Aimee- I agree w/ cowgirl on this one. There are many factors that play into this. I just want you to know that you'll be in my thoughts and prayers all weekend long for a healthy & happy scan on Monday. Please keep us posted as soon as you can... I'll be on pins and needles for you until then.

Aimee, I surely know how you feel. I was 6w2d when I doctor did the last scan and we cannot see hb for all the 3 beanies. I was terribly worried ... my doctor said it's normal, but I just couldn't stop worrying. I will go for the next scan next Thu when I will be 7w1d ... keeping all my fingers and toes crossed!! We have to see at least 1 or 2 beanies with hb ...
Since you have the blood test again that shows very promising number, everything should be OK for you. Please keep us posted.

Good News and Bad News
Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had my second scan this morning (at 6w & 6d) and it looks like that one of my beanies did not make it. The Dr. said that there is no sign of the second sac anymore and that my body must have reabsorbed it. But the good news is the other Beannie is doing great and we saw and heard the heartbeat. My Dr. said that this happens oftens and that most women are unaware of it because they usually do not have their first scan until now. While I am sad, I know that this means that it was just not meant to be and I am thrilled that the other one is doing well. They released me to my OB/GYN and I have an appointment for this Wednesday. Please say a prayer that my other beannie does well.

Just got back from my scan and we saw TWO BEANIES! Although we knew it was a strong possibility, it's just not real until you actually see them on the screen.
At first the tech saw just the one, which measured appropriately and had a heartbeat at 170. She had us convinced there was just the one and I actually felt a little relieved. Then she moved the thing and said very calmly, "Oh, there is another one"....and all I could do was gasp out loud and then start crying.
The second one is measuring appropriately as well and had a heartbeat of 156. DH actually took a recording with my cellphone of the screen where you can see both hearts beating.
DH is so excited and I'm just happy that they have healthy heartbeats and measurements and all is well for now. I am still dealing with constant morning sickness, but now we know why it's been so bad and so early.

Nance - I am soveery glad to hear that all is well with one of your beanies. I sent a prayer for your other lost angel. I hope you enjoy the next months to come. I too have an appointment with my OB/GYN this Thursday. I am so very excited about this because it means we have finally reached another milestone!
