Hi Bobo,

I know You are asking to Ghost. I hope She/he will be here to save you. Just want to share my last experience about cramp. about 3 hours after ER. I got very very bad cramp. It was very hurt, if I moved my body even in slowly motion it hurt so much. I cried. Next day, like magic it disappeared.

How are you now? I hope you are okay. Im praying for your ET going well. GBU

bobo, cramping is normally after ER as many holes had been pocked through your ovaries to do the egg collection. And your ovaries are probably in the size of grapefriuts. You shouldn't worry about period as you are not suppose to have it that early.

If you do feel bloated, it could be that your estrogen level was kind of high. With the HCG shot you gotten before your ER, it will triggle the bloating. I had that too, it will settle when you HCG start to leave your body ... normally after 8 to 10 days (and all gone in around 14 days). If you feel bloating again after that, don't get panic, that's good news.

Normally, the eggs will be fertilized on the next day after retrieval and started to grow. If it doesn't fertilized by day 1, most likely it will not. 3 is not bad, if there all grow well, you will most likely to have all 3 of them transferred on Monday (depending on the country and region you are in).

Take care and don't worry so much!

Drink lots of water and even ginger ale.. helps sooo much with the bloating.. are you still cramping??? try some mild heat for the pain.. but you should be feeling better in a few days... the ginger ale helped me a lot....

Hey- after ER I was in absolute agony!! I could not walk, or sit without everything hurting. Not only has the needle pierced your ovaries it was also inserted through the walls of the vagina to get to the ovaries. The worst pain and cramping for me seemed to be from the ultrasound-head - I think they were quite violent with me as they moved it about inside me to direct the needle to the eggs in the ovaries! I was bloated throughout the entire IVF process - but just drank heaps of water. I had terrible pain with my left ovary - it felt like it was going to burst at one point - but from the ultrasound the doctor did, everything was o.k. and I was in no danger of over stimulation. The pain was worst on the day of ER but gradually lessened over the course of about 3 days. When I had the transfer done 2 and a half days after ER, I was still in pain from the egg retrieval.

Hope this info also helps... Bekki xxx - wishing you heaps of luck!

I had cramping after my ER this last time and a sharp stabbing pain. They did a sono and found out my the follicules filled up with blood after they took the eggs out and it swelled up the size of a baseball. I would let your doctor know if it continues
