Calculating due date

Hi ladies

I know that babies will arrive when they are ready and we don't have much say in the matter ..BUT...has anyone had very different due dates given to them?

According to my last scan I am due 3rd April, the calender on this website says 9th April, my IVF clinic says 12th!

I know that in the long run it probably doesn't make much difference...although scans do need to be booked at certain times.......any thoughts anyone?

I have been given 2 different ones plus another from this website....
From the site I am due June the 4th, from my GP (I was not given nothing from the IVF clinic) i am due on the 13th and from the radiologist on the 7th! it is annoying, why cant they agree!

I also have the problems with the scans, because my GP gave me the dates accordingly to the due date being on the 13th. But I am abroad now, and the lady on the phone calculated differentlty and the dates for the scan have changed now! (so i know it is not a matter of days, it wont matter but still, not easy to follow)

For you, I hope the website is right! 9 th of April would be the best as it is my B'day too!!

The IVF clinic gave me 17 March and this site did too. If you calculate it from my last period then the date is 15 March. My hospital goes by your last period and as there was less than 5 days from the "dating scan" date (17 March) then they will stick with the last period date.

The majority of babies don't arrive on their due date anyway but it is nice to have a rough guide. I would go by your first scan date as at that stage you don't have "a big baby".

How confusing is all this!

I thought it was just me! My RE said 6/18 based on my ER date. My regular OB said 6/25 based on her sono. My perinatologist said 6/20 based on his sono.

I'm having twins, so I'll never make it to my due date anyway, but it would be nice to know what to tell people when they ask.
