Good Morning lady's....
Image Shantala... i know how you feel its hard giving up everything we like but its for something we will love so worth it...i was a coffee fiend triple shot starbucks lady but haven't drank coffee for over a year now and feel much better for it ...caffeine is really bad for our babies i still need to cut out tea I'm going to do that over the next month now so it will be just juice and water for a while i didn't cut out all caffeine for my last cycles and it didn't work so this last try I'm giving it everything....wish you luck and I'm sure one cup a day wont effect you at all.....ooo and i read that its really good for DH swimmers so of course they get to keep doing what they do LOL

Image Emma...Lara....Carolyn.... wishing you loads of luck today with your follow up we will be waiting to hear all about it....

Image Becleo...i hope your US goes smoothly and you feel well...I was so excited to read they are going to let you go ahead i know its fine to do those as long as its not in the stimming faze...thinking of you wishing you a clear scan...hugs

As for me well AF arrived with a bang (more of a gush but that's too graphic to say)...LOL..so I'm back on the ride looking like January start for me but that's fine. I'm all excited again now getting the PMA back...and your all wonderful i just know we are going to be a great family as we go through this and couldn't wish for better cycle buddies....please let me know if i miss anything on the list ...big hugs to all...

love Aunty

Hi Ladies,

aunty- So glade to hear that AF arrived and you are on track. Hopefully you and I will be starting around the same date! I would really like to have you and I get our BFP's together!

bec- Hope you scan goes well today. Email me when you can and let me know how you are doing!

Carolyn- My surgery is a day thing and I should be home that afternoon. I am so anxious to get this over and done with.

Mom- Sorry to hear about your job. I may be right along with you as I think my day is coming. I have been out a lot for surgeries, dr appts and pain that my vacation time is in the negitive and when I told them about my surgery next week the reaction was less than supportive. I know that they are trying to run a buisness but you figure that I work for a hospital that they would be concerned about their employees health. I am not stressing though, it is just not worth it!

I know that I have not been doing a good job keeping up with all the progress but I am going to read up tonight so you are all in store for a very large post when I get home from work.

Write to you then,
Erin

Hi Ladies

Back from nurses appointment.

Shantala - Like Bec I was a big coffee drinker and tea too. I drank up until my first round & gave up while down regging. This time I figured I'd try everything to help me get a (BF) P rather than an N so have not had a coffee or tea for the last 6 months. Oh tell a fib - I had a cuppa after my tubal surery as felt so sorry for myself!!!! I did get headaches at first when I stopped so may be best to wind down a bit gradually if you drink quite a lot.

Aunty - So glad that AF is here for you and you can at least start to plan your cycle. Love your ticker. I drink quite a lot of herbal tea as well as all the water and juice. Have you tried that? Just nice to have something warm, especially when chilly.

Erin - Nice to sleep in your own bed after the op. After the 2nd op had to stay in for a couple of nights. Missed dh and they would insist on waking me at 6am. It is so nice when at least you can recover at home with all your creature comforts around you. Like your attitude re-work. Sometimes their behaviour is just beyond belief. Like we would wish to be off for surgery/dr appointments etc etc

So nurses appointment was totally fine. Went on my own as only so much time dh can have off work. He went early yesterday and all his tests were fine. I seem to be our issue!! Appointment scheduled for 2 hours and lasted about 15mins as had all the paperwork done already and I had read all the stuff. Seems easier in terms of number of blood tests, scans and injections that the first protocol that I did. Hope this is not all too good to be true. Then spent 45 mins in pharmacy getting all the drugs. So I am all set. Don't even need a scan or blood work next week. As soon as AF is here then I can start injecting the next day & just need to let the clinic know and they will schedule my 1st scan. Feel much calmer than last time as at least I know what to expect and of course I have all of you for support!!!!! Well do now - probably be a quivering wreck by next week. Bring it on!!!!!!

Hope that Rachel and Em have good news too & Bec that the results of your scan are good.

Love to you all.

Well I've been reading these hilarious posts, and had to join in...Hello again, Aunty...As you may have read, my 1st ICSI/IVF was a complete flop...And I'll be hitting that big 3-5 in a couple of weeks, so I'm going to be really a positive one to add to the laughs. Totally being a smart arse. :)

But seriously, with the new year come new beginnings Image, so I'll be on the January Fertility Train with many of you. Toot toot!Image

Well, I had better get my bottom back to work, but thought I'd pop in and say hello...You should see the BFP's on the October Buddies thread...They're awesome! And such an inspiration.

