Christine - Great news re-the tests. Just like you said and Aunty, my dh is always so happy when he gets the test results. Don't think that he wants to think that it is due to him that I have to do the injections etc. At the end of the day whatever the reason does not really matter to me - same end result that it makes it tough for us to have a child together! In the last week, I just try to look after myself. Get plenty of rest as was always waking up early thinking of injections or going to hospital. Try to cut down any caffenine and any alcohol if you have not done that already. Just take care of yourself nicely!! Try to stay calm too!

Bec - Have a nice day today with your Mum. How sweet of you to colour her hair. I shall be doing my own tomorrow and trying to make sure that I don't miss any patches. Hope it takes yoyr mind off the Estrogen. You have had such a time. This is the one for you hun. We are with you all the dam way!!!!

Erin - So sweet of you to drop by. Glad that op is done. Hope that you are not to sore after the drugs wear off. You sound like you are in great shape. When I had the lap op, I was pleased that they had looked inside as it must help them understand better. Right?? Take good care

Shantala - The waiting drives me insane. Hope that you'll be able to get the December slot. May be call if you don't hear in a few days and even if full then might be worth asking if you can be put down in case there is a cancel?? Never does any harm to ask............ X Factor tonight. Number 1s. Should be great. Ray is not doing swing. Ricky Martin song. Ben has a bad throat. Hope that he will be able to sing. Robert doing Michael Jackson. Competition is going to be tough. McD's doing famous Wet Wet Wet song. They may stay in again!!!!???

Rachel - Glad that you so called friend has seen sense. I am out with a mate today. I have arranged place and massages etc for both of us. Then she sends me a mail saying maybe we can have a glass of champagne afterwards. She knows dam well that I have not had a drink since I got the BFN in May. What was she thinking? Oh right she was not thinking at all!!!! What ever. I am refusing to let it wind me up - much! What did you have done to your hair? Bet it looks lovely. Good to do little treats for ourselves - we need it.

Becky - I am so sorry you are in such a tough situation. I wish that I could come right over to Ireland and give you a huge hug. It sucks. It seems that they don't think that it is that critical when it is everything for us. It is natural to still feel rough after all you have been through. Something would come up and then it would all come back to me when another day I would be just fine. We are all here for you hun
Hope that Xfactor will at least put a smile on your face this evening for a short hour or two.

Aunty - Please give me all the advice that you have. It is all really welcome and helpful. I just want to give this my best possible shot - at my age, time is not on my side. Someone told me about the aspirin and I took through last cycle. But I never asked clinic about it. This time I just plan to do everything that clinic tells me to do. See clinic next Friday so will ask their view on aspirin then. Know that it thins the blood so can improve circulation I think. That is what my acu has been working on. If you told me to stand on my head then I would right now. Thanks again

Hope that everyone else is having a good Saturday.

So for me - 2 stabs down. Only a little bruise so far. Total pro!!!!! Ha Ha. AF is quite heavy but not painful at all. Exactly what I was told to expect after the acu and herbs. Just hope that it is getting me all nice & cozy inside!!! Off to spa with mate to get me chilled right out and then XFactor. Full of PMA.

Love to you all.

Good morning ladies!!!

the weather here is very cold but very sunny, too!!! and what a difference it makes to my mood when the sun is shining through the curtains when i wake up!! :D

firstly, nimble - sorry hunny, i forgot you in my last big post. how exciting you're just down the road from me!!! which clinic do you go to?

tc - really excited that you can start so soon. hugs. xx

bec - thanks and glad your mom is doing ok. a day with you will make her feel much better and help her recover, i'm sure!!

Erin honey - i'm so pleased everything went well! woohoo :D sorry to hear you're in pain and drugged up but it will all be worth it soon.

lara - thats really cheered me up that you managed to start in the same week! thanks. glad your AF nearly gone (wish mine has) and that your friend has come back down to earth again. sure your hair looks lovely!!

