Hi All-
busy weekend but finally getting a chance to pop in.. time to catch up huh!

Nia- hi welcome back it is good to have you here with us :)

Aunty- it is truly a special person who adopts and/or fosters, it is something DH and I have discussed, and I know too that if IVF wasn't meant for us then there is many many different options. I do hope too that your next cycle is THE cycle. I really appreciate all your PA to me and the other girls. it really matters. I look forward to your posts!

Carolyn- hey sweet thang happy shots to you! (get it instead of thoughts.) the weekend flew. My mom is home from rehab YEAH! her knee is recovering really well. we had a great day together yesterday. my brother brought in my nephew and triplet neices (ALL IVF BABIES!!!!!)

sUZHAN all the sticky best to you!!!! My lining was 17 when I was supposed to go. it is totally a woman to woman thing, everyone is different, it will all be ok! heep positive thoughts flowing..
and to see my moms face light up was great. the triplets are so friggin cute, 20 months old, and are the best! I am down regging nicely. better today, just waiting to start the shots. tried to get my shipment of drugs scheduled but insurance hasn't officially approved it all yet... they suck.. oh did i say that hehhe!

ANGIE_ grow lining grow... slow and steady, it is a good thing. lets make it thick like molassis.. now that is a visual hheheh!

Sokru8- WELCOME ABOARD THE IVF TRAIN chooo chooo!

SS- how was your weekend ?? can we call you patch now????

Shantala- this weekend was pretty good. wish it were a tad longer, but spending time with my mom was so good. she makes me feel like everything is going to be ok.. how are you... get on the waiting list definitely. you never know right, and you are so worth it! isn't it funny how people think you can just turn you ivf switch mode on and off. like stop for a party to drink and then turn it on again and begin your next ivf..
for me I just am trying to listen to my body. right now it is saying GO BABY GO! so to stop for a holiday seems not a good idea. I am ready scared shitless, but ready. ahh the rollercoaster ride !

Jemma I took my gel at night too, BUT one cycle they had me doing it morning and night. some might leak out but my doc told me the dosage was made with that in mind, that enough does absorb to do its job. mine wasn't refrigerated. just room temp... but either is ok... for me room temp squirt up the vagina sounded more appealing that the cold blast heheheh! Be kind to Bush tomorrow. hehehe!

Angie- hope yoga rocked. I will be ommmmming tomorrow night... need to be a bit more centered!

ok i am a tad tired so for those I didn't get to I am sorry! I love you all so much!!!!!

good night!
Bec

morning ladies!!

well, get ready for a big one. i've missed a day or two and there's so much i have to say.

aunty - i know what you mean about people being in the tww soon. its so exciting! glad you're still speaking to me after stealing your ticker  mind, you i have changed it now. think its a great idea to consider fostering. its so important that we have loving fostering families out there and i think you would make a great fostering mummy! i kept checking on mia too yesterday (even though i dont know her but its nerve racking anyway) and its such a shame. its great that she's starting so soon again though and i really respect her for it as i'm not sure i would be able to. i was tempted to write a message to her to tell her to join us but thought i would leave it as she doesnt know me. then she can join our BFP group!! :D

jem - how are you feeling hun?? DH is back today! woohoo! :D dont know about you and maybe its just me but i'm dreading the pessaries. i'm actually more worried about them than the jabs (am i weird??). they're just such a pain in the bum!! :) did have to giggle about the milkshake business but its not just over your end there's confusion. my dad called last sunday (day before meeting with the consultant) and said good luck with the fertilisation!! bless them!

Angie - just wanted you to know whatever decision you make will be right for you and we'll be right behind you! hope your lining is doing well and preparing itself for that BFP!! cant believe your FET is soon! i'm so excited for you! lots of sticky baby dust!! :D

SS - good luck with your treatment. it's so exciting!! :D

nimble - how was your pamper weekend? i hope you realise when we have our twin we better meet? just down the m4 so there is no excuse!!

erin - hope you're doing ok hunny and recovering well. and hope DH is running round after you like a headless chicken making sure you have everything ready to hand!!

welshgirl - how are you hunn???? hope you've cheered up a bit. thinking of you loads!! xx

charity - SUV sounds amazing. have you learnt how to use it yet? coudnt believe it when you told us about ophee!! thats so incredible. i looked her up and read some of her posts when she told the girls here about her news. it gave me goosebumps!

lara and my other x-factor buddies - i agree, robert should not have gone out!! i was gutted. and the mcdoodles are still in!!! and although i like eaton road, i do think they were worse than robert this time. thought they were all over the place. lara, have you called the adoption line yet? do keep us updated on that. i know as carolyn mentioned, the authorities are quite strict here and the one i looked in to want you to have had a good break after failed IVF before applying for adoption. but i think its a good thing if you can apply whilst doing IVF as it takes the pressure off slightly.

