Tonia - so sorry (((hugs))) Did your RE say maybe what went wrong?

Stims are going well, no symptoms/reactions. I take my last stim tonight, see RE in the am for scan to see how the follies are doing.

Thanksgiving? This year I'll be taking it easy at home since I'll be having EC on Tues and ET on Fri. I do love to cook though. I will probably cook a small dinner on Thursday for my DH and DD, 3 cats and 2 dogs... :)

Dawn, welcome and good luck with your 2ww.

Tonia, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Take it easy and try to do something special for yourself. I know it's hard, hopefully there will be a next time. (((hugs)))

Casy, congrats on the trigger shot. Good Luck with ER!

Sarah, I think doing HPTs are my hobby for the next few days. Come to think of it, I really have no idea how good these tests are. I got them online and they we're only .92 cents each. It says they can detect HCG as early as 7 to 10 days, but I don't know if I believe it. Well, I'm just going to make a game of it. The only test I can trust is the BT on Sunday. I have a crochet project too. Guess what its is...... a BABY blanket! Can everyone say "baby on the brain"! Image

Sassynlv, yes, I think you are in good hands. I will cheer for you all the way. :) Maybe you're the reason Dr Shapiro is going on vacation. The last time I saw him he looked like he needed one. I don't know if he ever takes a day off. I have seen him there on all days of the week at times. I'm pretty sure they are both there everyday when it comes to ER-ET weeks.

Hello Girls
Thanks for all the welcome messages.
I am also crocheting baby blankets - presents for two of my friends. The only point is my mind is still working overtime when I crochet.

I can't take this 2ww. My pregnancy test is the 21st. I am dreading the day. My parents a coming from out of town for thanksgiving. I really don't want to ruin the holidays for everyone. I am trying not to analyze every pain I have or don't have. Hang in there ladies. Man this is so hard. I had no idea.I refuse to take a HPT never had any luck with those. Even if the blood test says I am pregnant I will never take one.

Tonia I am so sorry.

Kristin, does your family know about your IVF? I debated on telling my family but I decided to confide in my aunt (my best friend) and my mom. No one else knows. My problem is, my cousins are going to ask why I'm not at Thanksgiving dinner. I guess I'll be "under the weather".... ;)

Did anyone else decide not to tell your family about doing IVF?

Tonia - So sorry to hear - I wish you the best in your next steps, whatever those may be. Take care of yourself.

Mia - I saw your post about the evil    pee sticks....I'm about a neurotic as you are with those darn things and have done hpt's with both of my cycles. You know the pro's and con's, so by no means can I say 'don't do it'....but, please be sure you take the results with a mountain (not just a grain) of salt! Early tests can be false negatives - on my first cycle I never got my bfp until 11 dp 3 day transfer - which was the same day of my 2nd beta. So, basically, I drove myself koo koo for a week for no reason. I'm rooting for you -- all pma from here on out girl! Thanks for the cool list updates - you do a great job.

Good luck to everyone else!

Tonia: I am SO SAD for you. After no viable embies w/ 1st IVF, to "celebrate", I did all the things that i couldn't do during cycle or pregnancy i.e., sushi, scuba diving, working out REALLY hard, etc. It may sound strange, but making a list actually helped me through it. You are in my thoughts.

Jovigal: You asked about telling family/friends. 1st IVF i told all sorts of people (I have been told it was a classic "first IVFer mistake'), then when no embies for ET, i had to go through the disappointment over and over as i told people. It was torture. This time we told no one until after the ER (then just a few). It is much better for me this way--nice to have a few supporters, but it won't take me hours to comfort people if there is bad news.

All you fellow 2ww'ers--- VERY excited for all of you...I am feeling lots of good news coming on. I would tell you to stay away from the  HPT-- but that would be hypocritical...in your places i would probably do the same  .
6 fresh IVFs plus one cancelation

Jovigal, I told a couple of people between family and friends. After only having one healthy embryo to transfer after PGD I wish I had not told a sole. I was excited at first because I was optimistic and excited. I even had 25 eggs after my transfer. 13 fertilized but only 1 was transferable. My chances decreased and now I wish I had just communicated with the board. My transfer was today. My doctor wants to see me back in a week. I wonder why because you ladies always mention the 2ww. He said he may see something in as little as a week.

Tonya - I am so sorry for your loss...it must hurt to feel this way. I don't even know what to say but if you were next to me I would give you a big hug! :(

Buddy 101 - Vicky and I are also on a 2ww and only one day earlier than you are, so joint the club. It is very hard for me to handle this as well. I am in the bathroom q5min to check if I have started my AF. Anyway, try to hang in there.

The hardest thing for me is to resist myself from going to a drug store to get some HCG testing strips. Its like a drug addiction. I keep on telling to myself that I can hold off and that I can do it. Patience is golden and rewarded at the end. But sometimes this self talk is not so powerful and makes me want to go and purchase the test anyway. I held off today. So I have four more days to fight this. One day at a time.

Does anyone knows the answer to this question - do progesterone shots and estrogen pills stop your period? so while you are on them you will not have your cycle?

Anyaf,

I do not get my period why I am on the progesterone shots. Once I stop all meds when it has been BFN, I then get my period a week or so later. Hope this helps.
