4 weeks with cramping and brown discharge...anyone had this?

Sorry for the tmi! I found out yesterday after 6 long years and 7 cycles that my hubby and I got a BFP! ..we are really pleased but sooooooo worried..I have been signed off work by my clinic as I have had cramps and also a brown/yellow type discharge like pre/post AF..is this ok and does or has anyone else had this and been okay? I have no other symptons to make me believe that I am pregnant but I know that it is very early days..

The only thing that I have had is a feeling of hunger the whole time and also waking up at 4 in the morning and being unable to fall back to sleep which is quite unlike me..oh and also a bit of a tummy upset (or feeling of unsettlement) just like AF!

Hoping for some reassurance to take me up to my 7 week scan on the 23rd Nov which seems so far away.

COngratulation! I have not have any discharge but I have read many many posts of ladies saying that they had some kind of discharge and even some of them bled a bit in the first weeks...

I know there is not much I can say to make you stop worrying. So I wish you a lot of patience!

I had this type of bleeding/spotting from week 5 until week 8. I also had the cramping. I was completely terrified and could not focus on anything.

Everthing has turned out ok. I am now 14 weeks with my twins.

I know that it is easier said than done....but please try and relax...your baby/babies need you to.

I even had one episode of heavy bright red bleeding after lots of walking and activity when I went out of town.

My advice....take it easy. Do only what you have to. REST REST REST.

I had my first IVF starting Sept 06 and found out a couple of days ago Im pregnant. Im 5 weeks and I too have this brown disharge which Im very worried about. Its nice to hear that it may amount to nothing but still it is a major worry. I keep thinking its getting worse but I dont know if Im imagining that it is. I think we just have to keep positive. Reading others experiences really helps so thanks for leaving all the positive replys.

I had a brown discharge for at least 8 to 10 weeks of preg. I also had the af cramps it is very scary but he is here and I aslo heard of alot of people getting this. All should be well enjoy your pregnancy.

It's absolutely normal and amazing how many women have the same. That's no consolation I know, but it's old blood...

I've had this both preganancies - the first time, brown, red, clots and cramping. The second time, mostly brown, some pink and it lasted off and on from about 7 weeks until 16! It's a complete nightmare and very worrying, but just try and stay calm and get it checked - continue to get it checked when you worrying or it changes even slightly - we had countless trips to EPU, but that's what they are there for.

Just think of what's going on inside

Thanks so much ladies for your posting..the discharge has long gone now but I do still have a few cramps so I hope that all is well..I have my scan 2 weeks today...so another 2ww..
