Hi Ladies,

Ive just called the clinic as we hadnt heard anything from them all day, but they say that the meeting STILL hasnt taken place, and that someone will ring me tomorrow and let me know when it will take place, or even if it has -what the decision was. I have a horrible feeling that either its taken place, and they have forgotten to discuss our concerns :x or its not gonna take place for another while yet  - which means we are left in limbo on our decision :? :x

For all u ladies who aint got a clue what im talking about, let me explain what our concerns are:

Our clinic only freezes grade 1 embryos no matter how well they have divided, DH and i are concerned that should we go ahead and have another ivf course, that they are not prepared to freeze all of our embryos. Our argument is that if we have some good viable embryos divided at 6/8 or 16 cells, but are of a grade 2, they will dispose of them, but yet, if we only had 2 embryos at that grading, they would put them back, and i would have a very good chance of having a BFP. So, why cant we freeze these embryo's - we understand that sometimes some embryos perish during the thaw and are not strong enuff , but some might - and they will never know unless they try - why arnet we allowed to take that chance. They are our embryos = our choice. Our money = our decision! I cant let good viable embryos be disposed of because the clinic have graded them at a 2, when i know of many BFP's that have happened with grade 3's.
This has always played on our minds, and so the last treatment i had, we managed to get 12 eggs, but only fertalized 2, because we couldnt dispose of any other embryos that didnt make the grade. Yes, it was a risk that we took, we were lucky that our eggs fertalized, but when they were put back, they had only divided into 2cell - when they should have been at a 4/8.
So our decision is they either freeze them all for us, or we dont have no treatment  .... A hard decision i know, and a lot of women dont agree with it, but its what we feel is right for us.
We are at the moment having a hard time making a decision on what to do - i really cant tell u ladies yet what that decision is, when we come to it, i will let u know - as long as u dont kick me off the site if its a no no lol, i want to be able to watch all of u go on to have ur BFP's and share ur joy :D

No personal fors now - i hope everyone is well - im shattered, so tired all the time, i hate these early dark nights, i have no energy - i think ive got that SAD syndrome lol ... plus AF is due any day - hmmmmm that cud be it
Speak to u later ladies, Take Care

Becky Xxxx

Dear All

So sorry I have been missing for a few days. Just been v v busy trying to keep my mind off tmt and also trying to get loads of stuff done so that I don't have to run around like a mad woman during tmt!

I have pages to read. I promise that I will do that tomorrow as I have loads of time and am going to work from home.

Just wanted to wish Erin really well for her op - glad that you don't have to wait all day. For my tubal surgery I went in at 7.30am and did not go down until 3.30pm - it was mental!!!! Bec - so pleased that all was ok with the tests and that you get to start soon. Becky - so sorry that there is no info for you from the Board. It must be doing your head in. Stay strong hun.

AF just about started. Called clinic and so start shooting up tomorrow with the stimmies. 1st Folly Scan is 24th. A week tomorrow. Will alter my ticker to count down to that next!

Will post loads more tomorrow. Hope that you are all doing well. Almost the weekend now & that means XFactor for my UK pals. YIPPEEE

Love to you all.

Hello!

First Good Luck to all of those that are on the last lane to start with this Miracle process...

I just got word from my Dr that i can start as soon as this weekend start my estrogen pads on the beggining on next week as soon AF come (due to me on the Nuva Ring we can "control" the menstrual period, cheating :)) , well the thing is that i can be havng my emby transfer as soon as the 1st week of Dec we are trying to do this by the 7th due to my Boss goes on Vac and i am running the office from Dec 7 thru the 15 , the bad part is that after Dec 15 they are not doing any transfer till Jan 1st, which is why i want to do my only emby and PRAY for the BEST before then , buthave a few obstacle on the way like boss vac but hopefully will get it done by then, Another good feed back was that my nurse told me that my embryos last time were pretty strong so they are expecting a good response out of my lonely emby... I am thrill, nervous, don't know what to think i don't know how is going to be having 2 kids !!! oh my god!!!... i am excite it and scare of being a mommy of 2 ,, PLEASE PRAY SO MY EMBY CAN SURVIVE THE THAW AND STICK TO MOMMY...

Please some words!!!!!

Hello all

well, i'm still at work (on evening duty until 7) and my manager is sat opposite me with her back to me and hopefully she'll leave in a mo. i can still keep an eye on her though while i'm posting on here

bec - like i said, really pleased you can start so soon. can i ask why you were taking all these things to induce AF? it's just that i'm not sure what they are going to do with me as i'm not regular and am wondering whether they will "induce" mine too. they have a timetable on their website and it looks like if i start with my next AF (if it same time next month and i'm sure it wont be) then i wouldnt be starting the down reg injections till the 30th january :( and i'm so eager to just start now. but if they can induce them (especially as there is no guarantee AF will come back next month again) i'm thinking i might be able to start before???

