Justine:

Thanks for the advice. I will try it before retiring tonight. Can you tell me how to access the photos on photobucket.

It is always good to go see mom and dad. I am lucky that I get to see mine twice a week. I teach in the town where they live (1hr from me) twice a week. I go over for lunch and meet them for dinner during my break between classes.

Thanks,
Tammy

Morning All,

Can't stop just taking Jodie to Great Ormond Street for her tests. Hopefully they will come back ok.

Tammy if you go to photobucket.com user name is IVF group and password is IVF group, once they have loaded remember to scroll down to see the photos (took me a while to figure that bit out!).

We have booked to have a private scan on Saturday so I feel better.

Got to go. Will be on later to chat to you all properly!

Kareen you're looking good!

Hi Ladies

Jo, I hope Jodie's tests went ok! Sending hugs for the poor little thing. Hoping the scan goes really well on Saturday and that bubs is just fine...if you can see the baby's 'bit's' will you find out the sex?

Tammy, I am sure you will be feeling little Andrew's kicks before too long. Once you recognise what they are you will realise that he has been punching, kicking and wriggling for a while. It also depends on placenta placement, I have a posterier placenta so have felt them for a while however, if the placenta is anterior it can block alot of sensation. I find that if I drink something really cold or if I put the mobile music box up to my tummy he starts to go nuts. Good luck!

Zoe, wow finishing work...that seems like an eternity away for me :( Sorry to hear about the SPD. That is one of my biggest fears as it sounds horrible. I really hope it doesn't get worse and that you don't need to resort to crutches. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Vita, try not to worry and stay away from google!! I know I always tend to focus on the bad info and tend to ignore the good stuff. Remember, only a very small percentage of babies missing an umbilical artery have chromosomal problems and as your baby is anatomically perfect, I think you need to relax...easier said than done, I know, but I hope you are able to relax a bit. Also, don't apologise for posting your worries and concerns, that is what we are all here for...to share the highs and the lows! Take care..please!

Kareen, love the piccie, you look fabulous....truly the yummy mummy! Passing out in the supermarket could be a bit scary...I thought you had the eating thing down pat...how did you manage to leave the house without eating? Eat, eat, eat and stuff some snacky things in your bag for when you are out and about.

Justine, sorry to read about your scare but glad that everything is ok. There are panty liners you can buy that will indicate if you are leaking fluid or not..they are called amniosence. I was thinking about getting some as I am a bit of a panic merchant and I know they will help to ease my mind in the weeks to come. I too love the pictures of sophie....I looked back through photobucket and saw all of sophies pictures...she is always so happy and definitely photogenic. What a cutie!

Not sure if it just the post holiday blues or if I am particularly hormonal. I feel really grumpy, incredibly tired and I am aching all over. I have also developed carpal tunnel in one hand (non-dominant thank heavens). I have been taking prenatal vitamins but I have a feeling my iron levels might be low. I am having the glucose tolerance test next week and will have my iron levels checked then. I kind of hope that is why I feel so tired as it is easily fixed....does anyone else feel exhausted? Sorry about the whining....I am really good at it though! I feel guilty about complaining when I am so lucky to be in this position in the first place...just having a bad day.

Hope you are all having a great week!

Cheers
Heather

Hello Ladies:

Justine & Jo: Thanks for the info. on photobucket. I tried to post photos to photobucket, but they did not apppear :( . I have some good ones of Andrew.

Heather: Thanks for the info. on the placenta placement. I'm not sure about mine. I too have been exceptionally tired lately. I think it has something to do with the 4 or 5 times a night that I have to get up to go to the bathroom.

Kareen: Hopefully, you can see the babys' sex for yourself during your next scan.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hey girlies - how's all those bumps??

Sorry I'm not posting as much as I'd like - work is mental busy... honestly, with only 8 school days left (NOT that I'm counting - in hours  ... hee-hee) I'm working flat out - more so than before. Figure that one out.

Debz - you crasj in any time - always welcome...

