I'm new here & just wanted to say "Hi"

Post by mommasoon »

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, but have been reading posts for quite a whille. My infertility history is long so I will try to condense it and give the short version. Seven years ago my DH & I had a tubal pregnancy (VERY painful - physically & emotionally) and a miscarriage 2 years ago. Shortly after the miscarriage we started visiting fertility doctors in our town. I have been to every fertility doctor in our small town, I've been on several rounds of Clomid, several rounds of Clomid & Metformin, I've had an HSG (which was clear) and we had 1 round of Clomid & insemination. After my first insemination my dr. said to me, as I was lying on the table, "This usually doesn't work the first time" then left me lying on the table to wonder - then why am I here? After that expierience I was done - done with the poking & proding, the painful testing, the emotional rollercoaster & the fact that we still knew absolutely NOTHING! I went through a period after all of this where I didn't want kids, but that feeling has subsided and now I'm back in the game. Let's hope things go a little better this time!

So, what are you going to try next? Are you seeing a new Dr.?

Limited resosurces

Unfortunately, I live in a small town and my resources are limited. I have already visited the three fertility doctors we have here with no success. This spring my DH and I are going to travel to Denver to visit a IVF clinic that is supposed to be great. I know several people that have had success with this particular clinic - so let's keep our fingers crossed.