Aunty - thanks for the photobucket info. i've had a look and it's so amazing to see everyone on there! and i've seen you now and welshgirl! :) not so impressed with the weight gaining though but then again it will all be worth it in the end!! :D i must confess that i haven't started the folic but i will make it a priority now that things are moving. the water is ok though, especially since i've given up the caffeine. also, quick question - whats baseline? as i've seen it on your ticker and on the list.

Jackie - glad to hear Carlton is better. :D and chin up through your 3 weeks. you'll be fine. just make sure you keep coming on here and that will keep you busy!

lara - glad one of your friend has calmed down a bit now. hugs :)

Jem - did I hear right? one of your embies is lost? what the ?? have you found out yet whats happened? so sorry and angry

Sully - I feel your anger about the AF. she showed up today and didnt she just! and you did make me giggle about your New years resolution. just rub it in!! hehe. no, on the one hand i think you should make the most of caffeine while you can (trust me!) but on the other hand, the sooner you start the better. (and i want you to be in pain too! only joking!)

Charity - really pleased that yours is going to be slightly less! it just takes the pressure off a bit, doesnt it. your post made me laugh!

Sanny - pleased to hear you can start soon! woohoo! :D

nimble - have a lovely weekend and you so deserve to be pampered. enjoy every minute of it!

Angie - good luck with your scan hunny and make sure you let us know how you get on. also, i would definitely go for 2 embies but whatever your gut instinct tells you! the doctors here are considering putting one emby back as i'm in my early 20s but they said they would discuss that more in detail with me at a later stage. i've discussed it with DH and my mum and we're all agreed on 2 - it's so much stress financially, emotionally and physically that i think 2 gives you more chance and therefore its less likely you have to go through it all again. i'm really scared of twins too but i'm already preparing myself mentally for twins!! and slowly i'm getting used to the idea that if its going to happen and its 2 then thats what it will be. its up to you though. xx

Becky - do let us know when you've had your call. good luck. all thinking of you. xx

carolyn - where are you and how are you?? how you feeling now you've changed jobs to a pin cushion?? (sorry, hope you dont mind me joking, thinking of you lots xx)

thats it for now

she's still sat with her back to me and i've finished ...hehe

So I press send and 3 more posts have been sent in the meantime!! haha

anyway, welshgirl - sorry to hear about that stupid board and i hate it when you get feelings that they may have forgotten. i'm sure they haven't and if they have we're going to bombard them with emails!!! hehe. no, i shouldnt joke, just trying to lift the mood. i know what its like not knowing whats going on, its very frustrating and if you're anything like me and havent got a plan then god help us! lets hope they'll call you tomorrow with good news. :D

carolyn - you are still alive then! glad you're doing ok and i cant believe x-factor soon again! yey! i'm so excited that you've started tmt! xx

ss - of course, the best of luck and lots of sticky dust!! what are your estrogen pads all about - do they bring on AF? as you may have seen, i've asked bec a similar question as i'm wondering whether they will induce mine as i'm so irregular due to the contraceptive injection that i was on for 5 years, whcih stopped AF completely.

Erin, I hope you are recooping nicely, love ya!

Rachel- how goes it! gotta love the time when you are getting so close to start :) trying not to think of it too much, I get my hopes up so high, which I guess means I really want to be a mom huh! hehehe. Just hope this xmas brings a great BFP? doesn't even have to be wrapped!

Angie- I am transferring 2 embies again this time, I would be totally pumped for twins, but whatever is meant to happen right. I wouldn't toss a coin, but I know for us we decided to try the conservative route for a bit, the succes rate is getting better and better. so it is a decision only you and your DH should really make. for me I can't put in any more than two, my brother has triplet girls and I have seen how hard it is to raise multiples, I love them with all my heart and I just know it is hard...

Shantala- yeah baby, things are picking up! how has your week been??
as far as regulating ovulation even if you have a regular cycle at my clinic, they have you go on the pill to have more "control" of your cycle. to get you at the base line to then screw with your hormones :) I would call the clinic to see if you should be on the pill? honestly it is a long process, or atleast it has been for me. and after my BFN it is usually a month and a half to two months until I can begin another round.. it depends on your doc and how they like to "control" a cycal. But call. the nurses should be able to let you know more of what to expect, better that a wesite too because they know you. you know what i mean???

Becky- ah I am sorry for the crap you are dealing with, I am thinking of you. let us know ok. I hope it all works out!!! here for you!

