Sassynlv sending you a big hug. This whole process is so unfair.
Angellica sorry you didn't have a good day. But you have been going through so much lately so don't beat yourself up. Glad that you are having a better day today. :D
Beach baby glad to hear you are feeling better today. It is such a difficult time you have been through. Hope you get to start your cycle after Christmas. Thanks for the support :)
Jovigal- I will be praying your follies grow grow grow
Vicky i am so happy for you looking forward to hearing your numbers on monday.
Wannababy hope all is well on Monday. We all panic at times but it is best to get in touch with RE when we are unsure of anything. When i first had ET i had pain in my ovaries when i coughed or sneezed but it has eased. When you think about how our ovaries have been stimulated its not surprising that it is uncomfortable. Hope its not to bad though.

Vicky - congratulations!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D A bfp on a hpt at this point is a bfp - so you've done it! Woo hoo!

Mia - You're next!

Jovi - Hang in there to the next scan - as many have said, a lot can happen after cd 9 - you have time. Try to keep your positive thoughts if you can.

Wannababy - I posted to you on the other thread....but overall I'd say you're fine so try not to worry and get some rest if you can this weekend. Also, I have always felt some pressure when I coughed after ET - I think it's best to try to avoid coughing too much if you can. Are you officially 'free' from bed rest now?

So the RE visit was pretty good. Got my 3rd scan and this time it showed 7 follies on one side and 4 on the other (but one was probably too small.) So, it looks like I'm at about 10 follies in total. The 10 were really big though - all were over 17 mm and some were even 21-22 mm. Can follies be too big? The uterine lining, he was shocked to find, was 18 mm. I've never had > 12 mm with either of the two others. I bet it's all the acupuncture & I'm thinking it's all positive news.

Are some of you dealing with a conflict with a thanksgiving ET? My RE said we'd probably do it on Friday (4 day transfer) but we asked whether we're compromising our cycle by doing a 4-day vs. 3-day transfer. RE said, "If for any reason I think you'd be better off doing a 3-day transfer, I'll be here and do your transfer on Thanksgiving - I would never let a holiday get in the way of your success." Wow - we were pretty shocked but felt soooo much better. But, needless to say I'm good to go for HCG tonight and ER is Monday morning! I'm really excited!

Vicky - that is fabulous news - you must be tickled pink. Bet you cant stop smiling. Looking forward to hearing the official numbers on Monday.

Mia - thinking of you tomorrow - fingers and toes crossed - good luck!

Gbnut - you have the patience of a saint. But the clinic is obviously confident - hang in there I am hoping things turn soon.

Jovigal - hoping that those follie numbers go up for you. Have they increased your meds?

Suzhan - good luck with the ER and ET - 10 sounds like a good number, and it must be reassuring that your clinic is ready to put aside the turkey if needed.

Wannababy- I dont feel any discomfort in my pelvis but I panic (like SannyinLV) when I sneeze, laugh and cough. I found myself cracking up the other night then grabbing my tummy hoping I hadnt blown the little guys out! Kinda destroys the fun moment.

Vicky--congrats!!! I'm so excited for you.

Sorry for everyone who got BFN's :(

Suzhan, I know exactly how you feel!!! You and I are on the same schedule. I go for ER on Monday and my RE said this morning that it would probably be a 4day transfer on Friday (due to Thanksgiving). I was concerned too because all along they said they generally do 3 days transfers..does anyone know if a 4-day is bad?? I've only heard of 3 or 5-day transfers. They also found 22 follicles on my scan today, my lining was 15 mm, but some follicles were 25-27 mm!!! Isn't that too big??? Does anyone have any info about this?? I always thought 20mm was about what they want.>

Thanks for your help!!

Hi Cindy - we're cycle buddies, it sounds like. I'm in Southern California - I go to Pacific Reproductive in Torrance - Dr. Salem.

I'm wondering the same thing about my follie size (mine were mostly between 18-21 mm)- I'm fearing they're too big because they'll grow more with the hcg shot. But oh well, nothing I can do about it but pray that I get good eggies this time. I really don't know if there's a 'too big'.