Tammy - hope you are taking it easy, my friend. The kicks will come hard and fast soon - then you'll be telling him to calm down. LOL

Kareen - Come to the homeland, my love :D The weather has definately started to change - at long last there's a nip in the air tonight (I LOVE winter). Poor you with the sleep. Know what you mean though. I was taking to my friend the other day and saying that I'm averaging 5 hours broken sleep a night. We reckon it's the body preparing for getting up to figure. Makes sense, BUT WHY???? Does oour stupid bodies not understand with all the sucking out of goodness by the babes that we need our sleep NOW as we're knackered.   Hope it gets better - same with the carpal tunnel. That's something I definately don't want...

Heather - thanks for the concerns - I'm crisis managing the SPD great at the moment (touch wood that continues) As for work - I thought the 3 weeks after the October break would drag - but so much to do and so little time... I'm head of departments so I swear they're trying to get their money worth and the staff are bombarding me :( Anyway, at least the time is passing quick. By the way, grumpiness is all part and parcel of this rollercoaster - maybe you are just having 'sucky days' as I call them when the babe goes through growth spurts. Hope the tests go ok when you get them.

Jo - how are you? Did you get Jodie's tests results back yet?

Vita, Justine - hope you are keeping well...

If I've missed anyone - sorry - hope you are well!

32 weeks tomorrow - yipeeeeeeeeeeeee. Still here and getting bigger and bumpier (!) by the second...

Hello my lovelies

Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, it's been manic!

I took Jodie on Monday, Paul said I should go as I could relax while there - yeah right! It was awful. It took 7 attempts to get the nasal tube in, her nostrils were bleeding and she was so stressed. It was horrible. Paul came down Monday evening with Emma and stayed down there and I took Emma home. She screamed from the hospital until the train went passed Harlow (about 45 minutes). All she kept screaming was I want my daddy! I think people must have thought I was abducting her - people were even leaving the carriage and moving to another one - obviously childless!! So to say it was stressful was an understatement! Jodie wouldn't lay on the table for the barrium meal on Tuesday morning. We should get the results of the ph study tomorrow. I will keep you posted. Thank you for all the kind wishes for her.

I'm feel really heavy now. I've put on 3 stone (42lb). My face has gone so round, I look like Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - after she's turned into a blueberry! I know it's the steriods and I will go back to "normal" but that doesn't help now - I can't look in the mirror and when I'm out other people don't know, I'm convinced they are staring at me, they probably aren't but I look horrible!

It's just gone 1am and I can't sleep. Got woke up with a hypo so have had two cups of tea and some bicuits, starting to feel a little better.

I have the consultant tomorrow and the diabetic clinic so will hear the little one. We have booked a gender scan for Saturday so hopefully will get to find out what it is - will keep you all posted. I haven't told anyone about the scan, other than the girls, so will keep it a secret from everyone else - not you lot, you're special!

We ordered the cot the other day. Paul was fed up with me asking, what about this one?! It arrived yesterday. I popped to the shops today and got some pads, breast pads and nipple cream. I feel better now. Think I'm going to struggle soon getting out and I am not going shopping with Christmas shoppers! I read today that once you've had a premature baby the chances of another one are really high which has scared me a little - could mean I only have 14 weeks left! I need to be prepared.

Justine, when I was in Boots I saw they did those panty liner things that Heather was talking about, maybe worth taking a look.

I will go shopping after the scan on Saturday if we find out the sex. Paul's mum is having the little ones Saturday night but Paul wants me to go to the cinema to watch SAW III with him - mmm yes that will be really relaxing!

Tammy your scan picture is so clear and your dogs are adorable!

Kareen I hope you're ok. I do read every day even if I don't get round to posting.

Sorry I don't have time for personals and my back is begining to ache but that doesn't mean I'm not thinking of you all! One thing, Vita stay off line, you can only come on to speak to us and look for lovely baby things - nothing else, it's not good for your health!

Take care and will check in tomorrow

Jo