Aunty - thanks for adding my birthday! :) thanks for the supportive words. and its very true and something i hadnt thought about - if its delayed i'll be cycling with you! how cool!! thats cheered me up! :D just ordered my folic acid over the internet and that should be here tuesday. also, although i've given up caffeine i dont drink 2 glasses of milk. so thats my next mission. cant believe you put me on the list for the 13th...talk about PMA! why not!! think i'll make a ticker for that day. :D

carolyn and my other xfactor buddies - you never guess what!! i wont be in again tonight!! a friend from devon has come down and wants to go out for a meal tonight so we've agreed but DVD recorders are a godsend. so i'll be watching it soon after the meal. and i wont have to wait for the results (hehe!!)

now, welshgirl - last but certainly not least!!! i am so sorry about those stupid doctors and/or receptionists who didnt make it clear to you what is happening. and i'm so sorry to hear about your mum!! its very natural that you're feeling depressed. its so difficult what we're going through without all the other bits in our lives (such as your mum, jobs, etc etc) that its no wonder we all break at some point. but hey, you know what? when you're feeling better we'll all be at the other end and whilst you're feeling s*** we're still here too!! lots and lots of hugs!! thinking of you hunny! xxx

thats it for now (thank god, i bet you're thinking - does she ever shut up?? )

take care

morning carolyn

think its a good idea to call in a few days and tell them i'd be happy with a cancellation. i'll leave it till wednesday i think and then call them.

got a funny feeling that the mcdoodle brothers will be staying in again!! lol

sorry to hear about your champagne mate! they just dont think, do they!! i work with my SIL and we are having a christmas ball for work on the 16th dec. i booked 2 tickets for DH and I but then thought about cancelling as my work mates LOVE their drink and i couldnt be bothered to be the only sober one. plus, i dont know when i'm starting the drugs and how they are going to affect me, etc. so i said to my SIL that i thought about not going and explained why (she knows about the ivf) and she said well why dont i just start the ivf after NYE so i can drink at the christmas ball and NYE. yeah, like its that simple. so i'm really feeling for you. they just cant understand (although if they used one of their brain cells i'm sure they wouldnt make comments like that!)...gggrrr.. :) xx

hope you have a good day today anyway though

take care

Hey girls do you mind if I join you?

Post by sokru8 »

Hey girls do you mind if I join you? I am starting my first IVF in DEC.
Little about me: I had blocked tubes due to a complication from an operation and had to have them removed in Aug. My dh has an excellent sperm count and we supposed to be "excellent candidates" for IVF.

I am on bcp and will be finished with them Nov24th. Shots to start the week of Nov 27th. ER planned for Dec 5th-8

This is such a wonderful website and I can tell that you all are very supportive of one another.

Wish you all the best of luck!

Hi Lovely Ladies...

Quik post on. Saturday evening. DH has gone for business trip since Thursday till monday :( I can't come cause I got fever since 3 days ago. I was little bit shame to tell you, cause I couldn’t hold my feet not to go to internet even I was sick. Im okay now. I just finished having dinner at Mc Donald. Eating fried chicken (don't you know that till 2000, Indonesia the only McD served Fried chicken?). Had a nice conversation with the manager. Told her anything I know about TTC. She listened seriously because she just got married. N also told her about IVF process. Anyway she thought from the meaning of IVF in our word that if you did IVF, you put embryo on a big stainless steel tube n keep the baby until 9 months, She shocked that the embryo only 3 days outside mommy :D :D Sometimes I feel sorry about my people... Poor Indonesian...

Anyway, I come here to save some post so have something to read b4 go to bed. N also I just remember something. I am afraid I will forget again. After ET, My Nurse gave me 'Crinone'. Transvaginal Progesterone. She told me to do it in the morning, after putting it deeply into my vagina (sorry...). I had to walk slowly about 5 minutes so the blood would circulate it. Meanwhile my roomie (same clinic, same procedure, same DR) told by her nurse (different nurse) to put it at night before sleep n stay at bed. N also her nurse asked her to keep them at fridge. Put one out one hour before she used it. My medicine on top of desk :( I want to know if you also did progesterone trans vaginal. What did nurse or DR tell you? When my roomie told me, I had been in 10 days using them, so I closed my ear not listened cause it was only few days b4 HPT, I didn't want to get stress.

