Don't mind questions at all!!! Some of the ladies on here know my history, but for those who don't I have had miscarriages with both my IVF cycles and we have always considered adoption but wanted to do the IVF first and give it our all so we wouldn't have any what if's and so now we are currently looking into the adoption process. You have to have a homestudy in order to pursue adoption... It is a series of 3 interviews with 1 being in your home to see if you are suitable person to adopt... I have 8 frosties from my last IVF cycle but really need a break from it all and we thought we would go on and look into the adoption and if we want to do a FET cycle later, they are there when we are ready!

Hi ladies,

welcome to the new ladies - this is a great thread - the momentum is building and we are going to have some great results - I can just feel it.

Glad AF showed Aunty - now you can start planning. And thanks for keeping our superb list up to date. You are very meticulous!

And Carolyn - good luck with shooting up in the spare room!

Rachel - sorry you have to wait a bit longer but at least you won't have to be teetotal over Christmas.

Bec - glad your scan went well. I do yoga too - I love it - every Sunday morning - DH has started coming too and then we pig out on brunch aftewards. :) I really feel it gets the blood circulating - got to be a good thing and often there are preggy ladies in the class too and the teacher is really good with them. Hopefully that will be me soon!

Hi to everyone else.

Hey everyone!

I received a letter through the post today from the Clinic and it started off with:

"We regret that, due to unforeseen circumstances it has been found necessary to cancel your appointment for the 4th December"....so I thought great! I then turned the page to read that it has been rescheduled for the 13th November! That's Monday! Oh my god, I'm so excited!!!! So Aunty could you please change me on the list????

Carolyn - I'm so glad you get headaches too when you give up caffeine. I had a terrible one the other day (my first day of giving it up) so I've decided to keep one in the morning, partly to get me going but partly because of this. I'm sure one cuppa won't hurt! I guess due to my change of plans we might actually cycle together now then? Although I'm not quite sure what their procedure is yet...but maybe!

Charity - welcome!! it seems you know many here so great!!

Rachel - sorry to hear you can't start earlier. i actually felt guilty getting my appointment moved forward! but at least you dont have to worry about the treatment quite as much over new year. i will so dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing. if its a BFP, no, WHEN it's a BFP then great!! but if its not then i'll have a c*** new year. but there you go. chin up though and when it's your time we'll all be here!!!

Mom - no coke, gggrrr. but we can do this! i'd even give up chinese for this!! (dont tell DH i said this!! lol) BFPs, HERE WE COME!!!! :) so sorry to hear you haven't been at the job long enough to do anything about this mess. and i wouldnt worry about the money sided to support the baby/babies. my DH is on a low income and i'm still a part-time student so god knows how we'll manage. but as long as we save a bit and watch what we spend we'll have money spare. it's not easy but then i think nobody ever has enough money for children!!! and if need be, i would do anything and any job to support them once they're or it's here. i'm sure you'll be the same!!

jeck - welcome!! i have seen you on many other boards. i think it's great that you've started with the adoption process. it's very similar here in the UK as i've looked into it. the way i see it is that if a woman is meant to adopt then it's meant to be. there are so many lonely children out there who long for a mum like we long for a baby so i think it's great that you can give them that love. certainly, if it doesnt work for us, we'll be seriously considering it. let us know how you get on with the home visit.

becleo - last but definitely not least! how are you, hun?? i'm so pleased that the scan went ok and there is nothing wrong. i've told you before, BFPs here we come!!!! how's your hair?? i'm having mine done tomorrow.

take care guys...hugs to you all!!!

1st off _ SHANTALA don't you dare leave. if you do I will hunt you down heheheh! I can't speak for the others but honestly at any moment any one of our cycles could change and for me atleast knowing I have you girls here keeps me going! so please stay and hang with us!!!!!
ps the hair is very pretty, went a bit red this time!

JECK_ thanks so much for the info, adoption is an amazing thing, i wish you all the best, we too have had to discuss it. we are actually using Donor Sperm because when DH was diagnosed with testicular cancer none of the sperms were viable, the disease was that bad. we had to go thru testing just to be able to get the donor sperm, I can only imagine how much more a home study is! GOOD LUCK!!

Mom- how are you doing! hugs!