carolyn - hows the weather up your end? its so cold and rainy here!! sniff. which clinic do you go to?? sorry to hear your mate was awkward about the whole situation. i guess its better to avoid the topic rather than talk about it awkwardly but i wish people just asked us how we feel and what they can do to help. good luck also with your next injections tomorrow. so excited that you'll be on your 2ww soon!! :D

bec - glad your mom is doing ok. :D :D you sound so nervous and excited!! i'm so pleased for you. you can do it! you can do it!! :D

i still havent had a letter (i know its only been a week!! ) so i called today and the ivf unit still havent got my details on their system and they told me to call the secretary who does the referrals. i've already emailed her so i think i'll just wait for a reply from her. the thing is that i want to chase it as i know what hospital referrals can be like but at the same time i dont want to annoy them. think i'll wait till next monday and if i still havent heard then i'll call her.

thats it for now

xx

Hi Ladies,

First off - thank you all for your kind words, its nice to know that ur all rooting for us and ur thoughts stay with me always :)

I cant really tell u much more than what u already know (u know as much as me lol) Ive been really down lately wot with the clinic keeping us hanging on, being in limbo isnt very nice.
Aunty - there are only 2 clinics here in Northern Ireland, and im already on the waiting list for the other one. I dont know how long the list is, but all we can do is wait. I cant beleive the clinic did that to me and have kept us waiting since our last appointment on 10th October  Maybe its a sign who knows!
Anyway - to all u lovely ladies who have already started :D :) :P well done, i feel ive missed so much even if i dont read for 24 hrs!! i cant wait to see ur BFP's up on the board. The list is looking great Aunty (as always) u do us proud.

X-Factor buddies: OMG - i cant beleive Robert went over Eton Road and The McDoodle brothers are still there!!! Whats this world comming to???? I reckon Simon did that to get rid of the competition because he wants the final to be Ben and Leona. Anyway - i was well stunned i honestly tht he wud have sent home Eton Road home!

Im in work at the moment, the boss has just nipped out of the office, so i have to be quick, i will read u all later ....

Becky Xxxx

only me...just had an email from the clinic to say we have to wait as they want DH to have an andrology assessment before they refer us (the third one!!). when we spoke to the consultant last week he was going to get this done as part of the ivf treatment so that we could get in sooner so i just called him to ask whats going on and he said that unfortunately they cant do it as part of tmt. this has to be done before and then once we have the result, if its still the same, we get referred. so i think we're looking at jan or feb for the open evening now. i just hate the waiting. its driving me nuts. why do they tell you one thing and then tell you another 2 minutes later?

on the upside, i get to cycle with many of you! :)

Shantala- morning. I can relate to the waiting and just when yu think it is going youhave to wait again. I really think going through all this is such a test at your patience!!!! It is frustrating too when the nurse tells me one thing when the doctor then tells me something else... but I just gotta have faith, and it sounds like you have the right frame of mind. I realized this morning that tomorrow I will begin my second phase of down reg and then it hit me that it IS getting close ohh, I can almost feel those shots a coming... hehehehe! I am nervous, afraid to get my hopes up again, but I know I will! and I want to. every time I have to think this is it! keeps me going!
Becky. See above for my patience theory. hang in there! It is so unfair that they are putting you through this, Keep on them. it will happen I know it!!!! big hugs!

SS- GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rock on my friend!

Erin- how are you feeling? back to work today right. i hope you had a good weekend!!!!! werd weather change here huh. though turkey day should be good, can't wait!!!!

Aunty- how are you. gearing up for turkey day there too? did you say you were going to the Macy's Parade????

happy monday to all..
love bec

Hi ladies,

It is going to take me some time to get caught up with all of the progress that has been made but I promiss I will.

Thanks for all of your kind words and thoughts. I am back to work today, still very sore and uncomfortable. Going to try and stay as long as I can but I have a feeling I will not make it the whole day. I am going to call the clinic soon because I am concerned. If anyone can put me at ease I would appreciate it. I started bleeding yesterday as though I have my period, It is very bright red and I am concerned that there is something wrong (I know that was TMI) I read my discharge form and it said you could bleed for 5-7 days but I want to be sure that the amount and color is what should be happening. I know I am probably worrying for nothing but I cant help it.

I have my followup appointment on the 29th and I should be getting my start date then. I am so glade that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will fill you all in as soon as I know something.

Bec- It is sooooo cold today! I cant believe it. I hope you have a wonderful Monday, cant wait for the sales after turkey day so that I can get some christmas shopping done!

Love you all and I will talk to you all soon!