Thank you for helping me. I really need to know your experience. I don't know between the 2 nurses which one gave the right direction. Well, my roomie pregnant now... I know... I know... a lot of things behind her BFP. I just want to do the right thing on next cycle. N also I trust you a lot. Remember... when I argued with my roomie about the best time to inject Gonal. You opened my brain n you were right 100% :D :D

Sorry no personal today. Talk to you later. Happy weekend…

Luv, Jemma
PS: Americans, your president is visiting us on Monday… :D

Hi Ladies,

Hope you're all having lovely weekends. It's beautiful weather here in Mel (hee ! hee! don't be jealous) yesterday we went for a picnic with friends and their 2 little girls) and today I am off to yoga and then to see U2 - very excited!

Thanks so much for the thoughts on 1 or 2 - I'm still undecided - need to decide soon though..

Jemma - I will be on the crinone pessary gel soon too - I didn't keep it in the fridge. Just stuck one up there everynight - lovely! NOt sure what my dosage will be with the FET but will find out this week.

SSalgado - glad you are on track with your FET - all going well we should be within a few days of each other.

Carolyn - glad shots are going well. It's amazing how we build the strength to do this isn't it? Never in a million years thought I cd stick needles in my stomach but it wasn't so bad. You sound in a great place right now - very strong mentally and physically and I am sure this will be your time.

Nimble - you should definitly get yourself to Mel for Xmas (see earlier comment re weather :D - st kilda is a great spot - used to live round there myself! Hope pamper w/e is fab.

Erin - hope you are recovering nicely from your op

Becky - I am so sorry you were feeling sad - it's horrible when those days hit us. Hope clinic come up with some thing for you. I think it is courageous of you to ask questions - I guess I don't ask enough - it is a good point re the freeziing. We were told we fertilsied 12 last time and then only 5 "were good enough to freeze" - I Just accepted that but you're right - what about those other 7. Anyway I think it is good to have principles and stick to them - I hope that makes sense - I am thinking of you. I hope you had quality time with your DD and got that beautiful dress for her.

Rachel - glad your hair is looking fab. I am going to do a DIY job this pm - no doubt there will be mess all over the bathroom and towels!

Becleo - just off to yoga now - ooommmm!

Scan for me tomorrow - grow lining grow. Hope I've increased from a pathetic 5mm - one of the other girls has 13mm!

Love to all.

Jemma...I was prescribed Crinone Transvaginal Progesterone to use after my first IVF transfer. I didn't get to that stage, but wanted to make sure that I knew how to use them, if they needed to be refrigerated, and if they were as good as the shots. I was instructed that they should not be refrigerated, and should be administered each night before bed. That allows the progesterone to absorb without liquifying and "falling out". Also, they are supposed to be just as effective as the shots, but are more expensive and a lot of insurance companies won't cover the Crinone. So, I know that I had to pay US$50 extra to take the Crinone over the shots, but that was well worth not having to go through the shots. Unfortunately, I never made it to that stage, but they're waiting for me (unrefrigerated) for my next cycle. I'm trying to be optimistic that I can use them this go round.

Just got back from picking up our new SUV from the dealership. Pretty spiffy...Has a DVD player and GPS navigation system...There are so many gadgets on it, that I'm not sure how to even turn the radio on...Hopefully my husband can teach me tomorrow in mentally challenged terms, so I can remember all of it...Now I know how my mom feels when she has called me to tell her how to copy and paste in Word. Anyway, it has three rows of seats, so I told my husband that we now have to fill them with lots of babies... :) He said one seat being filled would be enough. I agree. No need to be greedy when we're still working on baby number one...That makes me think of poor Ophee from the October Buddies thread...She's gone from hoping to be pregnant with one, to thinking it might be twins, to having triplets confirmed, to most recently having quadruplets confirmed by another doctor! Could you imagine!?! That's such a blessing, but not sure one I would have the energy to endure. It's still early, so she's staying very realistic, but what a surprise watching her story develop. Develop in more ways than one...

Well...That's enough for me tonight...No need for personals. I think they're covered, and better than I could do. Besides, you all know how much I love you all, and I carry your dreams of motherhood with me through every step of our journey together. Take care ladies, and I will talk with you all soon. Sweet Dreams of Baby Bumps...