Aunty, in some weird way I don't mind people seeing the drugs just because I thinkit takes a strong woman to go thru what we all go thru, and I eat so much friggin salad there wasn't room hehehehehe.

Angie- hi my fellow OM friend! been trying to get DH to go to yoga, or as he calls it my stretchy class. although if he went i think i might pee myself laughing, not quite what you call the sensitive type of guy. love him with all my heart though. mmmm brunch. now that sounds like a great idea! do you do yoga during your 2ww? I have been afraid to in the past, but really miss the class any pointers?

Carolyn how is your week going? ready to start shots? if all goes well I should be starting in 2 weeks myself! not too far behind you!

Erin not much longer to your Lap huh!!! how are you doing?

alright back to work!!!
love bec

Hi Everyone.

ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL SURGERY!!! I can not wait, I have been in so much pain the last couple of days I just cant take it. Things have been OK for me. Had my review yesterday at work that went awful, but expected. They said that I need to be more mature and even though things are rough in my personal life I need to keep it seperate. I thought I was but I guess not. So I got no raise and all of these new expectations. I think they are trying to either get me to leave or have a reason to let me go. I dont care though my health and family is more importnant than a job,

Bec- How are you? Red hair, that is great. I love to make a change in my appearance every once and a while. It makes you feel good.

Aunty- How are you? Is the wicked witch on her way out or what?

Shantala- I would not want you to go to another thread, but you need to do what is best for you. I was in the NOV GIRLS as I thought I would be starting in NOV, they are all so sweet and supportive, but when I found out things were being pushed back I needed to change for myself. It was hard seeing them all make wonderful progress and me just standing still. I still check in on them but I find it easier for me to relate to people on my same page.

lara- I am so glade you are feeling better and put a positive spin on things. Sometimes that is really hard to do.

Mom- How are you?

OK back to work for me or I wont meet "expectations" HAHA

Erin

good afternoon ladies
Shantala im with everyone else dont you dare leave your appointment isnt till mon so you propbably wont start til end nov beginig of Dec anyway so you will still be in the Dec thread You are right about the finacial side though we will manage sum how.
Fed - i agree your health and future baby is more important than any job. There will be other jobs and you need to be healthy and happy with your self to be able to work your best. Which means going into hospital and having this operation. So you are pain free and able to work. Employers seem to forget that we are human not robots we do get sick and have emotional problems ok yes some more than others but thats why we are all different
Lara -Im glad your feeling better about things.i did IVF at xmas last year my test date waz 29th dec wich is my bday well you can imagin how felt i didnt want to test on my bday AF came boxing day so didnt need to but the whole process was horrible . I was really poorly after egg tranfer ended up in hospital 1 wk before xmas never again at that time of year. So you are propbably better waiting till after xmas anyway less stressful. Ispeaically if your cooking .

As for me been job hunting i have applied for a few jobs just waiting to here from them fingers and toes crossed lol
I recieved letter from employer about appeal today bit stressed as i requested for my dad to be with me. The letter says no family members are allowed only former colleagues or a member of a trade union. Well im not in any union and dont really know anyone from work who i could ask wasnt there long enough to get to know anyone. So it looks like im going myself which i dont really want to do. Any idea ladies as im stuck !

Frozen embryo transfer

Post by ssalgado »

hello there!!

Thanks auntypebbles i found the thread!!

My name is Susette and i spend 10yrs looking for my little miracle!! and God made that happened to me on 2003 after a 1st cyle of IVF - ICSI on November 12/03 i found out i was PREGNANT!!!! the most Exciting NEWS in my whole life , my baby came to our life at 39 weeks on July 16/04 it was great !!!!

We have an embryo frozen for the past 2 yrs now and we are doing transfer possible Dec or JAn depending on results i already on treatment taking pre-natal and glucophage(clomid) i do have PCO and that is the reason why of my Infertility.

I do have my worries about the process called thaw which is the "defreeze" of the embryo also i heard there is about 30% chance of pregnancy and live birth with frozen embryos, if this doesn't work we will have to do a full cycle ... Has anyone got any frozen embryo transfer with success pregnancy and live birth!!

Please very worry on not having success this time i was VERY VERY LUCKY on my baby boy on the 1st cycle we made !!!!

Please any advise or words of calm !!
