NOV 06 IVF girls....

Hi Everyone,

Just got back from the Dr. He didn't tell me how many follies I have but he was counting off the measurements. There were so many it was hard to keep track. I think I counted 18. They ranged from 11-14. He said the earliest I would have the ER is Tuesday. I'm going back Sunday so we will see what he says then. I'm preparing so well for this. LOL. I called a maid service to get me and estimate on cleaning my house. I'm having thanksgiving at my house and I don't want to stress myself out. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Everyone, so much going on here.i'm back at work now but its helping to keep my mind off the wait!
Jordan22 congratulations 13 eggs is great, hopefully you'll have some to freeze.
bigwhitehappydog, 5 is ok you only need 1, and your health and well being is as important.
Ellie my DH has been to all but one appointment and always comes in with me, although he chose to stay in the waiting room for my FET i think this was nerves as i had a pretty rough time at ET first time around, luckily it was much quicker this time.

OK here are the results... (my nurse just called)

15 eggs retrieved
14 mature
10 fertilized...

now we wait and pray that we get some good babies....

Tonia- 13 eggs is great. Have you heard yet about how many fertilised? Keep us posted.

Bigwhitehappydog- can understand your disappointment but hoping that your five are all good. Fingers crossed.

I have been for my BT and scan today and I can start stimming tonight. At last! Feel like the last few weeks have been a real stress and now just want to sit back and have a good week. Planning on a relaxing weekend, or as relaxing as it can be with toddler! Hope everyone has good weekend too x

I had my first scan today and I'm kinda disappointed. The doc saw only 11 follies ranging from 10.5-18mm. I think 2 were about 18mm and 2 15 smth. It was hard to find follies on one ovary, so I'm hopping he missed serveral. Anyway, my ER will be Mon or Tue (the latest). I'll let you know.
Ellie, my DH goes to scans with me. In the beginning he didn't want to but he had no choice

Did they tell you possible ER dates?

Hi ladies

I was hoping to join you all. I am not doing IVF but am doing FET as i have 3 frosties in the freezer. I am on day 8 today. To have scan next wed and then wait until i surge before ET.

Hi KF06- I will probably have my retrival on monday, i am going back tomorrow to see my doc. Don't be disapointed 11 is still a good number and you might have a few hiding.
My DP comes with me to the scans but waits outside,(big girl)

I think because i know how many follies i have i am starting to feel the bloatedness now. 23mm sounds like a very big follie to me so i am paranoid i will ovulate to early or it is to big. I might have got the size wrong.

Congratulations on having 10 fertilized eggs Jordan.

Hi everyone, how many news today!!!!!

KF 06, thanks for asking, I had my HCG shot yesterday night, the shot itself did not hurt at all, I didn't even feel it (much better than the stim shots), today I feel a little bit of soreness on the area, but very very mild, just to remind me that I had the shot

. Don't worry about the amount of follies, you have about 13-15 follies, that's a lot!!!!!!!, so you'll be fine!!

Welcome Susan!!!, good luck with your FET!!!!

Tonia, 10 fertilized that's amazing!!!!!!

I am starting to become nervous about ER tomorrow!!!!!!

, those who had it done already??, how do you feel afterwards??.
And regarding ET, how many days are you girls going to be off from work after transfer?

I hope all of them mature but I doubt it because some were only about 11mm

The doc told me that I shouldn't worry about the eggs, I should worry about the sperm

My DH did his donation today to freeze as a back up. We still haven't heard from the clinic if it worked or not. I'll keep you posted. Good luck with your ER tomorrow!

Congratulations Elliecat & Tonia...I dont have much time so this will be short and sweet! sorry! really good results from what I have quick scanned!!! will post later!!!

Had another scan, I am in on Tuesday for ER....54 follies 6 of them dont really count as they are only 8mm at the mo... the rest are 12ish - 18 so hopefully I should get a decent...no I will get a decent (PMA

)number on Tuesday! Fingers crossed for all of us ladies!!

Will have a good re-read later!!

Tonia--Congrats on the 10!! WOW!!

Vicky,

ER is not that bad! Of course there is soreness and bloated after, but nothing that horrible. I went to work the next day, and was fine. Just sleepy...and sore, but nothing I couldn't bare. I took nothing for the pain...so it was not that bad.

ET...haven't done that yet either...hopefully this time

... I would like to have someone's thoughts on it too!!!

Well, I went to the RE today, and I have a total of 11 follies...a little less than last time. But, they said it was good because they were all measuring the same size---10 mm... I go back to the RE on Monday to get another scan... and it will be either wed. or thurs for ER. So, pretty good news I guess. My last acupuncture is today...

Tonia- wow 10 out of 15 is great. Sure you'll have 2 great embies to put back.

Vicky- thinking of you for tomorrow. I didn't feel that bad after my last EC. Not sick or anything after the aneasthetic. I had my ET on Fri, was due to go to work on the Monday, but ended up taking time off til the following weekend. This time as I only work 2 days a week I will just try and work as normal but will see!

Can anyone give me some reassurance please?
I have just given myself my first Menopur injection. Had to draw up 1ml liquid which I lost a little bit of as 1ml syringe is so fiddly. Then i mixed with the 2 powders, and when I finished I only had just over 0.8mls in syringe, but hadn't lost anything and nothing really left in vials. Is that normal? Don't remember this happening last time. Can't ask clinic until Monday. Oh well will see what happens tomorrow! Promised myself I won't stress about it this weekend as really need to relax

Don't worry!
I have the same dosage of Menopur to mix. I was told that if you have less water, the medication might sting a little, that's all. I always get less than 1ml at the end. I guess it's the way syringe is.
