Lola - Congratulations! You did awesome - 17 eggs. I hope that you get great quality embryos. I am so happy that you made it to the retrieval stage because I know how concerned you were with your cycle being cancelled. Rest up and before you know it, it will be time to transfer. How exciting!!!

Alicia - I hope you are feeling better. I think it is great that your RE is considering another method for to get pregnant. If your RE is suggesting an IUI for the next round, then by all means, go for it. Of course, do it when you are ready to do it. If you need a couple of months to give your body a break, then do it then but don't give up hope yet.

Mia - It is good to hear that you are responding well to the FET protocol and that your lining is ready for a transfer. Are you planning to transfer all three? Glad to see that you are more relaxed during this cycle. Keep it up.

Wannababy - I am glad that your cyst is a non hormone producing one and that your cycle won't be cancelled because of it. Is the cyst still causing you pain?

Suzhan - Those Lupron shots are a breeze compared to the PIO ones, aren't they. I also did 10 units during my down regging but I did 5 units during the stims. I did notice though that during the down regging I was having hot flashes in the middle of the night. I don't know if it will happen to you but I just thought I'd mention it in case it does. It is one of the side effects of Lupron.

I hope everyone is doing well. Here are plenty of baby dust and best wishes to all of you.

Hi everyone--

Myhb--How are you? The pain from the cyst comes and goes. It has been pretty good since starting stims.

Lola--How many eggs fertilized?

Alicia--Thinking of you...... :)

Hopeful- we should be pretty close. We should be getting our BFP's within a week of each other.

Suzhan- How's the lupron treating you? So far so good for me.

I have bw and us tomorrow. I hope all is going well.

Some of these little trick or treaters are simply adorable. I can't wait to dress my babies up in cute costumes.......... :)

Take care ladies!

Hi everyone! Happy Halloween!

Lola - Congrat's on the ER - 17 eggs, that's very good news. I'm praying for some strong healthy embies for you. Do you transfer on Day 3 or Day 5? This is so exciting - I really am keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well for you this week, Lola!

Alicia - Just letting you know I'm still keeping you in my thoughts and hope you and DH are doing okay.

Mia - the FET procedure does sound simple - at least only one set of injections (although I know the PIO's are no picnic.) 11/9 is just around the corner, though, so it will be here before you know it.

Myhb - good to hear from you! How are you doing? Hope you're well.

Wannababy - I've not heard too much about cysts. I had one last summer (2005) but I think it was a different kind (they called it a hemmoragic cyst I think :?: ) They found it during my original work up when we were TTC but it just went away on it's own in 2 months. Thank goodness this one hasn't impacted your cycle. I've seen a few posts from others on this site who say they had cysts and were able to continue as well. I'm sure you're RE wouldn't let you go forward if there was a risk. The lupron shots thus far have been just fine, thanks for asking. I've done 3 so far and I've not had any symptoms, but as far as I can recall, I never did have any symptoms with the lupron. It's the stims that seem to get me.

I don't have any bw or us until 11/6 - next Monday. Then I'll get both and hopefully the 'green light' to start stims on the 8th. Unfortunately, DH is out of town on 11/9, so I'm on my own for the stim shots that day. :(

I've got two more BCPs to take and then AF should arrive - - I'm truly praying it's the last time AF will visit for 9+ months!

Take care everyone! :D

Lola, congrats on 17 eggs! I hope you get some excellent quality embies! Best of luck with transfer!

myhb, Thanks! We are transfering all 3, as long as they all survive the thaw. I am confidant though, because my clinic has a very high survival rate. My RE doesn't seem concerned about risk of triplets, probably because of my age and the fact that we failed implantation last time.

wannababy, yes we are very close :) Are you doing 2-3 day transfer or 5 day?

Hello ladies!

My RE called yesterday and told me I actually had 19 eggs retrieved out of which 18 were very mature. Out of those 18 we have 13 that fertilized. They already froze some (he said he will freeze 5-6) and they will let the rest (7-8 embies) grow and transfer the 3 best ones tomorrow. He said this is very good news and could not believe how well I responded to this other microflare protocol. We were very happy. My cramping is almost gone now.

I will be home tomorrow after the transfer, so I will let you know how it went. We are still at our mom's house. I guess I will be on bedrest for 2 days but I will finally have my computer, so I will do another update. I don't want to sound spoiled, but this dial up internet is driving me crazy.

Mia --- I am so glad that you are feeling so happy this time and don't have any crazy events in your life now that could influence the success of this. Go girl go!!!

Myhb --- thanks for thinking of me, you are right, I was so happy just to get to the retrieval date. I just hope those embies will be strong and make it till tomorrow!

Wannababy --- how are those shots comming? Your retrieval is almost here as well!

