Hi Ladies,

I feel like I have dropped away for too long. So much has happened. Just wanted to let you all know that I am doing better. I ended up leaving work yesterday and I stayed home today. Still feeling kind of strange. Cramps and just feeling weird, dont really know how to explain it. I cant wait for my followup appointment to find out my start date. I am not sure how long after a surgery they will let me start. Well I just wanted to pop in, got to go lay back down so that i can make it through the day tomorrow. Love you all!

Welcome aboard Julie and Arizonakiwi!!! This is a lively group and VERY supportative. They will even go along on your Dr. appointments if you ask. Can't seem to get that image out of my mind after Aunty mentioned it. For you ladies that are in the US, there is a commerical for Verizon Wireless where this LARGE crowd of techs, support persons, etc. follow the phone user around. I could just imagine me at my Dr. office and turn around as I'm about to go through the door for checkup and get a wink and thumbs up from all of you. SO FUNNY!

Jemima - Thanks so much for the sweet words. Hope your blood work turns out normal. I think BABY stress is hard on us, not to mention the total twisting of our cycles and hormones.

Angie - I'm getting nervous for you. Do you know the exact day of the transfer yet? Friday or Saturday? Extra prayers and baby dust.

Lara - Happy 30th Birthday

Christine - Glad to know someone else is experiencing the same thing. Only 1 notice today and two new pages of posts. Guess I'm going to have to get on a routine check.

Aunty - Thanks for the pineapple juice tip. Started today. Still have to work on the water intake. I'm not much on water. I love juices, milk, and fruity mixable beverages, but hard to drink pure water. Would you post on your list that I have Planning Meeting on 5th December?

Becleo - Talking to the eggs? Awesome thought. I may try that next month. Why not? We talk to our babies in our womb and science says they can hear us. Wish we could talk to them while their in that dish. You know - mommy stuff - like "eat all your food" "be nice to your sister" "are you cold?". Okay, I've gone a bit over.

Thanks girls for the warm welcome back and welcome to everyone I don't know yet, I'm sure we will be well acquainted in the coming months. I don't quite know how I would cope without you all!

Rachel - I phoned the clinic and they said they are honouring everyone who has their dates in the book so fingers crossed we are ok!!

I hope you are feeling a bit better now, you need to get in the birthday mood and celebrate in true welsh style. Dh is also 30 tomorrow but he is working nights this week but it has given me the chance to decorate the house with banners and balloons, he will have such a shcok when he strolls in at 6am tomorrow!!! I have also put some banners outside so the neighbours know!! Anyway I hope you have a good day - enjoy.

Becky - I have just watched bbc 1 and I was also crying my eyes out , like you said crying for the people involved as well as myself especially the couple who lost one of their twins!
I hope you get the clinic hurry up and give you your answers!

Hello my lovely ladies - just a quickie as I'm at work. Aunty the 2ww poem is beautiful - it made me well up.

I'm getting nervous - I'm worried the embies won't survive the thaw, I'm worried I'm pumping too much estrogen in my body (up to 8mg a day now), I'm worried I'm going to get ovarian cancer - I heard this stupid sensationalist headline on the radio this morning that women w/o children and with fertility issues are more at risk - I'm being stupid I know - it was a silly headline with nothing to back it up - the media are terrible over here sometimes.

Sorry - I'm having a bit of a meltdown - I will stop now before I upset everyone .

Scan tomorrow - I was up to 7mm and doc needs a good 8mm so should be all set for either the weekend or Monday.

Happy Thanksgiving to the Americans out there!. Welcome Julie you and I are going to be going thru IVF at the same time I do my egg retrevial around the Dec 5th(hopefully)!
Question?I have a question about bcp's before IVF
I started bcp's Nov 15th and I have had my AF ever since Normally I only have AF for 3 days or so. I am done taking bcp's on Nov 24th. They told me that I would get AF following going off bcp's!
Should I call my doctor and mention my af or not worry about it?

Angie - Only a few days away. Take a deep breath and relax. The little embies are going to do just fine. You have got to relax and not stress so those little embies have a nice comfy environment to attach to. I know it is easier said than done. Are you also taking a progestrone with the estrogen? Did you decide on the number to transfer? I'll be praying for an awesome scan tomorrow.

Fed - What kind of surgery did you have? Sorry to hear you are still feeling under the weather. Take it easy and get well.

Just curious for those of you not in the USA - Is there a regulation on the maximum number of eggs that any Dr. is allowed to implant? Or, is it up to the Dr. and the patient?

sokru - I had spotting and AF while taking the bcp's. But since the long holiday is coming up, I would call your Dr. for a peace of mind. I know my Dr. office stressed to call any time I had a concern.

BabyBlue I'm originally not from US i think that in UK they limit you to 2 embies if your under 40 i think it's 3 if your over 40 they are trying to stop all the multiple births it costs them too much money to take care of baby's in the nicu

Sonya i would definitely call the clinic if your Af doesn't stop soon im the same as you a normal 3 day Af lady so its odd for it to last so long hope its all gone by tomorrow for you so you can move forward

Angie aww i wish i could give you a hug everything your feeling is normal pre mommy worry's you have all our prayers coming your way for your embies i wouldn't worry about the E2 from what i have read it really helps with the blood supply and stickiness of your womb so more is better ...oo your not going to get ovarian cancer but your not being stupid its normal when we hear about this stuff for us to worry it might affect us and i know that pregnancy reduces the risk so once your embies stick that takes that off the table all together....your lining is growing so nicely it is going to be perfect by the weekend or Monday and your embies will defrost and be ready for your sticky womb...sending you hugs...oh yeah you never have to apologies for a melt down that's what we are here for ...just wait till we all start on the nutty train

Angie, I can only imagine how you feel. Keep the faith sweetie and try to remember that your hormones are working OT and they make you think and feel everything times about a million. In a few days your embies will be safe and warm where they belong. I know it will be hard but try to think positive and focus on the warm feeling.
