morning

Post by kdc2006 »

morning ladies......

vita...i hope you are well.... im the same as you... lots of tightning.... which is braxton hicks... after a minute i feel ok again...when it happens i have to stand up and rock my hips from side to side.... the elevations you describe, i get that also, but i think its the babies turning and as they do so the lungs get a bit compressed which is why we are breathless... well thats my assumption... ... twin 1 for me is more active than twin 2... good luck on your glucose test....i have mine the end of next week... then a scan afterwards with the consultant....darren wont be at that appointment.... so i will beg with the Dr to tell me what flavour the babies are... take care..xxxx

jo.... my brain is a bit like yours.... infact i'd say my brain is scrambled egg :!: .... yesterday afternoon i fancied a milky coffee so went to the fridge and realised there was no milk.... so that was that..... i prepared dinner for myself and darren and sent him a text to get milk on his way home from work...when he came home he put the milk in the fridge and went into the cupboard for a glass and there was the 'lost milk' ... i must of put it in there when i got a bowl out for cereal that morning.... doh!!! ive done other silly stuff.... but wont go into detail!!!!....
what are men like?...the cheek to call women names when pregnant... after all...we do have an excuse  ... and as women.... we wont forget the remarks.... vengence smells sweet :P

justine... to hell with work!!!! finish now and become a lady of lesuire!!! you deserve it.... im finished work...well my doctor signed me off for a while becasue of back pain... my maternity leave would start soon anyway and my boss said he is happy for me to still stick with the arrangement.... he is a sweet man!!!!... glad your feeling a bit better....

zoe... all systems go for you my love.... hope that hospital bag is packed! when you finish work(2 days now) make sure you rest for your final few weeks.... keep in touch. x

hayley....heather.... abbie.....hope you girls are doing ok....

not much has changed for me.... still suffering with the back pain... even bending down to fill the dishwasher or walking the hoover is sore on the back.... i will be glad when the new sofas arrive.... sitting on the one we have at the moment is no good in pregnancy....you sink into it so therefore no stability for the back.... the new sofas are sturdy leather ones .... black leather  ...
i have my glucose test nest week... they will find my vains no problem... they stick out like a sore thumb.... infact they look like blue worms....lol. ive never had blood work done since week 12... will they be doing them again?.....
i have an appointment for my own doctor tomorrow...just the normal checks.... i will be telling him about the tingling and pain in my hands and wrists.... its got worse.... as for my back, there is nothing they can do... last time he said my back will be like that until ive given birth... also the swelling in my feet and ankles has increased..... and my weight....well i know ive put on some more....

right i best go and do a bit of housework....
love to all...

Hello, loverly bumpy friends,

Just popping on quickly...

Kareen - thanks girlie for the words. Braxton Hicks are good - supposed to be a sign of a good labour as your body is preparing - I was awre of them VERY early with Sam (in the 2nd trimester) and look how quick I ended up  Probably means nothing, but it's a good thought to hold on to! And talking of scrambled brains...I put 2 lines on the lottery tonight - both the same    What a complete muppet... I like your thoughts on the plan for the scan (hey, I'm a poet!) but if you find out - will you be able to not let slip

Justine - Glad you sound like you're on the road to recovery. Your boss sounds such a sweetie - and never mind my few days - by the sounds of it, you've not much more  Just take it easy and finish when you need to. We only get 12 weeks full pay, 12 weeks stat mat pay, then 26 weeks nothing if we want. I'm the main salary as Steve is self employed and it's feast or faminine so can't really rely on that... Anyway, because of this miracle, we had the money saved for IVF and have managed to put away two thirds again, so my plan if we can make ends meet is to officially start back mid June so I can get full pay again, take my accrued days, and actually go back for only two days before the summer holidays which are 7 weeks - so essentially I'm not planning to go back properlyuntil mid August. Absolutley the BEST time to have gotten pregnant!!!!! What about you???

Hayley - well done on finishing the shopping. Try and take it easy with your back - hot water bottles?

I was at the 'labour' antenatal class today. They're a mad bunch there and we had a few laughs. It's amazing how much you DON't remember. Think I've decided on a water bath if I can get one - think it'll be best for the position I need - OMG, can't even believe it's that close...

TWO days left of work - hope you're all counting down with me.

Unfortunately there's a biggie parents evening tomorrow, so I'm gonna be in from about 8am-9pm - not worth coming home in between :( I'll have to aim to talk fast... hee-hee.

Hope everyone else is good and taking it easy....

Kareen: I sure hope that you can find out the sex of your babies at your next appointment. I hope your doctor's appt. goes well. Your milk story made me laugh. What is it about pregnancy that makes us do these silly things?

Jo: I know what you mean about pregnancy brain. I teach college mathematics and was just not with it last night. I would work problems on the board and just make careless errors. I gave my students a quiz and one student asked me to please not grade his quiz until the next day. I had to blame it on the pregnancy. I hope you get to feeling better.

Andrew's room (the nursery) did not have a closet for clothing, but DH built one for me. He finally finished it last weekend and now I have all of the little hangers hung, ready to hang his little clothing.

Vita: It is good to finally feel movement, but I would like it to be more so apparent that DH can feel it too. Good luck on your next scan. You are going to wait until after your babies are born to name them? I like the names that you have thus far.

