt that we needed to move in a different direction. My clinic couldn't believe it at the time-they were like we could change medications, do more IUIs, try IVF, etc. But I just needed to be done at that point. I was young enough that I felt that I could return to the clinic down the road. Well, I will tell you it was the best decision of my life! I know now 100% that I went in the right direction-my son was waiting for me and even though it took a long time to bring him home, he was absolutely meant to be with us and I know without a doubt that I was meant to be his mom. He has completely changed my life and brought me immeasurable joy. OK I am a bit biased maybe!! Anyway, I do believe that there is a plan and sometimes we just might not know it at the time. But we did go back for more treatment, enjoyed a nice break from it (though it didn't leave my mind totally), and here we are. I believe that things happen for a reason and that sometimes it takes a long time before we know what the reason is. I am thankful every day for everything that happened in my life that led me to my son. You could even try to do both at the same time and what is meant to be will be. The best thing about the adoption process is knowing that at the end of the road you will absolutely be a mom. It might take longer than you thought or not go exactly as you though it would but there is a baby at the end, one way or another. Good luck to you in your decisions, I think about you lots.

As for me, I am doing pretty good-so far so good! I can't relax and feel totally confident about this pregnancy but I guess that is normal. I really don't have any symptoms but I guess it's kind of early still or maybe I'm just lucky so far? I don't know; over the years, I've heard so many people say that if you are really sick it means that the pregnancy is strong. So I get worried. I am tired though but that's it!!

Hope everyone else is well!!

Hi Everyone,

Jen1 - Good Luck with your transfer tomorrow. I bet you can't wait to get those beannies back where they belong. Let us know how it goes. I also had cramps in varying severity since my retrieval and still have them on and off. Even though they scare me to death, my RE said that they are nothing to worry about.

JenJ - I am also having a hard time relaxing and enjoying this but I am trying my best. I worry about everything. This is so much worse than the 2ww. I have my 1st scan tomorrow. So maybe I will feel better after that.

Ophee - How is your cold doing? I hope you are feeling better. I'm so glad your OHSS is getting better and your numbers are great.

Xrayam - Good Luck at your second BETA tomorrow let us know how it goes. I'll say a prayer for you.

I have a general question for anyone who knows. My RE has taken me off PIO shots and putting me on Progesterone Capsule Suppositories. Is anyone else taking them? I am concerned that I am no longer going to take the shots because I thought you needed to take them for 12 weeks. I used my first one this morning and it seems to have leaked out a little bit. Not to be grosse, but I noticed some residue on my panties. I am concerned that this means that it did not get absorbed by my body. Is this what usually happens? Thank you so much for your responces.

Take care everyone.

All my best.

Nance--completely understand about the PIO... They overfill the Suppositories for this reason... what goes up must come down!! LOL!!!... If you are really concerned about it, have your RE check your progesterone levels again and if they are not where they are suppose to be then go back on the PIO... With my first IVF my levels when down a bit and I could either go to 2 suppositories a day or go back on the PIO and I chose to go back on the PIO... I personally didn't care for the suppositories and if I ever do another cycle I will not use them. I just think they are too messy and the shots don't bother me... Yours should be fine since you are on them 3x a day... but don't hesitate to make them do the bloodwork to give you piece of mind...

Good luck with your scan tomorrow, let us know how it goes as soon as you can!!!!

Hey girls!

Nance- the supp. things don't sound fun! How come you can't just do the shots?

Jeck- How are you doing? I think about adoption A LOT! Good luck to you if you decide to go that route. There are so many kids out there that need a loving home- sometimes I wonder if that is what God is trying to tell me.

Jen1 good luck with ET!! We'll be thinking about you!

Glad to see everyone is doing ok.
Take care!
Jenn

Jenn, Jeck thank you for responding. I went to my RE yesterday and they said that I was getting knots in my butt from the shots and they thought it would be better to switch. They told me at the appointment prior to that that they were switching me soon anyway (I guess that is just their protocol). I would stay with the shots but I think they are afaid that I am getting an infection. The supps. sound like they are a pain because I am going to have to run home every day from work to give them to me on my lunch hour. I think I'll ask tomorrow at my scan if they continue to do blood work to check the projesterone levels so I don't worry so much.

Jill - Congratulations on you BETA. You must be so thrilled. I bet you can't wait for that first scan.

Talk to you all later.

xoxo

Nance, I am worried about the same thing. My doc pulled me off shots yesterday and had me start supository at night. I have read enough to know it is messy and wore a panty liner to work today. But I would gladly do the shots longer if it was safer for the baby. I hope I am getting enough with the supositories. :-)

Keep me posted on what you find out. :-)

Take care all,
Cowgirl

Nance- I'm not on supositories, but I am on crinone cream... I have found that wearing a panty liner each day helped me (and has also saved many pairs of panties). Good luck and keep us posted!

Nance - I have done the suppositories with both rounds and although they are a little messy, I prefer them to the shots. If you put them in at night before you go to bed and wear a pad, they work great. I wouldn't worry, I asked my doc about whether I was getting enough as well and he said I was even with the leaking. It seems the longer I have been doing them, the less they leak so maybe my body is absorbing it better now. Those knots in your butt sound painful so these should be a lot easier on you.

Ophee - Sorry about your cold but your numbers are great. I caught a cold right after my pregnancy test too and have heard it's common when you first get pregnant. I think our bodies have just been through the ringer so I wasn't surprised. Take it easy and be sure to get lots of rest.

Jen1 - good luck tomorrow. I'm going to be praying for you!

Jstrandlund - congrats on your count, that number is great. When is your next beta test, when you have your scan on the 15th? It's so hard to wait for that first scan. Try to keep yourself busy and hopefully it will go quick.

JenJ - I know exactly how you feel but everyone is different so hopefully you are just having an easier time than other women. I haven't felt anything but a little tired so was really worried until I had my scan and got my last count (17,551). I'm not so sure I am lucky or if it's just going to hit me a little later. It's still very early but enjoy feeling good while it lasts. Hopefully we are the lucky ones not the late ones!!

Sorry if I forgot anyone, hope everyone's feeling good!

Aimee, Nance, Tasha, thanks for the kind messages. I am feeling a little better from the cold. Aimee, thanks for sharing your experience ... :P

But still very concern over the early relief of the OHSS, and doc felt that it's a bit early for the relief too. He suspected maybe one of the sac is losing the battle (as he believed there is more than one in there). I had a scan yesterday, the result is not very pleasing ... yes, there is a little sac, but not very clear. Doc said he is not sure if there is more than one, and it's too early to tell. He then give me my 3rd beta (result later today) and asked to return on 4 Nov for another scan to be sure. It really worry me ... waiting anxiously for the result. :?

I am also on the suppositories since EC. Started with 3x a day, the doc make a change yesterday ... another brand and 2x a day. Yeap! The panty liner really helps a lot.

Jen1d - Good luck with the ET tomorrow.

Cheers

Hi guys,

Hope all is well. My second beta results are in: 844! (thats 15dp3dt). Can't wait to see how many!

I too was on the crinone gel but have just picked up a bunch of the pessaries. I didn't find the gel too messy....but sounds like the pessaries are more fun...not.

Congrats Jill on your rising beta!

Got my number for my 3rd beta, it's 17,014 for 19dp3dt. Not too sure what does that tell ... but the nurse said it looks great, at least it's increasing.