Suzhan ---- how is everything going with your cycle? Lupron is really a piece of cake, ha? I also have stopped caffeine and wine. I love wine, but I used to drink only a glass a week or so. Good luck with stimming and I wish you lots of follies!

Alicia --- how are you doing my friend? I have been thinking of you. Have you talked to your RE about your plans regarding IUI? Please keep in touch and let us know when you have some more details...

Sam, Champa ---- good to hear from you!

Lola,

That is great news. THat is better than what I got and I am in my fourth month so that can only mean good things for you. During bed rest, take it easy and do not stress. THe 2ww waiting is hard but the most important. I was calm through mine until about two days before the test and then lost it. I think I cried for 48 hours until I got my results. BUt I think being calm helped me and also made it go by faster. Try not to look into every symptom and stay away from HPT. That is the biggie. I am sending you good thoughts!!!

Lola - Thanks hun for the good wishes and many congrat's on your wonderful news. I'm truly just so thrilled for you. I wish you all the best on your transfer. As Sam says, try to relax and remember we're all here to help you keep your mind occupied during the 2WW. I'm sending you many good prayers and wishes in the meantime! 8)

Hi everybody!

Lola- How was the transfer? When is your pregnancy test? How are you making out with the bedrest?

Hopeful-I dont know if its 3 or 5 day transfer. Last time it was 3.

Sam-Hows your pregnancy? Will you find out the gender? Keep us posted.

I had my bw and us yesterday. The doctor said that "nothing is brewing yet" :? I don't go back until Saturday. I hope that there's something positive to report. I was a slow stimmer last time, but thought with the microflare cycle and the lupron, that would give me a jumpstart. I guess we will see. The lupron gives me headaches. Does anyone know if a side effect form lupron is drowsiness? I'm really tired!

Hope all is well and take care!

Hey wannababy - Here's what I found on the side effects of lupron:

The most common side effects with Lupron Depot are generally those related to low estrogen levels, including hot flashes, headaches and vaginal dryness. Women taking Lupron Depot plus norethindrone acetate 5 mg daily may experience hot flashes, headache, nausea/vomiting, depression/changes in mood, and weakness.

I think your drowsiness and headaches could definitely be related to the lupron. I hope your appointment on Saturday goes well. Hang in there!

Hello everyone!
Here is a new update, finally! The website that I am using for my icons is down, so sorry for the little picture signs, if you still see them.

Thank you all for thinking of me and wishing me luck! You are so sweet! My transfer was yesterday and it went very well. They transferred 3 embies, they were all 8 cell embies grade B. I hope it is not too bad. Anyone knows? I know grade A would have been perfect, but none of them made it to A. The RE said A does not happen too often and my embies still have a pretty good chance of implanting. The other 4 are still growing, they are not suitable for freezing at this time, but if they grow little more, they will freeze them on Sunday. We still have 6 more that they froze on the second day after the retrieval, so I am happy about that. I also have a picture of my embies, how sweet! I keep looking at them all the time. They also gave me their petri dish as a keepsake for good luck.
I am going back to bed now. I was sleeping the whole afternoon yesterday, I guess it was the valium they gave me. I am testing on 11/11.

Please let me know if I should make any changes to our update. I may have missed some info! Wannababy and Suzhan, good luck with stims and Mia, your FET is almost here!!!!!

lola,

Was yours a day 3 or day 5 transfer. If it is a day three then having B quality (to the best of my knowledge)is absolutly fine as they could have developed more by day 5 (they just may not wanted to risk it as some eggs do better in the womb). If yours was a day 5 then B is also fine as eggs just hold on sometimes for whatever reason. I think B and above is always a good sign

Sam --- thank you so much for your advice. I had a transfer on day 3, so I hope it is OK, like you said. I tried to do some research on it, but did not find much info. So thanks again! You are such a sweetheart. And yes, please let us know if you are going to find out the gender!

Wannababy --- good luck with our ultrasound tomorrow, I hope they will see more follies this time. They did not see much when I had my first one, only 4, and then I jumped to 15 follies two days later. At the end I had total of 19. Let us know! My 2ww is OK, I have been sleeping all the time since I was given valium during the ET (it stays in your system for 36 hours), so I did not have time to get bored yet. I am almost out of bed now.

Alicia --- I have been thinking about you, how are things going?

Lots of luck to you all, Lola

Lola--Your responses are so inspiring. Thank you. I needed to see your response this morning, especially after my appt.

I had my bw and us this morning. Not very good--the doctor says pending the results of my bloodwork, this cycle may have to be cancelled. :? I'm waiting for the phone call now. After 6 days of stimming, he said that I only have 4 follicles and my lining hasn't really changed. I kinda expected this for some odd reason. I'm not sure how I will feel if this is cancelled. I will keep you posted!