Zoe: Lucky you with only 2 more days now! I have exactly 5 weeks left in this semester before we break for Christmas holidays. I am not teaching during the Spring semester, except 1or 2 online courses. With online courses, you can teach from home!!

Hayley: I hear you about the "goose getting fat". I feel huge, as my belly is already very large and I am only 5.5 months pregnant thus far.

Justine: I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better. It must have been a scare for you and DH.

Well, I'd better sign off for now.

Take care all,
Tammy

Kareen:
Glad to hear that your check-up when well. It is too bad about the blood in the urine. Will they deliver your babies early, since they are measuring on the large side?

Last night was the first night that I felt a lot of movement/kicking from Andrew. It was so neat. I had eaten some cookies and the little guy was kicking a lot.

Hello to everyone else.

hi tammy....

im so happy to read about andrew's movements...... they will only get stronger.... :)

my doctor seems to think the babies will be delivered early.... he said it was looking doubtful i would get near my due date.... 14.2.07... but i want to be left as long as possible for the babies sake....
i cant wait until my glucose test....im getting a growth scan that day aswell. im sure my consultant will be able to give me more details after the scan than what my own doctor can give me by just feeling my tummy!

next time andrew gives a little kick, pat the spot where he moved, see if you get a response!!! let me know

take care..

Hello,

Sorry I've not been on, having a rough time at the moment.

Jodie got her results, she still has reflux but only mild which is great as it probably means she doesn't need the op now. We go back to clinic on the 18th December to find out where we go from here. She has a nasty chest infection at the moment so although the tests show no reflux she still has the lung disease so we need to know what they are going to do about that. Thank you all for your kind messages and stuff.

I'm feeling really down. I've put on 6lb this week, that's 13lb in 2 weeks. The hospital say it's just the amount of insulin I'm taking and also the steriods so therefore nothing they can do but they are going to test my thyroid next week just in case. Because of all the extra weight I'm really struggling when I breathe, I'm so out of breath and lying down is a nightmare as I feel like my neck is going to suffocate me, I keep yanking it as it feels so tight. The doctor checked my breathing and said although it's heavy the airways are clear. I'm not even going to mention the back pain!

To think I still have such a long way to go. I really don't want to wish this pregnancy away, I want to enjoy it but I'm practially bed ridden as everything is a struggle. I got the hoover out earlier but by the time I plugged it in I had no energy left to do it! Paul is being great as he tells me to leave it all and he will do it but I feel so helpless and he works such long shifts all the time. Emma is great, she's always tidying up. The teenagers just leave the mess everywhere!

Ellie is really active so I know she's happy. I'm sorry to moan. One thing makes me happy though, when I come on and see our tickers, they always make me smile, we are all progressing so far now, to think the majority of you are nearly in the third trimester and Justine and Zoe are well into it!

Kareen I think Ellie will come on your due date! I've said from day one I bet I have the baby during the February half term. That will make me 36 weeks and I will be happy with that. Emma and Jodie were both at 35 weeks and I want to go a little further than that.

We have bloods on week 16 and then again at week 28 so I would have thought you should have some more taken.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with pregnancy brain!

Zoe how did your last day go? Don't overdo it next week being a lady of leisure, take some time out for yourself - if that's possible or just you and the little one, can't remember how old he (I think yours is a he) is. The signature doesn't show up once you've started typing!

Vita I hope the glucose test wasn't too painful for you. I'm so lucky with my veins, I was even asked to come in on student training day so they could practice on me - I think NOT!

I think you only need to worry if the braxton hicks continue for a while without going away. Especially for you Vita. How did the scan go? I remember when I was pregnant with Jodie I was measuring 54cm at 30 weeks and that was just one baby! You don't need any reasons for feeling awful and having sleep problems, you are incubating three littles ones in there!

Hayley glad you are doing well and have everything organised. I think I have everything I need now, just short of a few sheets for the cot but she won't be going in that straight away. I went round my friend's the other day, her little girl is 5 months old and she gave me bags of clothes so I don't need anything else for Ellie for a while.

Abbie, Heather, Riley, Jess etc I hope you are all well.

I can't stay on any long my back is killing me! Love to you all

Jo

Hello Ladies!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend thus far. I am still in my robe and pajamas, drinking coffee (1/2 decaf and 1/2 caf). I am 24 weeks today!!! Andrew is considered officially "viable". We will all be into our 3rd trimester before we know it.

Jo: Wonderful news on Jodie's results. I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. My face is more rounded now also and I know it is from the extra weight that I have gained. I'm trying not to worry about it, knowing that I can take it off once Andrew if born.

Justine: Yes, it seems that Andrew moves when I drink caffeine or eat sweets. I hope that your cold goes away. We have friends coming over for lunch today. My friend has a 6 month old daughter and I can't wait to see her.

Kareen: I have been trying to pat the spot where I think that Andrew's kicks are coming from, but have not gotten a response. Since these movements have just started coming a lot, I'm guessing that it will not be long before I can see his movement externally. That is wonderful that you felt one of your baby's feet. I can't wait to feel more definition. It is very special to know that there is a life inside of you and to be able to feel it move!

Vita: I hope that you are doing well.

Hello to Hayley, Zoe and Heather and anyone else that I may have missed.

Take care all,
Tammy