SS- ah lets hope AF works with you on this one, I really hope the time line stays on track! would love to do the 2ww with ya! Sucks how the most natural thing in the world (becoming parents) is such a stressful thing huh!!! you haven't done the FET before have you??? I did and it is not bad at all. so atleast your body won't be out of whack from shots and all. thinking good vibes for your answers! i pray so hard that the emby thaws and all is good. SO MUCH LOVE & baby thaw dust

Aunty.. you rock, the list is awesome. I do think the term down reg is odd. hehehe. but things are moving, hope you are having a good week!

to all a good night if I didn't get a chance to post!

hello!!

Shantala- i am in the Nuva Ring it is a contraceptive that you insert into your vagina and keep it in for 3 weeks on the 4th week you take it out and your period come down and on that week of bleeding sunday or monday you put another one in so pretty much you control your period so mine i will take it earlier because my Dr won't do transfer after Dec 15 , then i will have to wait to January 1st, that's how my period works , but i need to wait tomorrow to get the # for the pharmacy estrogen pads due to this meds are all via express mail from NY they do have their own medicine for REproductive Endocronology Dept. once i get confirm tomorrow hopefully with the pad and if they told me they will deliver on Monday yupee!!! here we go!! 18-20 days after my bleeding will be the transfer!!

bec- this is not my first transfer but it is my 1st frozen one, i had a transfer wehn we did the fresh cycle back on 2003 , the estrogen pads makes the liner get thicker so the emby can stick on and hold on!!!
so we are looking to remove the ring so my period can come down sometime this week or wknd get started with patches mon- tues as soon the pharmacy deliver and 18-20 days after transfer of my only emby that i hope that survive the thaw and strong enough to hold on to mommy very good for 9 months( hopefully is a girl)) :o

Ssalgado, I just can't stop thinking about it. Im afraid my DR mad because I didn't trust him. On other hand, I feel if they freeze emby #4 so I don't have to do fresh cycle. Much cheaper for me and also no Gonal. Gonal makes me very weak. I think I better make a peace with my clinic. I depend on them so much although Im feeling dissapointed now. Im praying your emby will survive.

Debz, thanks for green tea. Don't worry about water. I think Im overdose of it :D :D My 19 L Aqua gallon always finish on 2 1/2 days. I don't think my husband drink 1/2 of it :D :D

Bec, I don't have Splenda here. But I know artificial sweetener is not good. Zita also says. Your recipe looks yummy. I will try it soon. Need my dictionary to find the ingredient. Although Im not used to use fruit on soup. but I believe it is yummy

Tcbalgord, Welcome. This thread has been amazing. I believe in miracle. I believe God is a good father. He always answers my prayer, only this time He asked me to wait. All I need only PUSH (Pray Until Something Happened). Good luck on your cycle.

Charity, your post so lovely. Im praying for your BFP. You deserve it.

Anggie, Bec, Becky, Fed, Sanny n Caroline. God bless you in everything you do.

Sticky baby dust to all for all of you

Sorry....

Shantala n Ssalgado. I think I miss Ssalgado's post. Now, i know why they didn't freeze my emby #4. I think it is because only 5 cell, meanwhile Ssalgado's emby went to blastocyst. May be my DR thought it wasn't strong enough to freeze. (although Im still thinking they should explain to me about freezing procedure) Im so glad i decided to make peace with them :D :D

morning all, just a quick post before I dash to work.....

becky hun - so sorry that you didn't get any news yesterday, bloody boards, don't they know that your hanging on waiting for their decision.... i know its hard but just hang on in their hun.

carolyn - i'm so excited for you - good luck and hope all goes well with the first shot.

Erin - hope the op went well and your recovering nicely....

angie - just seen that your from melbourne - my sil lives there - she lives in St kilda...we were out there in jan and toying with the idea of going back out there for xmas. Personally, I would transfer as many as I could (which over here is max of 2) - i just feel that it gives you a better chance and increases your odds. I know the risks of multiple births but too be honest I would take those risks. I would so love twins and I agree with aunty, if it meant 9mnths in bed so be it - what bliss!! :D

Aunty - as usual your lists just beat everyones elses hands down..they are fab and it is so easy to see where everyone is...thank you for being our rock yet again. :D

Shantala - see you're just down the road from me - well actually the m4! I live in windlesham.

right must get to work, have to work late tonight so going in a little later to make up the time and then we are off for lovely weekend, shame the weather is so crap here!!

have a fab weekend everyone....enjoy xfactor, i'm going to miss it unfort...boohoo....

Advance warning - mega post coming up from me.