Good Morning Lady's
Auntie Becca Sassafrass Awwwww how cute is that how broke are you going to be...LOL

Erin i agree with ABS if you dont feel well dont push yourself i have also heard bleeding is normal but you know yoru own body so if it gets so it doesnt seem right then you must call your clinic...feel better soon hugs

Bec no im going to the Macy's sale if i take my own balloons does that count..i know this isnt very american but i dont like perades i dont have that long an attention span i stand for 5 mins then im like a 5 year old looking round what i can get into...LOL we arnt doing the turkey dinner thing this year we wanted to help out at church or at a shelter but they had all the help they needed so shopping it is.... :D

Shantala i know it seems hard right now and your bound to be dissapointed ... but this is from a woman who had her last cycle devestated because the clinic forgot to do a test its better for them to get them all done now so when you do start 1 you will be with us tailenders and 2 it will all go smoother no suprises well except what to do with 9 embies...hugs

Becky i really hope you get some news soon thinking of you as always

love to all read you later...Aunty

hey everybody

thanks for the nice words. its so difficult when you get all hyped up mentally for something and then are told something different. but hey ho.

bec - it certainly does test your patience. thanks for your coping technique. it will all be worth it in the end. ggrrr waiting lists. good luck with your second phase tomorrow. (are there 2 phases?? )

erin - its so good to have you back honey. please take it easy and like everybody else has said, just listen to your body. but as you're on this thread nothing is allowed to go wrong anyway. so you'll be fine! :D no, on a serious note, do listen to your body and annoy the doc by keep calling them if you need to!

aunty - thanks for your kind words and it will be really good to cycle with you experienced ivfers. cant believe they forgot to do a test! is that possible?? that makes me feel a bit better. at least if we get a test date soon for DH i can make up a ticker building up to that. hope you got some of your money back if it was their muckup. you know what that means though. their muckup their fault bfn. no muckup this time, no fault, bfp!! :D you so deserve it!

Hi Ladies

Just been catching up on all your posts. Loads happening in just 24 hours.

Erin - don't over do it. I think that my 1st op was slightly different to you but done viw lap. I bled really badly about 3/4 days after the op if I recall correctly. I called dr and they bleeped the on-call consultant. My dh made me do it as it happened at night. They told me that it was normal. But if you are concerned at all then call and just ask. Best to get reassurance from the experts. I went back to work too soon and sense it took me longer to recover as I over did it. So pace yourself and if you are tired then make sure that you get plenty of rest. It will be great that you'll have a firm plan by the end of the month. I feel like I wasted so much time over the summer with the 2 ops that I had........

SSalgado - very best of luck with boarding the ivf rollercoaster. I am hoping that everything will go really well for your cycle

Angie - OWWWW. It is getting so close for you. Slow and steady growth sounds like a nice home is building for your little one(s). U2 sound as fab as they were 20 years ago. I bet that it brought back a few memories for you

Shantala - sorry that there are more tests to carry out on your dh. I know that it so tiresome to just wait-wait-wait. I do understand your frustration hun. As Aunty says best to get all the tests out the way now.

Can tell you that it is cold, wet and miserable here if that makes you feel any better. I am at Hammersmith hospital. Lucky as only about 20 mins drive from home for me. It is where my lady GP referred me and the unit was overseen by Lord Winston although now he no longer works there as he is too busy with TV!!!

Bec - Glad that you had a top time with your Mom and that she is doing well. Glad down reggie not too bad for you - not too many warm moments. Getting close to stimmies for you hun. Sure that you are great with all of your nieces and nephews. I have been buying lots of pressies for them all already - it is such fun!

Becky - Been thinking of you all w/e and hoping that you will get some news soon from your clinic. They have to take a decision soon - surely. Agree that Eaton Rd were pants on Saturday. Think that Simon is doing all he can to get Leona to win. Have some sympathy with him as girls always struggle to get votes especially against cute guys!!

Aunty - I simply love Robbie. My dh bought me 4 tickets the day after my BFN as a special cheer up treat to go see him on 15th Sept at Milton Keynes. His only condition was that I took my sisters, friends and that he did not want to come!!! He was awesome. We had such a blast

Jem - sorry cannot help with the pessaries. I have to put mine in another place!!!! Even more yuck! I don't keep in the fridge.

Suzhan - the very best of luck for your ET today. Take it really easy. I am sure that your little ones will be snuggling in just where they belong

Hugs to everyone else.

I am still quite calm. 4 jabs down. Tomorrow is the first day of 2 jabs. I add the antagonist jabs which I have not used before as I did a long cycle with down regging rather than a flare cycle. Hope that will be ok. Now know that I get headache after lunch or if I don't eat so trying to do (little) and often  Have acu tomorrow which is always good to calm me down. He wanted to see me around Day 6 so he can focus on helping me generate good quality eggs. Wow. Next time I go to see him will be on day of ET! OMG. OMG. Trying to take on board lots and lots of water as was at risk of OHSS last time. Day at a time!

have a lovely evening where ever you are dear ladies.
Love to you all

OOO Carolyn im with you on the OMG OMG lol i was doing the list and thinking ooo TWW very soon i get so excited...thing about the water now i like you thought that upping the water intake help stave off OHSS i had a mild case last time and i drank 3L a day and it lasted months i was huge thing i found out after was (from ladys who got hospitalized from it) that you should limit water intake to 1L a day and no salt diet apprently it worked for them so im going to be doing the 1L with my milk and pinaple juice see if i do better than last cycle...i think between EC/ET i will be adding gatorraid too i know lots of ladys drank that and it helped but i dont think its great for baby so maybe a nono after ET....

ooo gosh ok i got butterflys again
