6 weeks Scan showed......

....we're having TWINS!!! OMG! Hurrah. It was so amazing to see two little heartbeats on the screen. Its such a massive relief to get this scan out of the way. It has to have been the longest two weeks of my whole life! The scan showed I have four huge cysts which I'm told is a good thing as they are feeding the babies, BUT this explains why I feel so bloody sick all the time!! Apparently this is likely to last until about 16 weeks - so another 10 weeks of feeling awful! I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm so excited - I need a lie down!! love to all nikola.xxxx

Bloody Hell Nikola - twins heh? Brilliant and Congratulations. (Does this mean I finally get to grass on you to Helen? - lol). Shows what can happen though, doesn't it, all your feeling of no hope. Well, you'd better take it easy now the next few weeks (upto 12-ish weeks) you'll probably be more shattered than you have ever known in your whole life. Try and eat as healthily as you can (so a bit of restrain on the Percy Pigs if you can

Congratulations!!!! I had a feeling it would be twins when you said you were feeling sick and had a high hcg. I bet you're over the moon! Stock up on the ginger products and travel sickness bands - not wanting to worry you but my sister in law had ivf twins and felt nauseous up to 22 weeks - unfortunately it's worse with twins than singletons. Double the trouble eh? Anyway, congratulations again, and take it easy! love Sally (23 wks)

I'm so pleased for you Nikola and your DH. Was it buy one get one free? It must be those percy pigs, I only discovered them last week so next time I'll eat them from day one. Sorry about the cysts, do they cause problems except the sickness? Do you now go to your normal GP and midwife now? Enjoy your pregnancy and take it easy, remember there are two very precious buddles inside you. I think no housework for the next eight months should be okay! Keep in touch Lesley xxx
