If so, I think the standard answer for this board is 'JUST DON'T'. The reason is the HPT (home pregnancy test) can give false negatives at this phase and may dampen your spirits for no reason, something you really want to avoid during this important time.
If you decide you want to anyway, just know that embryo's generally don't implant until 7-10 days after ovulation, so if your frosties are 5-day blasts, they're not going to implant for another 2-5 days. And, there's another few days before the hcg begins to secrete from the newly implanted embryo. Thus, the earliest an HPT could be postive is 9-10 days post ER (or 4-5 days after transfer of a 5-day blast). Even that is pretty aggressive and most people won't get a + hpt until well after that - say 14 days post ovulation. Usually, that's about the same day or maybe just a couple of days after the clinic's blood test beta which is going to be more sensitive.
thanks for the replies. I am trying not to give in and take a HPT, but as you all know its very tempting. I will hold out as long as I can. I go for a blood test on the 24th.
I hate testing (even when the RE makes me) so I never feel like POAS.. lol... Dreaded things!!!!

Hello all
I was wondering what your test results came back as and if you decided on POASing? Just wondering what happened with that. I hope that everything went well and you are PG with your baby that you want so badly.
I will be doing a medicated FET. I just started with BCP's and then I have to take one depot lupron shot and 2 weeks later I start estrace tablets, estrogen patches and PIO. I am really looking forward to the transfer in January-Darn holidays getting in the way and all!!!! LOL
