Congrats to all the new Mommies! I am so excited for you all. Nothing new is happening at the moment for me, just sitting here in Baby limbo. I had my Baby Shower on Saturday and I was given lots of very nice things, I think my favorite is going to be the boppy! ( nursing pillow).

Jessica and Lisa how is everything going?

Big hugs to everyone!

I love looking at everyone's photos as well...what beautiful miracles!

I too am in limbo land..waiting...wondering when the big contractions will hit..I can't stand the suspense! Some days I feel really good and other days I am totally exhausted. Last night I did not sleep at all but today I am ready to go - just took the dogs for a huge walk in the woods and still have tons of energy. I have doctors appointment today so we shall see how the cervix is doing.

For those delivery vaginally - did you have any signs you were going to go into labor???

Tracii, I've heard that you have a burst of energy the day before you go into labor. It was true for me. I was super-woman the day I went into labor. Sounds like you had a big burst of energy today! Hmm...maybe a sign????

Still in limbo....I am also having some issues with my hormones...both the TSH and T3/T4 are high..has doctor baffled because if it were hypothyroidism TSH would be high and T3/T4 low (or vise versa)..so we took more blood...but if they remain high then I will get oxytoxin to bring on the contractions. I also may have a placenta issue or a very overactive baby so again we need to look at this on Thursday via CTG...but either way no sign of Isabella showing up this week. She did have a growth spurt in the last week and is up to 7lbs9oz.

Hope everyone is doing well! I am off to the DIY store 8)

Hi ladies - long time no post for me! I am so sorry if I have worried any of you. Danielle actually emailed me and told me you were asking about me, Jessica. So here is what is going on with me - I was diagnosed with placenta previa at my 10/22 appointment. My doctor said she was going to schedule me for a c-section when I was 38-39 weeks. She also referred me to a perinatal specialist for a level 2 ultrasound. I had the level 2 ultrasound on 11/6 (very cool experience!) and was told that my placenta is not actually covering the cervix, but it is very close to my cervix ( about 1.5 cm). My regular OB now seems to think that we can try a normal delivery but wanted to see the actual reports from the specialist first. I have any appt. today at 11 AM and will get a final decision today - I am hoping. I am nervous about trying a normal delivery at this point because I have read that there can be a lot of bleeding when the placenta is low lying. I have not been on bedrest - but I have been instructed to take it easy as much as possible and limit my physical activity. I have been extremely busy at work trying to wrap things up before my maternity leave so I have not had hardly any time to get online. I am going to bring my computer home with me over the upcoming holiday weekend and I will get caught up on all of your posts then - I am sure several of you have had your babies and others are getting closer! I don't know about you - but I am super anxious! The room is ready, we have everything we need, we just need a baby!

My sister had her little one on Nov 7. She was induced at 37weeks due to pregnancy induced hypertension. Her little girl only weighed 5 lbs - but she was very healthy and has already put on nearly a pound! So it looks like my sis and i both have little girls that will grow up together. We are thrilled!

Jessica - how are you? Isn't your cerclage coming out this week? I remember you saying something about it happening around thanksgiving.

Again - I am so sorry I have disappeared for awhile.

I will do better from this point forward - I promise! Congrats and well wishes to all who have had their babies! I can't wait to read the stories and hopefully see some pictures on photobucket.

I will post later to let you know what the verdict is after my appt. today.

Lisa,

Thanks for checking in!!! Was worried about you and though you have had a bit of scare I am happy that the prognosis is more positive than originally thought!!! My cerclage comes out 1 week from today!!! We are very excited and boy do I feel quite large!!! I am really hoping Logan comes next week after the cerclage comes out - he is already a big boy!!

Hi everyone! :) Congrats to Mel, Kristi, Charlie and Sue (and any other new mommies I hv missed out)! Saw the pics of your lil ones on photobucket, they're all so cute!

Can I ask whether it's "normal" not to have any braxton hick contractions? My EDD is close to Jessica and Lisa's... :) 36 wks now but have not experienced any.... is this normal?

Rouge,

Yes this is normal, some women never experience braxton hicks and some women don't feel labor contractions right away - so I think you are ok especially if this is your first baby!

I wish I didn't have braxton hicks.. This is my 3rd child and I have had braxton hicks every 5-10 minutes for the past 2 days now.. Im going mad... They really hurt, but the doctor says its not labor...

Maybe it will be labor soon...