So have read since my last 'real' post and it has taken like an hour! WOW. So much going on

Aunty - first to you. The board is simply terrific. Plus the personal message - you are a sweetie. Such a superstar! I think that I am doing all you said as I so want to give it a better shot (HA ha) this time around. No booze since just after my BFN. No caffenine at all. 2 litres water a day. Vitamins incl. folic acid. Herbs for my AF as recommended by my acu. Fish, white meat and no red meat. Plus acu. Please tell me there is nothing that I missed

Mia - So hope that Sunday will be the day that your dreams come true. Big hugs

Becky - I am so sorry that the board have not told you their decision. You know that I believe that they should freeze them all. Who knows what might happen. I am with you all the way. You are not going anywhere lady! Hope that you may be able to get a super dress tomorrow in the right size.

SS - Terrific news for you. You are starting so soon. I feel so much better when I have a plan.

Charity - I am dying my hair on Sunday and then not again! Great news on your insurance. Go girl!!!

Angie - You are getting so close to your snow babies coming home. Grow lining - grow. Hope spots clear but who cares when you get your BFP! Thanks for cheering me on. Have to say that I am a 2 back lady, especially given my age. But I would be thrilled with twins. 2 for the price of 1!!! Everyone has to make their own calls. Go with your gut instinct hun.

Babyblue - Welcome - you are in the right place if you can keep up with everyone! I am with the other girls - no diet pills. Not sure what they do to you. Plenty of time to lose the weight later. Sorry about the loss of Ester and the frogs. Thanks for all info on hair colouring. I am going to do Sunday and then not again!

Christine - Welcome - this board is so fab. What Charity said was beautiful. But I am so practical and analytical. I know at my age odds are only 20% per attempt so we said that I would have 5 tries. We made the call up front. I was gutted when attempt 1 failed but knew straight away that I'd go again. That helped me to deal with the loss. I have to have a plan. Guess it is different for each of us.

Sanny - Welcome along for the ride! It is great that you have a plan and will be starting so soon. It helps me so much to have a plan!

Rachel - try not to worry too much about your friends. Think of you and getting your little one - that is what is important now. Sometimes people are so clueless. Hope AF not too rough on you. Thanks for youtr support sweetie

Mom - Same for you hun. IVF and job loss are v stressful and makes me think that it is in these situs that you find out who your real friends are. How silly of her not to give you a copy of the contract. Truely believe that what goes around comes around. You'll get good stuff soon. Honest

Jackie - You are doing so well on giving up the alcolhol and the fags. You can do the coffee too. I have to walk past Starbucks on the opposite side of the road to stop me walking in. I was a 12 cups a day lady. You can do it but come off slowly if you drink a lot as I got such bad headaches. Glad Carlton sounds so much better. You must be well chuffed

Kdc - twins. How cool for you. Take good care

Nimble - Enjoy the pampering. I am doing the same with a good mate tomorrow. Cannot drink, eat what I like - what can I do. Get a massage, facial etc. It will be such a treat and we can have a good gas too. My excuse is that it will relax me at the start of tmt  Enjoy!

Jemma - I have been trying to lose weight ahead of cycle but not done as well as I wanted. Afraid that tmt and drugs do not help us in that regard at all - do they?

Erin - Really hope that op went well and that everyone is taking good care of you

Bec - Terrific news on all your tests. You are v close to the shots. I know what you mean about getting excited about shooting up! It is mental isn;t it!!???

Now the X Factor bit so please ignore if you are outside UK or don't like

Sully - welcome hun. You posted it ages ago but are so right about X Factor last week. Clearly Simon did to give Leona the best chance. May be Ray will be out tomorrow especially if he does swing again!

Shantala - Dog racing sounds fun. My dh knows that I'll not go out on Sat evening as I so love staying in for XFactor!! Pin cushion - made me lol!!!! Not quite yet but I'll soon be there. Hope that your letter comes soon hun

Becky - agree with you that Sharon was drunk and drove me mad last week. Will be watching itv2 this evening to check out theme and songs although will be watching children in need also.

Sorry Kareen but Scots boys have to go. They drive me as mad as Simon. I fear that it could well be little Ray or Robert though this week unless they do something amazing. Caannot wait.

So tomorrow have spa 1/2 day then XFactor. I shall be in heaven.

Sorry if I missed anyone out. Big hugs to you.

So I have started. YIPPEEE. It was a total breeze. Felt like an old hand!!! Prepared the stimmie pen last night & left in fridge. Set everything out in spare (injection) room so dh does not have to watch. I know that my tummy works best and which spots bruised least so I was well away. I must be less stressed than last time when I was in crazy stressful job, drinking and not having the first clue about what it would all be like. I feel so calm. Last time by now I had already had 18 down reg injections by this point & was running out of free spots. Hoping that I can stay calm. My acu man felt I was a little hyper on Tuesday and he stuck a needle in my head to calm me down. A bit weird but seems to have done something for me. Go again to see him on Tuesday.

So have great weekends everyone.