My RE didn't seem to think a day-4 was really problematic, but we really wanted the reassurance that if we needed to do the day-3 that they would do it.

Good luck and keep in touch!

awwww, sniff, thanks everyone for the BFP wishes. I am very hopeful that I am BFP. I am bracing myself for some dreadful news though. Really just trying to keep my mind off of the "test". I think I'll try to work a little bit in the yard today. I broke down last night. Just watching TV and a diaper commercial came on. I was like wahhhh, I want to buy diapers, wahhhh! ImageRidiculous huh? I'm such a baby! Even my sweet little doggie came out of his bed to check on me.

sassynlv,
Good for you, celebrating with sushi, it's perfect. Sushi sounds great right now. yum!
BTW, when you copy/paste the codes for the smillies, you'll need to change the part that says IMAGE to IMG, for it to work. Have fun.

beachbaby,
good to know you have totcicles waiting. FET is so much easier and you odds should be much better.

cheekymonky,
sorry about your back. It's very nice that you check in with us when you can. It's always good to hear from you. I think the acu treatment can help alot. If anything it should help you feel very relaxed. Don't be too shocked since you've never done it before. It's a very strange experience at first. You will have a bunch of tiny needles stuck in various places and you must lay very still for about 30 min. Some people are relaxed, but everytime I do it I can't wait for it to be over. Just lay still and breath deep and slow. you do feel good afterwards.

angellica,
good to see you hanging in there nice and strong. I know it's hard. You're doing a great job. Always thinking of you!

Suzhan,
I can't believe your going to ER already! time flies! I'm rooting for you , good luck.

Gosh, I am sooooooo dizzy from these prometrium pills! I called my clinic to see if they would reduce my dose, but no doing. Image I guess I could take it as a good sign. I don't know if I'll be able to doing anything today but lay in bed.

whaaa?? Our pcosgirl got a BFP? why didn't she tell us? Are you there pcosgirl? Congrats on your BFP!! I would like to add you to our BFP list, but I need you to confirm that it is you. I hope it is!!

Sassynlv - AH means Assisted Hatching its where they they break the outer layer of the embryos so they stand more of a chance of staying put!! there is no medical reason for having this apart from the repeated failures, it is apparently usually only done on older womens eggs but I believe every little helps!! and for £600 more if it helps its worth it!!

Cheekymonkey - Glad you seem to be doing well, I enquired about acu before ER and the 3 therapists I spoke to said it was too late for me to start as the fertility programme take months to kick in, I found this quite odd thats why I rang 3 but they were all in agreement with each other. I can understand if someone is completely unhealed as they probably work on a ripple effect method like myself, dealing with the energies of the body, I am pretty healed in my line of work but they all said no! if you hear any different then let me know! GOOD LUCK! and I am so glad to have you back x

Sarah - I have been saying all week if I get a BFN it will be through laughing as even though we have had a rotten 2 weeks I genuinelly haven't stopped laughing! my BIL has been down from Manchester and we have laughed so much..he is here now still making me laugh so if that is the case.....its all over!!!

HopefulinLV - Good luck, I am thinking of you, I pray its a BFP, I have everything crossed for you!!!

I am still positive but am getting very impatient waiting for this test day, I (and the family) so need some good news!!!! my little sister had her 1st scan this week and I have had all the details, length, due dates etc.....I am grinning and aahhing at the appropriate times but it is stomach churning....

Everyone I have forgotten hope you are all good.

Thoughts, babbie dust and prayers going out to all of you!!!

Cindy      I just got back from my pre-ER acu appointment and saw your post.

I can't believe we're at the same clinic - and have the same ER / ET dates! That is such a coincidence. You're right, we probably were in there today at the same time - my appointment was at 745. I guess there's a bunch of us for ER on Monday, or so the nurse told me. I was at the end, so I'm late in the morning.

Well - I'm sure Dr. Salem's comments to us would hold for you too - meaning that if you need to have the transfer on Thursday, he'll postpone his turkey a bit.

Good luck! We'll have to compare some notes....
