RETRIEVAL TOMORROW, ANYONE ELSE?

HI EVERYONE: I'M A 1ST TIME IVF'R....2 FAILED IUI'S. TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY. I'M 40 SO THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE. ANYONE GOING THROUGH THE SAME STAGE RIGHT NOW AND WANT TO BOUNCE THINGS OFF EACH OTHER?

HI THERE......THEY COUNTED 16, BUT THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME SIZE....I HEARD HIM SAY SOME 16'S AND SOME 18'S......AND THOSE ARE THE ONES THEY WANT.....THE SMALLER ONES HE DIDN'T EVEN MEASURE THE LAST TIME........PLEASE STAY IN TOUCH!!!! I'M SO NERVOUS ABOUT THIS.....HOW ARE YOU FEELING??? I FEEL LIKE CRAP, MY STOMACH FEELS SO BLOATED.....AND CHEST IS SO SORE, IT EVEN HURTS TO TAKE A SHOWER.

Those sizes are really good. My stomach is killing me as well as my chest. I really can't wait to find out how many get fertilized. Hey we did all we can do right? It's not in our control. I think that is the thing I hate mot about IVF. I just want these things out of me. I want to stop being in pain everyday.

Hi wisconsingal hope all went well with your ER today. Those numbers sound pretty good to me.
You should join the november thread in the general forum there are lots of people going through ivf this month and they will be able to share experiences with you.

Lots of luck to those of you doing yout ER's. I will also be having my retrieval done on Friday. I have about 20 follicles as well. I can not wait to get his over with as well. Let's just keep our eyes on the prize. So far I have to admit it has not been that bad. I am terrified of the progesterone shots. Hope I can just get through it and the time goes fast. Le me know how your retrieval went.

NONE OF MINE MADE IT??? THEY DON'T KNOW WHY, DH'S WAS "GREAT" THEY SAID, MY (4) LOOKED GREAT.....THEY HAVE NO CLUES WHY IT DIDN'T WORK......I'M DEVISTATED.....AND WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. WE'VE SPENT OVER $15,000.00 FOR THIS ONE PROCEDURE WITH ALL THE WORK UP, THE MEDS, (WHICH SOME I STILL DIDN'T USE), AND THE ER......BUT WE DIDN'T GET THE ET.......NOW WHAT?

They said you were fine and had no other reason why it didn't work. We did ICSI because of my DH low sperm count. Out of 21 eggs 13 were mature and only 8 fertilized. I am praying to god they hang on till day 5. My clinic said my transfer will be Sunday and if there was any emergency they would call early Friday morning. I hope they don't call on Friday morning. Keeping my fingers crossed. Was ICSI an option for you? They must give you a better explanation. Let me know.

I FEEL LIKE THE CLINIC HAS JUST BLOWN ME OFF RIGHT NOW.......MY DR. CALLED FROM A CELL PHONE.....AND IT WAS LIKE SO COLD.....AND SO AWEFUL, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO ASK, I JUST STARTED BALLING (AFTER I HUNG UP) AND LEFT WORK BECAUSE I WAS SHAKING SO BAD, AND MY STOMACH WAS IN SUCH PAIN YET FROM THE PROCEDURE, I JUST FELT LIKE I NEEDED TO LIE DOWN.......HIS LAST WORDS TO ME WERE "CALL ME NEXT WEEK" LIKE HE WAS JUST TO BUSY TO TALK OR EXPLAIN. MY DH IS SO ANGRY, HE REALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS THE TIME, AND AFTER SPENDING $15,000.00 AND DOING EVERYTHING BY THE BOOK, WE SURELY DIDN'T EXPECT A CELL PHONE CALL WITH NEWS LIKE THAT. AFTER I TALK TO THEM THOUGH, I WILL POST A REPLY.

That is terrible I am so sorry for you.