I'll get a chance to read tonight, so will catch up on all your history on the thread, taking particular interest in the words of encouragement for weight loss and will write more later...I usually post long ones, so forgive if any get too long, in advance.:) Later Gators!

hi ladies just read pages 19-21 its amazing how much happens in a couple
of days.
Lara glad your feeling better glad you rang doc as you got a good result. im hoping to start treatment end Dec/Jan. Appointment seems ages away (11thDec)but im shure it ll come soon .

Shantala - Im a big coke lover to so i suppose its going to be bye bye to coke for me to tried to stop before but when im feeling down i tend to like drinking it must be the caffiene rush i get. But if it ll help to get that BFP here we go lol.

Aunty so glad you can finally get the ball rolling and start your plan for cycle i cant wait to get started just worried doc what doc will start as last time we seen him he told us to have a break for a year. Me personally i wanted to try IUI again as we dont have the money to pay for IVF. We had our first try free on the NHS. But doc said it would be better to give my body a rest. We tried IUI 4 times before IVF he said that there could be a risk of overian cancer from the clomid tabs.So now the year is here hoping he will say we can at least try IUI again

Carolyn - Glad you are feeling positive bout everything youll be fine if you keep thinking this way mind you i know its easier said than done

Im with everyone on the job front my last job was really off with me when i needed time off for hospital appointments and scans,
They made me redundant in Aug thats when i came into this job that has sacked me so i cant really take them to a tribunal as i havent been there long enough was still on trial so i cant do anything it sucks as how can i start trying for a baby when im out of work i mite not be able to support he/she. :x DH works but doesnt earn enough im not shure what gto do now

As for me, we made the call yesterday to get the home study process started!!! EEEKKKKKKKKK!!! They put our paperwork in the mail yesterday and I guess I will be spilling out my sorted lifestory this weekend! UGGG!! They said they will go as fast or as slow as we want and I want the home study over with and the rest of the process money will determine how fast that goes... but at least the home study is good for a year and according to JenJ it is very easy to update if you need to!! So Aunty get your Mask ready I might need it!!! LOL!!!!

Hey girls! Sorry to jump in. I've been reading your posts. I had a BFN on the Oct buddies thread and we are probably going to start again at the end of January when AF shows up. Anyway I've been keeping up with you and I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK!!!! Hopefully I'll be back after Christmas with the guts to start over! But I'm keeping up with you in the mean time because every BFP you all get gives me more confidence that it will happen for me!!

And to JECK- That is sooooo exciting. Please let us know how it goes! I know you will do great. I hope the process goes smoothly, you deserve it!

Charity, my octo. buddy... I'm pulling for you. Good luck and lots of baby dust. I'm glad to see you jumped back on the crazy fertility train!
Take care everyone!!
Jenn

Charity - Welcome to the thread. Sounds like you know a lot of the ladies already so you'll just fit in straight away! Look forward to getting to know you better and having a hoot along the way

Rachel - Really sorry that they want you to wait a bit longer before starting. At least it will give you a chance to really enjoy Xmas. But I also know how frustrating all the waiting is. Hopefully with Xmas to look forward to then things will pass quite quickly. Hope so. You are right about the meds - they do make it seem real again. I have put them in the spare room & the fridge. Just like last time. dh hates even looking at the needles - let alone the bruises!!! So I go to the spare room each morning to shoot myself up as we call it for a laugh!!

Jeck - very best of luck with the home study process. I don't know much about it but it is great that you are getting under way

Becleo - Glad that everything was cool with the scan for you. Yoga sounds great - does it help relieve the stress at all?

Becky - did you weigh in yesterday? Any more progress

Aunty - loving the baord even more! Hope that AF not being too rough and she will pass quickly for you

Mom - It makes me so mad that employers do this stuff to us. It is so bang out of order. And the last thing we need is additional stress on top of what we are already going through. Like we would be going to the hospital just for the hell of it!!!

Hugs to everyone. Thinking of you all. This thread is already such a help to me as I face up to climbing the hill again!!!

Lots of Love

Don't you love when people come over and they see all the meds in the fridge!!! ahh gotta love it!
Jeck - what is the home study??? if you don't mind me asking?

Jenn - hang in there, just remember the big picture! it will all be worth it once we all hold our bundles of joy! I am hopefully starting mt 5th cycle at the end of this month, keep on going, some days are harder, but everything worth while is worth fighting for right :) lots of hugs to you!

Carolyn- yes I love yoga, it has helped me learn how to breathe through all the fun stuff we all deal with while our legs are in stirrups! hehehe.
honestly, i am a busy body and it really helps me settle. there are some great dvds out there Rodney Lee is really good!

although i wouldn't recommend after a saline sono histograph because of a leakage issue EEEEEEEEEEEK!
too funny!

off to get my haircut
have a great night all!
